All He Wants For Christmas

Hello from a fab sunny winters morning here in the UK, Going to get on with winter cleaning today before I put up the Chrissie Decs, so this is a really quick post.

Since I posted my Magic Shutter Card I have been asked by lots of you for a tutorial on how it was made, I will get down to making a tutorial at the beginning of next week  so keep checking.

I forgot all about the fab Kenny K Christmas images I bought a couple of years ago, but whilst going through my PC files I came across the Digis and just had to have a colour.

Have not used even one die cut on this one, it was hard !!!!,  The papers are a mixture of new and old Magnolia collections, the image has been coloured with Copics no Pencils used on this one.

Once again the pearls where white and have been coloured with R27 Copic.

The Lush 12mm Silver Lame Ribbon, two sizes of Berries and Yummy Sparkly Pin are all from the Ribbon Girl, Feather from my stash but I think I bought it at Hobbycraft.

Don’t forget to scroll down to the post below to enter my Candy Draw for a Cute Christmas Tilda and a Bag of Vintage Gold Berries

A Forgotten Card

Hello my lovelies, still a little tired not had a full night sleep since Monday, but noticed it was a full moon last night so that explains a lot, Mums sleep pattern is always upset for around a week during the full moon phase.  But I had some exciting news yesterday so am on a high at the moment, I managed to get onto the Rosemary Merry Retreat next November places on her Retreats are like Gold Dust and I was amazed that I had managed to sign up and pay WoooHooo!!!.

Right onto this mornings post, I made a DT card for last weeks Lilis Little Fairies Challenge and meant to schedule to appear whilst I was away, but during all the excitement of going to the Craftaganza it got forgotten so thought I would show it to you today, shame to waste it (and to be perfectly honest I haven’t got a card ready get to show you).

The papers are from Nitwits Collections, and the image is of course from Lili of the ValleyChristmas Eve Boy, coloured with Copics .

I used Craft Paper to cut  Doo Hickey Blooming Tag tucked behind the image and added a bow made with Ribbon and Twine from the Ribbon Girl.

Centura Pearl Card was used for the Die Cut Reindeer, I used my new E-Bosser to cut the dies, I am in love with this machine it cuts perfectly and no aching arms from tedious winding of the handle, just put it in the machine and 18 seconds latter it pops out fab.

Copics Used:

I actually threw away the list of colours but I think I can remember most of the  markers I Used:

Bed: E74, E71, E70, E40 dark brown Polychromos Pencil

Hat: B32, B21, B41

Stocking: RV69, R39 – Black Polychromos Pencil

Teddies: E53, E51. E50 – Tan Pencil

Bunny – C3, C1, C00 – Pale Grey Pencil

Bed Linen: E40

I will be back later today with another card and a little Magnolia Candy so don’t forget to pop back

A Couple of new Projects

Hi Peeps, today I have a couple of projects I have been working on since I came back from the Crafters Companion  Craftaganza at the weekend.  The first is a take on a card design from Sara’s Saturday class, we actually made an A4 card in the class but as soon as I saw it I was sure it could be resized to 6x6, so after faffing about here it is:

Now I know you are thinking what's so special about that but be patient there is a little surprise there for you,   The Papers are by Maja Designs I think they were last years so not sure if you can still get them.   The sweet Tilda from this years Christmas Collection has been coloured with Copics.

I have made an edge around the side of the card with a Martha Stewart Punch, and used another punch for the Snowflake which I them embossed with Frant-age Ivory Aged Embossing Enamel , the Poinsettia was made with Spellbinders Poinsettia Die, which was distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and has Gold Crushed Glass Glitter add to the middle, all available from J & C Creations.

Ribbons, Gold Twine and Small Berries are all from The Ribbon Girl, The large round sentiment is another Magnolia Stamp, the little tag is by Lili of the Valley, The Tag is a Doo Hickey Die

Now for the surprise.

I am not sure what you would call this type of card, so I am going to name it he Magic Shutter Card the snowflake in the centre is a Magnolia Stamp which has been glittered with Crystal Glamour Dust and I have add a self adhesive Gem to the centre of the card, this is the card open, I wish you could see it in real life as I cannot take a photo of the inside with the Shutter Closed.

And this is it half open, when you first open it up the shutters are completely closed no sign of the Magnolia Snowflake.  I loved making this card.

Now for the next project, this month on the J & C Creations Designs to Inspire Blog we have been showcasing Spellbinders Dies and for the final we are all making something a little bit different, I had some fabby Crackers from Which Craft which I thought I would decorate.  Full details of Dies used etc will be on the J & C Creations Designs to Inspire Blog at about midday, got to upload it first Smile

Thanks for looking, have a great crafty day

A Study in Red and White

Morning all, slowly getting back into the crafting mode, today we see a new challenge on Papertake Weekly Challenge, and Dawny P has created a fabulous sketch for us to follow, we are sponsored this week by the lovely girls at Simon Says Stamp.

Nice plain and simple card from me today with a very limited palette, but I am really pleased with it.  Dawny’s lovely sketch gave me a chance to use some of those little scraps I save from my backing papers (cannot bear to throw even the smallest pieces away), these are all papers by Magnolia.

