Opppppps!!!!

I have had an extremely busy weekend and have not managed to even step into my craft room over the weekend, so didn't realise that 2 posts I sheduled had not appeared. I have combined them both this morning!!!!

This card is another just for fun, when i received these cute stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps, I just couldn't wait to stamp them up, the one thing I love about all of Kathys stamps is the wonderful faces she draws, they all make me smile just looking at them.

I have coloured So Funny Snowman, Christmas Tree, and Winters for the birds with Distress inks. The papers were all laying on my desk (I really must tidy it up),

The MS Snowflake Punches and Icicle border punch have been used, as well as lots of Glimmer Dust and Flat Back Pearls.

Wags'n Whiskers Challenge

This weeks Challenge was set by our fantastic teamie Jeanette, and is to use traditional Christmas Colours.

Now I know traditional colours would normally be Red and Green, but I love to use Blue and Pinks on my Christmas Cards, so I have taken a liberty with the theme and used MY traditional colours. What a fabulous little Girls card Sweet Danni and Bella makes.

She has been coloured with copics. I have run the blue card through the Holly Cuttlebug embossing folder before using the Nestie to cut it out. The Paper is by Kaisercraft. And the MS Snowflake Border Punch has been used.

Merry Christmouse

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

We have a Sketch by our very own Beth for you this week and also a Discount Voucher from PB stamps for one lucky winner. So hope you can come and join us.

First I would like to thank everyone for their concern and help with our TV situation, I have taken up the advice to get and indoor aerial and hopefully one of the boys is going to get me one today.

After seeing Debbys fabulous cards with the PB mice I just had to get one of the stamps and have a go myself, I have coloured this little choir in with Distress inks and added Glimmer Dust to the snow and Gold Glimmer Dust to the Halo and lantern.

The papers are from Nitwits Collection "Merry Christmouse". Snowflakes have been punched with Martha Stewart Snowflake Punches.

Christmas Joy

Just Magnolia Challenge

Firstly we have some news, some sad and some good! Kim, Martine and Rach have sadly had to step down from the DT due to other commitments. Thanks so much for all your fabulous work and support ladies – you will be hugely missed. Which brings me to a little announcement. Jacque, Sheila and Jane have joined our team!! Welcome aboard ladies, we’re thrilled that you have agreed to join us.

This week we have a sketch by Martine for you to follow and a great prize from this weeks sponsor The Cutting Cafe

What a morning its been and its not even 10am, we had a power cur last night and for some reason it has damaged Mums TV and our Sky connection, I cannot get an engineer until next Wednesday, TV is my biggest help as it keeps Mum amused and allows me to get on with things and without it I Can see myself spending all my time downstairs and not getting up here very much. ROLL ON Wednesday.

Enough moaning today I have used Tilda is off to a Christmas Party at Edwins would love to know what she has bought him!!! She has been coloured with Distress Inks and the papers are Magnolias Christmas Release. I have used Martha Stewart Snowflake Birder Punch and a little label stamp that I have no Idea where it comes from but glad I found it as I can see me using it again. Flowers are usual are from Tabbycrafts and Wild Orchid Crafts.

Will be back later with my Wags'n Whiskers DT card, and Sunday I should have some Candy to celebrate Advent for you.

Victorian Christmas

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Just in time with this one, I love this sketch by my dear friend Jeanette, there is also a fabulous prize for one lucky winner, Two fabulous stamps from Michelles Scrapbooking and More.

Bev sent me this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp ages ago and I just haven't had time to use it, she has been coloured with Distress Inks, these Bo Bunny papers were still on my desk after using them on Tuesday (what a bad housekeeper I am), and they gave me the ideas for the colours. The Flowers have been frosted with Pearl Glimmer Mist just for that extra shine.

This week we have a challenge for you of making a Christmas Card. Easy Peasy!!!
Just remember there is only 1 rule you must use a Whiff of Joy Stamp.

I have some sad news , our dear Rachel is stepping down and leaving us. We are going to miss her so much but dear I do hope you will join us from time to time. Mwah xxxx

I hope everyone in the USA has a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow.

