Lili of the Valley Challenge–Spring

Thur1

A Bit late this morning I am afraid, our theme this week on Lili of the Valley Challenge is just right for the end of March “SPRING “  and The Lili of the Valley stamp “Spring Bunny with Eggs” fits the bill in 2 ways.  There is a £10 voucher to spend on the Lili of the Valley website for one lucky entry.

Thurs2

Copics have been used to colour the image and I have used Glamour Dust on the eggs and Polar White Flowersoft on the tail.  The papers are from my stash box.  I love the beautiful deep lace from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Whilst visiting Hannas lovely blog the other day I saw a link to making homemade flowers so I followed the link to Stampartic and found a brilliant tutorial by SaSsa, and had to have a go, I am quite pleased with the results for a first try, will be making these flowers again.

Happy Easter

Tues1a

This week is flying cannot believe it is Wednesday already I had so much catching up planed for this week and have done about half of it.   Whilst I was away my H&S stamps arrived they are so cute and I love the little minis, so pleased I actually managed to get these ones.

Tues1

I am trying to write this with Rosie on my lap, since I have been back she has stuck so close to me I am sure she is scared I will be going away again, she is just like a little dog and walks beside my heel and even comes in the shower with me, I just cannot imagine life without her now.

Down to todays card I have used lots of lovely new goodies on this card so the description may sound like a shopping list I am afraid.  I have used copics to colour the image (just a thought don’t you think the H&S girl and boy should each have a name I like Freya for the Girl, sounds nice and Scandinavian), I managed to pick up lots of the new Magnolia papers on my visit to Crafts U Love and have used two of them on here.     I mentioned yesterday that Tracy at Dies to Die For had some new dies from Cherry Lynn Designs and I have used another of these behind the image this one is called French Pastry Doily Die and is as intricate as the Doily's we have all been using.

Tues2

The sentiment is from a new release from Lili of the Valley, and seam binding and lace from The Ribbon Girl, I couldn’t resist colouring up the mini image.

Tues4

The large white flower is from Prima and of course the rest of the Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The have all been edged with Stardust Stickles.

Tues3

The Colours used are:

Flesh E11, E02, E00, E000, R20

Hat & Trousers: R83, R81, RV000

Boots C3, C1, C00

Blouse Y32, Y23, Y21

Hair, E70, E40

Our Challenge this time is a real Fun “One Dieing to Punch it out”.  We would love to see your projects using Punches and/or Dies, looking forward to seeing what your imagination makes of this one.

woc3

I have decided to make a little box which I intend to fill with chocolates for Mums 88th Birthday on 28th March.  The paper Lace around the sides of the box is punched with the Martha Stewart Doily Punch.  and thr front an top edges of the box have been edged with another Martha Stewart punch but I cannot remember the nale of this one.

woc2

The papers on the front and inside the box are from Linen Closet Paper Pad, another of my favourites.

woc4

The Wild Orchid Crafts flowers I have used are Pale Pink Poppies, Pale Pink Hellibore, 15cm White Roses & Rose Buds.  The Seam Binding and pearls are also from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Charms are from my stash.

woc6

I have decorated the inside of the box with the same papers which I have distressed with Walnut Stain DI and used more stamps from the LOTV Additions range.  The panels could fit a little better but this was my first box so will do better next time.

Fairy4

Well not long now before this fabulous collection will be available, check the Crafters Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog for details of the TV programmes and to find out more about this truly stunning collection.

Fairyuse

A very plain card for me, I used two different Nestie sets for and cut two of each, then distressed around the edges with Victorian Velvet DI.  The paper from the Fairyopolis CD has been distressed with my faithful scissors then inked with Victorian Velvet.  The Stamp is called Daisy Fairy (Surprise, Surprise) and the sentiment comes from the same Stamp Sheet, There are 3 fairies on each of the four sheets (Winter, Autumn, Spring & Summer).  The Seam Binding is from The Ribbon Girl.

Don’t forget you still have time to join in the Crafters Companion Fairyopolis Blog Hop, see my sidebar for details.
