A Couple of Magazine Cards

Sunday already and start of another week and almost another month, where has this year gone?  I hope you don’t mind but I have a couple of cards to show you that I was commissioned to do by Lili of the Valley for this months Papercraft Inspirations.

Mag5

The article accompanied a Free Gift with the magazine  (a pad of Lili of the Valley images ready to be coloured)  and my coloured image of  New Hat was used as the cover for the gift.

The papes on this card are from Nitwits Collections, and lots of dies where used, all of which come from Dies to Die for.  The flowers and Seam Binding are from Wild Orchid Craft.

Mag2

Fairies Bouquet was used on this card along with a sentiment from The Happy Circular Sentiment sheet from LOTV again the papers are from Nitwits Collections, and flowers from Wild Orchid Craft.

Sorry this is so quick got to get out in the garden and do a bit of tidying up, my poor house and garden have been neglected this last few weeks and are both beginning to look rather run down.

Have a lovely Sunday

Super Saturday

Hi peeps what a lovely morning, makes a change for a weekend.  Today sees the launch of SWALK, Humphrey 2  and of Course Spectrum Noirs on Create and Craft, there will be 3 shows today 10am, 12pm, 4pm with Sara and Leann so do try to catch them.

IMG_0599

This little Humphrey has stolen my Heart what a wonderful Daddy’s Birthday or Fathers Day card this image would make.  The stamp set is called (unsurprisingly) Fathers Day.  I have used 2 backing papers from The Crafters Companion Humphreys Corner CD.  The stars are die cut with a Die-namics Star Die from Dies to Die For, and Humphrey has of course been coloured with Spectrum Noirs.

IMG_0600

I have tucked a Stamping label from the same CD behind the image after stamping it with a couple of the accessory stamps from the stamp set.

And here we have an image from the new Crafters Companion SWALK release, this one is called: “Pants”, and just makes me giggle.

IMG_0603

The papers are from SWALK 2 CD, flowers and lace are from Wild Orchid  Crafts, and for the doily a Die-Namics die from Dies to Die for has been used.  Lots of glitter has been added to the Flowers and edges of the Doily.  And again the image has been coloured with Spectrum Noirs.

IMG_0594

Don’t forget to make a note of the show times to watch Sara and Leann.  Have a great weekend

JM & H&S plus a rather late Lili of the Valley Challenge Card

Morning everyone and thanks for visiting, have been all up in the air this week, but hopefully am back to normal today and have two cards to share with you, one a rather late Lili of the Valley Challenge DT Card and the other this weeks Just Magnolia & hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge Blog Dt Card

IMG_0607

The lovely Dawny P is our host on JM & H&S challenge and she has chosen BUTTONS, BLOOMS AND BOWS  for the theme, we have a fabulous prizes from The Ribbon Girl and The Cutring Cafe.

Again I have used Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir to colour Tilda, these really out my latest must have and I have now got the complete set Smile.  I decided not to use Paper Flowers for the blossom bit,  as every flower on this gorgeous sheet of backing paper by Websters Pages cried out to be used, I cut the rose and rosebuds in the bottom right hand corner from the paper and added it to the front with sticky pads, then added gold stickles to the middle of the flower.  The Seam Binding is from The Ribbon Girl and awesome filigree butterfly is from The Hobby House, I have added rhinestones to the butterflys wings.

IMG_0608

Spectrum Noirs Used:

Flesh: 139, 29, 132,

Dress: 2, 5, 22

Flower 35, 37

Leaf: 42

Now for my rather late Lili of the Valley Challenge Card

IMG_0610

My Lili of the Valley image today is called Feathered Friends and is from the new Christmas Release now available on the website.  Sorry this is not a very good piccie.  The paper is by Magnolia, I have used a Martha Stewart Border punch and Maroon Satin Ribbon which IRL is an exact match with the paper and card.  The snowflakes are punched with Martha Stewart Punches and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley Christmas Circular Sentiment stamp set.

Winner of Christmas in July

Can you let me have your snail mail address dear so I can get the stamp sent off to you
Hugs Jacqui  xxx

5 hours to go and counting!!!!!!

Well Peeps thats come around quickly there is now only 5 hours to go before you can get you hands on the lovely new Lili of the Valley Christmas Release, they go on sale at MIDNIGHT tonight.  As well as giving me  chance to show you my last sneak peek it has also allowed me to show off my NEW LOVE Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir marker pens.  Read on to hear my thoughts on these awesome pens

IMG_0590

Being a Granma to 7 boys this has to be my favourite image from the new release it is called “Ski Jump”.  The papers used at from Nitwits Collection Simple Joys, I have run green card through the Cuttlebug in the Snowflake  embossing  folder.  The Christmas tree is a die cut from Mariannes Designs and is available from Crafts U Love, and the border is a border punch from Martha Stewart I have glittered the tree and border with Glamour Dust.  The sentiment which I have attached with staples is from Lili of the Valley  A5 Verse Sheet   set 10.