You must have wondered about the title of this post, I am still without my Copics and Distress Inks and was thinking I would not be able to make a DT card for this challenge, when a light suddenly went on in my poor simple brain!!!!! "I have my Prismas". I havn't used these for ages and really need to get some lessons from our dear Tab, so I am afraid this is a bit of a makeshift card, I am not really happy with it.

The papers are Kaisercraft and along with the Spacers and Pearl Brads all come from The Hobby House.

Hope to be back at some time today if my Inks and Markers arrive.

Thanks so much for this Denise

I was getting really bad withdrawal symptoms from blogging and although I am still without my Copics and Distress Inks I just had to get a card up on here. Fortunately I have a folder of images I have coloured and not used and after searching through it came up with this lovely image by Mo from Mo's Digital Pencil which almost meets the challenge although it has a little bit of mauve in it.

Well I had the most fantastic 4 days in Darlington, learnt lots of new techniques from some extremely talented demonstrators and most importantly caught up with lots of friends and spent 4 days laughing until I couldn't laugh anymore. Yes PAT!!! I have seen the photo on your blog and I would like to stress that it was only Coca Cola in the glass. I did demo's on Copic and Distress Ink colouring and I think made quite a few converts to both mediums.

Onto this little card, the lush papers are by Bo Bunny and are glittered and embossed to perfection, the image has been coloured with Copics, the flowers were once white but have been sprayed with Creme de Chocolat Glimmer mist with Stardust stickles around the edge. I was a bit impatient to get this up on the blog, just to get my fix, and couldn't wait for the stickles to dry it looks a lot better now it is dry!!!!

Well hope to get around to all of your blogs at sometime today I have really missed visiting you all.

Something New!!!!!!

Our Dear Dawny P has a lot to answer for, sore finger tips for one, she gave Rach and I a quick lesson on jewellery making in the middle of the Exhibition Hall and both of us decided we would like to have a go, I bought 2 kits and as all my cardmaking bits are packed for tomorrow I thought I would have a go today, I see Rach has also been busy as well and she has posted her bracelet today, I had great fun making this once I had got the hang of it!!!! And I think another hobby may be in the offing for me. Just need to sort out what things are called I don't want to keep buying kits I would like to make up my own designs, but after visiting a Bead Website my head is reeling, I had over a £100 of stuff in my basket before I knew it, NO!!!!!! I didn't buy them I think I will have to learn a bit more before I visit another Bead Website.

If you would like to see professional Jewellery Making why not pop over Piggy Bling but keep a tight hold on your purse strings as Dawny has some fantastic creations for sale on there.

Hope you like them

Babys First Christmas

A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

It was my turn to choose the theme on A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge this week, I plumped for Babys/Pre-schooler Christmas Card. The lovely and generous Nikki from Bunny Zoes Crafts is sponsoring the challenge and is offering a fabulous New Anya Stamp. My Fellow DT Members have created some stunning cards, so I hope you will check them out and join in our challenge.

What a good excuse (if an excuse was needed) to use one of Janets fabulous stamps from Pink Gem Designs. The Eagle eyed amongst you will notice that I haven't stamped the image perfectly, this is not to do with Janets stamps which are fabulous quality, but the fact that I had packed my new stazon ink ready for the courier to pick up and take to the Craftaganza. I was left with an almost dry ink pad (so sorry). I have coloured the image with Distress Inks and used lots of Glamour Dust. The embossing was done with the New Cuttlebug Holly Folder.

The little white border at the bottom was punched with Martha Stewart Village Border Punch twice, once in Mauve and once in White, I have attached them together leaving a small mauve border, the again added Glamour Dust. The snowflakes were cut with a Sizzix snowflake die.

Well I am all packed and ready for my break, Mum has a full time carer coming for the 5 days and I am just looking forward to relaxing and have an overload of crafting with friends I haven't seen for a year. I have sheduled my DT cards for the week so hope it all works and you have something to look at for the next few days.

See you Monday