The lovely lace edge is cut from white card with Doo Hickey Christmas Lace Border Die, The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

The image has been coloured with Copis on Neenah Classic Crest Card.  Once again I have coloured white pearls with a matching copic .

Copics used:

Flesh: E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R00

Hair: YR13, E13, E50

Reds: R37, R27, R24, R22

Thanks for looking, I am off to make a couple of Shamballa Bracelets, I got the bug at the Craftaganza.

Countdown to Christmas

Hello my lovelies, back after a fantastic time at this years Crafters Companion Craftaganza, Great to catch up with some old friends and to make lots of new ones.   Some brilliant projects made, including beading, will show them over the week.

Today I am showing an Advent Calendar I made before I went away, there are 24 little drawers, into which I added 2 sweets one for Mum and one for James, but whilst I was away Mum found the sweets so now I will have to fill them up again.

The papers are from K&Co Pad from Charmed cards and  Crafts, the Die Cuts are also from the same Elizabeth Brownd Collection

Lots of little bits from my stash have been used to decorate the panels

This is how I decorated the Top of the box

The view from the other side

Sorry this is so quick have to get back to clearing up and starting this weeks card, and preparing for my Colouring Class at Oyster Stamps on Saturday.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Afternoon peeps, a bit late with this one, had no sleep last night so tried to catch some shut eye this morning.  Today sees a new challenge on Papertake Weekly Challenge, we are sponsored  by the lovely Andrea and Mary from The Ribbon Girl, so we have a theme with that in mind – Ribbons & Pearls.

Can you see a pattern emerging this week, Mo’s Fabulous images have got me under their spell, I only went over to buy 1 and ended up with 6.  Todays image is called Victoria Carolling.  I loved colouring her, I used Copics and Polychromos Pencils.

The beautiful papers are from a K&Co Christmas Pad- Elizabeth Bownd – every sheet is delicious.  I cut out the bell tucked under the Gold Mesh Ribbon from a sheet of the paper and added some Gold Glamour Dust around the edge of the bell.

The Poinsettia was cut with the Doo Hickey Poinsettia Die, I added Gold Glitter Glass from J & C Creations to the middle of the flower and on the top edge of the card.   The Gold Mess Ribbon and Pearls are from The Ribbon Girl.

Copics used:

Flesh: E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R00, Hair E71, E40, Greens: G94, G46, YG63, Reds: R37, R27, R24, R02, Beiges E43, E41,

Morning and a Happy Sunday, well my shopping experience in Canterbury was a real waste of time, plenty of Ties, Socks and Wallets etc for the men and Perfume for the girls, but nothing unusual that made me want to open my purse, I think it will have to be Internet shopping from now on.  I wish they were all crafters I would have no problem finding them something then.

With all the stunning Christmas Magnolias that were released this year, my good old favourites have taken second place and been widely ignored, I thought it was a time that I put that right.   Cannot remember what this little sweetie is called but love her, the heart bauble stamp is also by Magnolia and I think is a few years old.

More Christmas Collection papers from Magnolia have been used, the fancy bauble die is one I bought last year and forgot about it is by Memory Box  there is also a plain base bauble that can be used underneath.  I have completely covered the bauble with a Quickie Glue Pen and Crystal Glamour Dust.

I have tucked a Doo Hickey Label behind the image and added some scrummy Silver Lame Ribbon from The Ribbon Girl Behind.  I didn’t have any Red Pearls so coloured white ones with R37 Copic.

Not Many colours used on here:

Reds: R37, R27, R24, R22, G94, E71, E43, E42, E40, E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R00.

I am entering this card for the following Challenges:

Winter Wonderland Challenge  - Oh Baubles

Tildas Town Challenge – Anything Goes

Enjoy your Sunday

Winter Fairy

Hi Peeps in a rush today, reading posts by fellow bloggers has made me realise how far behind I am in my Christmas Preparations,  have ordered food and made some cards, but as far as Christmas Presents go I have bought precisely one.   So off to Canterbury this morning to remedy this.  I am looking for a really unusual present for the boys and their partners, I have thought about a couple of “Grow Your Own Exotic Mushrooms” for one of them, but am really stuck for the others any ideas?

I bought this delicious Winter Fairy Talva from Mo’s Digital Pencil a couple of weeks ago and had not found time to use her, I loved colouring her so much I am sure she will be used a lot more in the future.  I have coloured her with Copics and Polychromos Pencils.  The Backing papers are Magnolia Christmas Collection.

The flowers and bell used are from The Ribbon Girl, I have added a few dots of Opal Liquid Pearls around the image.  The Cheesecloth and beautiful distressed Seam Binding are from Live and Love Crafts.

Once again lots of Die’s used, Doo Hickey Snowflake, Tag, Twisted Swirl all from Bunny Zoe’s Crafts, Plus Cheery Lynn English Tea Party Doily Die has been popped behind the image.

Copics Used:

Flesh: E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R00, Hair: E74, E43, E40, Boots E74, E43, Pinks: RV66, RV52, RV10, RV0000, BV01, BV00, BV000