IMG_0591

This is the first card I have made using Spectrum Noir Markers and I cannot praise them highly enough, the colours are selected to all be tonally compatible this helps so much when trying to choose colours and they just seem to flow with ease,  although the nib is a bullet nib, as in ProMarkers,  it is longer and easier to get into those hard to colour places.  At a cost of £6.99 for a pack of matching coloured pens the price cannot be beaten and they have the added advantage of being refillable.  There are 168 colours in all and that will be all your need as they match so well, I think this comes from them being chosen by and for Crafters rather than Graphic Artists. You will be seeing lots of my cards coloured with Spectrum Noir’s from now on.

Colours used :

Flesh: 142 – Pale Cream, 133 – Baby Skin Pink, 132 – Milky White, 135 – Pale Cherry Pink  FROM SKIN TONES SET

Scarf, Boots & Trouser: 91 – Natural Oak, 96 – Mahogony  (FROM BROWN SET) 142  - Pale Cream,  42 – Bronze Green, 175 Lime Green (GREEN SET)

IMG_0563
I found these gorgeous papers in a box of last years Christmas scrap papers and just had to use them with this sweet little stamp “Pretty Poinsettia”, I bet your mouths are watering with all these gorgeous sneak peeks we are showing but don’t worry not long now for the release.  I have used Copics to colour the image in my favourite colourway.  I think you can see there's lots of glitter spread around.
IMG_0565
I love this baby Pink Mist 20cm trellis rose you can almost smell the fragrance, and the Baby Pink Sweetheart Blossoms compliment  the rose beautifully, I have just popped over to The Wild Orchid Crafts Website and have been drooling over all the Christmas embellies now in stock.
IMG_0564
We also have a new Challenge on Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog today, the theme this week is “Fun and Games”
IMG_0569
I thought this little Kitty seemed to be have great fun playing with the ribbons so hope you think this fits the theme.   I have been so busy I think my Mojo went on strike whilst I was try to make this card, anyway I tried my normal cure all and visited some of my favourite blogs, I came across a card by the Awesome Talented Kim Piggot  and just loved the ways she had used the Doo Hickey Swirls, so I hope you don’t mind Kim I just had to build my card around them.
The Papers I have used are Pion Papers I am so in love with these papers cannot get enough of them.  I used another Doo Hickey Die to cut the snowflakes,  and have added copious amounts of glitter AGAIN!!!!!!
IMG_0567
Well you can take a breath now I have finished, hope you have a good day.

Mag3
I love this image “Little Girl – Swing Time”, she is one of our older stamps but is still popular.  The papers are from Nitwits Collections and of course the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Back Again

IMG_0544

Hi peeps back again with the quickest card ever Smile  , I will let you in to a secret I am not really Speedy Gonzales, I had already coloured the image so it was just a case of making up the card.  this is Christmas Puppy from the new Lili of the Valley Christmas Release due out on 25th July, some of you who visited the stand at Doncaster were lucky enough to get your hands on a few of these new images but they sold out fast.

The image is quite bust so I decided to keep the card very plain just red and white card, the image has been coloured with Copics and PolyChromos Pencils.  The White card on the left hand side was run through the cuttlebug in the Snowflakes Embossing Folder.

IMG_0543

The Ringing  bells and Double ended Holly Berries  and Red Organza Ribbon are from Wild Orchid Crafts

IMG_0543a

Sketch Saturday Challenge

IMG_0534a

Finally a card from me.  Thanks to everyone who sent such lovely messages to Rosie and Myself, I am glad to say that she seems so much brighter this morning, and we both had a full nights sleep last night. I have spent the last 3 days at the vets or with her sitting on my lap and making cards was the last thing on my mind, it looks as if the pain killers are kicking in now and the acid seems to have finished its dreadful work, although the Vet did say it could still look worse before it looks better.

IMG_0534

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday Challenge for this card and Lili of the Valley “Emma-Swing” stamp.  The Paper is from my Scrap Drawer so do not know who it is by although I have a feeling it is Doodlebug.  I die cut patterned paper and pink card with the Doo Hickey Romantic Tag  from  Crafts U Love.  The image has been coloured with Copics as usual. The Roses have been made with Marianne Designs Chinese Rose and English Rose dies.

IMG_0535

The Copics Used:
