The Backing papers are Bear Boys Too Paper Collection from Nitwits, The Image from Lili of the Valley is called Little Lorry Bear, he was stamped on to Neenah Classic Crest Card and Spectrum Noirs both from Crafters Companions and outlined for depth with Polychromos Pencils.

Your Fabulous!!

Morning Peeps, well I am all packed, taxi booked for 11am, checked I have got my tickets and of course the Passport, wouldn’t do to leave without that would it. Going up to Newcastle by Train today, I will meet up with Sarah Millsop and Leann and we will fly from there, the flight is at 6am so its a really early morning for us, think I will set the alarm for 3am. I cannot wait to see my Brother and his family hopefully have a couple of days with them then its work for 4 days, I will be demoing Spectrum Noirs on the Crafters Companion Stand, cannot believe how lucky I am and so proud that Sara and Leann have given me this opportunity, Thank both of you so much MWAHXXXXXX. I will take lots of pictures and let you know what is in store for us later this year, I really want to see those Tim Holtzs Distress Ink Markers!!!!!

I saw a delicious card made with this sweet Mo Manning Design Ragged Romeo on my lovely, talented teamie Mina’s blog (I see she has now used this image as her blog header please go and check) and knew I just had to have it, I must stop visiting her blog I always spend money after going over there.

I coloured the image up about a week ago but have just not had time to post it until now, so sorry I forgot to make a note of the Copics I used.

Once again I have made one of my favourite Doo Hickey Peony's and made a swirl rose to go in the middle. The special Day sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

I have scheduled my Dt card for the new Lilis Little Fairies Challenge tomorrow, but have not had time to do any more cards, but will try to post CHA Pictures on here during the next week.

Bright & Cheerful

Morning, I want to share another of the lovely Saturated Canary Digi Images with you today, this little Ragamuffin Girl image is Called Hand Me Down and she just called to be coloured in really bright colours, wow what a change for me but I loved doing it.

These Basic Grey papers were exactly the right match for the colours it is from the Piccadilly Pad available from Dies to Die for . The Coral Eyelet Trim Lace is also from Dies to Die for, isn’t it fabulous I just love the colour, this bit of lace was the start of the whole card. The Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Red and Green Card is rom the Co-Ordinations Card range.

I have printed and coloured the image on Neenah Classic Crest Card and Spectrum Noirs.

The Spectrum Colours Used are:

Green: (Sleeves) – CG4, CG3, CG1 Socks: LG5 LG1

Reds: CR11, CR10, OR2, OR1

Blues: TB4 TB3, TB2

The Final Episode

Morning Peeps, well finally its time for the Final Episode of the Princess crown Affair. I am quite sad to have finished this project but have another one in the pipeline. It seems quite cold here this morning and I have had a bit of a battle with Mum to get her up, I know it it wouldn’t do any harm to leave her in bed, in fact I would like to be tucked up in mine at the moment, but that can be the start of a slippery slope.

On this page I have used Lili of the Valley stamp Brithday Fairy she has been coloured with copics here is the link to the colours used, I have used the same pens for every image. The decorative elements all come as part of the kit.

The next page features the final image in the album, this is Its My Party.

This is the final page and here I have used lots of the elements in the pack.

And here is the finished Album, I must admit I am really pleased with it and its going to be hard to give it away

Happy Sunday to you all, hope you have managed a little lie in this morning. Yesterday I got down to playing with some new rubba and my Spectrum Noirs, I managed to ink up quite a bit of rubba and today intend to colour and make them into cards .

let me introduce you to Chillax one of the newest Country Cousins collection from Sugar Nellie, what a fabulous card for a teenager she would make. She has been stamped on to Neenah Classic Crest Card with Memento Ink and coloured with Spectrum Noirs and Polychromos Pencils (Colours below).

The papers are from Maja Designs Old Fashion Christmas Collection, The doily (which I have chopped the top off of in this picture) is cut with Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily Die both available from Dies to Die For.

The Rose and Foliage is another die cut this one using the Tim Holts Alteration Die Grunge Pine Cone from Co-Ordinations card.

I have used a Stempleglede Swirl in the corner of the image to add a bit of interest as it seemed to be a lot of empty white space. The Spectrum Noirs used to colour the Image are:

Flesh: TN3, FS9, TN1 CR2 (Medium Flesh Pencil)

Hair: TN8, TN7, TN5, TN4, TN2, TN1 (Burnt Sienna Pencil)

Greens: DG4, DG2 ( Black Pencil)

Beige: EB2, EB1 ( Nougat Pencil)

Sweet Saturday

Quick one today I am afraid, the final pages of the Princess Crown have been put on hold for the last couple of days but I hope the final episode will be shown on Monday. Today I have a card I made earlier in the week for the 1st Sweet Sugar Facebook Challenge which was a lovely colour challenge Green & Blue & White. The 2nd Challenge will be posted on the Sugar Nellie Page on Facebook this Sunday.

I never think of putting Green and Blue together bit I love how this card has turned out so I will definitely be using the combo again. I have used this Sweet image from the new release from Sugar Nellie it is called The Best Day Ever, I was not going to buy any new stamps this year until I had used at least half of the new rubba sitting in my craft room, but being nosey I had to pop over to Funky Kits to check out this new release and somehow 4 or 5 stamps fell in my basket, well it has to be done doesn't it.

I have used Copics and Neenah Classic Crest Card to stamp and colour the image, the Copis used are:

Windmills in My Head

Hi, I have managed to get a card made for this weeks Just Magnolia and Hanglar & stHanglar Challenge and what a great challenge it is this week we are hosted by the fabulous Iulia, who has chosen Windows and Doors for her Challenge.

I had to search through all my old Magnolias to find the Windmill Stamp, its amazing how after 4 years collecting how many Magnolias I have and I still love them all. I am really impressed with the new Sweet Crazy Love collection and this little darling is called Rose Scent Tilda , I have coloured both images with Copics.

The fence is cut with the Doo Hickey Lovely Fence Die from Cream Co-ordinations Card which has been distressed around the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink, the Little Butterflies on the fence are cut from a small scrap of Pion Paper.

I have used Pion Papers, and some more of The Ribbon Girls fabulous Fine Cluny Lace. The Papers, Dies, Tilda are all available from Dies to Die For

Lilis Little Fairies–Challenge 3 and some Humphrey Love.

Morning all, hope you are all well I am now getting rather excited about my trip to the US, this time next week I should be up in the air winging my way to California. As well as going to the CHA I will be visiting my Brother & Sister in Law and my 2 handsome Nephews who live in Irvine which is about 22 km away from Anaheim, it will be the first time I have ever been over to see them, my tummy turns over just thinking about it.

Its the 3rd week of the Lilis Little Fairies Challenge and this week we have a fabulous theme for you LAVENDER AND LACE, cannot believe how many of you have supported us since we started thank you all so much.

I have used Lili of the Valley stamp Hello Cup Cake for my DT card, whilst I was colouring the image I was getting really frustrated as I couldn’t get my Copics to blend as normal, thought it might have been the damp atmosphere but once I cut the image out I realised a piece of plain card had got mixed up with my Neenah card, but being a last minute crafter I didn’t have time to re-colour the image, I will check more carefully next time.

Both the backing papers are by Magnolia I have distressed the edges with my Tim Holtzs Distressing Tool and then daubed Adirondack Snowcap Paint Dabber over the paper and metal corners. Not sure where I got the Watch Charm from I am sure it was at the NEC in the Autumn. I have made the bow using Fine Cream Vintage Cluny Lace, from The Ribbon Girl

Episode 3 and a Bit of Love

Morning Peeps, a bit earlier this morning, Rosie decided that 6 0’clock was quite late enough for me to lie in so decided to wake me by licking my nose, Oh the joys of being a cat owner.

Have to go to Canterbury today, I really hate shopping its such a chore, but I need some Black Trousers and a couple of tops and I also need to go to the Post Office. Thankfully Lin is picking me up so no need to queue for bus, BTW my Passport has arrived so that's a big relief, that was not such a random comment as it seems, when I had my photo taken for the passport there were 3 left over so after 5 years I am going to apply for my Senior Citizen Bus Pass, kept putting it off, but it will really save me loads, especially when my Chauffeur (Lin) is unable to take me, going to buy her a nice Green uniform and Peaked cap for her birthday so she looks the part lol.

Today its part 3 of the Princess Crown Affair, I am so enjoying making this album something completely different for me, todays page features Dandelion Clock from Lili of the Valley. She has again been coloured with Copics.

On this page I have used one of Lili of the Valley’s Happy Sentiments and one of the most useful stamp sheets I have in my collection their clear Ribbon & Bows Collection.

Now another card made from The Crafters Companion Valentines collection to be aired on Create and Craft on Friday, this is one of the 3 SWALK stamps in the collection and the Papers are from one of the 2 CDS also included in the deal. The sentiment is also from the CD. I have used the Heart to Heart Multi Die from Dies to Die for to make the base card and the filigree heart. The flowers are all from The Ribbon Girl.

A Valentines Sneak and the next episode of the Princess Crown Affair

Happy Tuesday, hope you have a cup of coffee to hand ‘cos this is a bit of a long one.

This Friday on Create and Craft Sara from Crafters Companion will be bringing us a Special Valentines Day Offer - she has put together 2 kits from existing product lines – each containing 2 CD’s and 3 stamp sets, they are from the SWALK and Humphrey range and have previously been on sale as single stamps. Keep your eyes open on Facebook and The Crafters Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog for news of a fabulous competition.

Here is a card made with the papers from the Humphrey CD and one of the Stamps from the Valentines collection this Stamp is Best Friends. I have once again made my Favourite Doo Hickey Peony Die and Swirl Die.

I stamped Best Friends onto Neenah Classic Crest Card with Memento Ink and coloured with Spectrum Noirs here are the Speccie colours used:

Now for the fourth page

I have made a little envelope tied with lovely spotted organza ribbon, and have used a Dream Street Rub On on the Scalloped circle used to close the envelope

Another Rub On has been used to add a little message on the inside of the envelope.

An ongoing project

A bit late this morning so better say Afternoon Peeps!!!! instead of Good Morning, as I spoke about the other day I have really had a clear out of my Craft Room, whilst rifling through a box of odds and ends I came across a fantastic Princess Crown Album Kit I bought from The Hobby House at one of the shows last year. It was just what I needed to get my teeth into and I am making it my project for this week.

The Album has 10 pages altogether so will take a bit of time to complete, so far I have painted and matted the pages with Dream Street Papers and add stickles to the edges. I am going to use Lili of the Valley images throughout, I will post updates of the pages as they are complete, Ooh!! my very own serial (East Enders watch out).

So to start, I have used Never to Old for a Hug stamp and coloured with Copics and Pencils, I will keep to the same colour scheme for each image and the copics used are at the end of the post.

The reverse side of the Cover has been made with elements that were included in the Hobby House Kit.

and the facing page (no photo yet) will have another Lili of the Valley image which I have yet to colour on it.

Ribbon Girl Challenge

Happy Sunday all Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! winter is here at last its cold up here. Well I finished the Craft Room yesterday and it looks pristine, wonder how long that will last, I wouldn’t take a bet that it will be back to its chaotic state by midday.

Today its the start of a new Ribbon Girl Challenge and our theme has been chosen by our lovely Guest Designer Lorriane

The challenge for January is to create a new project (please no backlinking) using the colours of pink and blue and we have two fabulous prizes for one randomly drawn winner.

The lovely girls at Lili Of The Valley are offering a £10 voucher to spend in the LOTV online store ...

What with everything that has gone on his week I was a bit late sending over my card to Mary and Andrea, I didn’t finish it until yesterday evening but there was an upside to that, it allowed me to use once of my fabulous new Sugar Nellie Images that arrived at Lunch time Yesterday, I am supposed to be on a self imposed diet until the end of January but after seeing these little cuties I just had to have one or two or three or four you know how it goes.

This sweetie is called Birthday Princess, I have used Neenah Neenah Classic Crest Card & Copics (colours below) to stamp and colour the image, the Butterfly Backing Paper is by Magnolia, and the LUSH 38mm Pink Silver Striped Organza Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl

The two tone Blossom, 30mm Pink tone Rose, and tiny Rosebuds are from The Ribbon Girl

The Silver Droplet Charm and

25mm Fine Cluny Lace, Blue Seam Binding are all from The Ribbon Girl as well

Morning Peeps, once again I am stunned by how kind you all are, such lovely messages of support of my decision to stand down from LOTV, but as I said yesterday they will always be in my heart and just to prove it on todays card I have used a Lili of the Valley stamp.

Yesterday, I decided to really sort out my craft room, and I do mean sort out, I decided to be ruthless and throw away embellishments that I have had for 4 or 5 years and not used for ages, passed onto to Lin over 100 stamps and lots of papers I have not used stamped up for years, but at 1.30am this morning I had to give in and go to bed, leaving the room in a worst state than it was before I started.

Thank goodness I had this card already made, I have used Lili of the Valley Times to Treasure stamp, the base card was cut with Go Kreate Dies Large Frilly Square Die, The papers are Pion Designs, the doily popped behind the image was cut with Cheery Lynn English Tea Party Doily Die, both available from Dies to Die For.

The large Peony was made from the same Pion Design papers using Doo Hickey Peony petals Die, and the inside was a rose made with a swirl I tore myself, I have used Gold Stickles on the edges and stuck a little pearl in the middle.

Forgot to make a note of the Copics so sorry.

A hard Decision

Hi all, I have made a really hard decision today, I have stepped down from Lili of the Valley, most of you will know how hard this decision has been to make, I have been with Lili of the Valley for a long time and I absolutely love their images, as I know you all do, and Lisa and Laila have been like family to me. I have made so many friends through working for them especially all you lovely people who visit the stands at the exhibitions your kind words when you have visited will always be with me and I will treasure them. But I feel as if I have neglected very important things by getting so tied up in crafting, like family and non crafting friends and recent personal experiences have made me realise just how remiss I have been as a Mum.

I will of course still be posting lots of cards using my beloved images and be the first in line to buy the new releases, and I will still continue to run Lilis Little Fairies Challenge, couldn’t let all you LOTV lovers down now could I

Anyway I am not really in the mood to make or post a card but I will defo be posting one tomorrow.

Lastly I would like to thank Lisa and Laila for all they have done for me and for allowing me to be the first to play with their fantastic products, I have enjoyed every minute of it.

An eventful day

Morning Peeps, sorry for my lack of post yesterday (my resolution broken within 10 days not good), as you all know I only have one brain cell which gets me into deep doo-doo sometimes, well I have actually excelled myself, I forgot to re-new my Passport, which I will require at the end of the month. To ensure I got the Passport back in time for my trip, I had to go to the Passport Office in London to fast track it, and take with me Old Passport, New Photos and completed form, now unbelievably I managed to gather everything I needed and even reach Global House, Victoria without any mishaps, just one tiny problem my Photos were not good enough, although they had previously been checked at The Post Office, I had a tiny strand of hair over the very corner of my eyelid, so had to have another photo taken, they have a photo booth in the Passport Office, but you have to use 5 £1 coins or a £5 note neither of which I had, to make it worse if you left the Passport Office to get change you had to make a new appointment which would not be for the same day !!!!!!!!!!!, can you imagine me running around asking all these poor people if they had coins or £5 note in exchange for a £10 note I got so desperate that I even said if they only had £5 they could keep the change. A lovely security guard came to my rescue so I then went to the booth to get my photo taken, there was a long queue, obviously I was not the only one who's photo didn’t fit, after queuing for about 15 minutes I got in to the booth sat down and composed my face, No Smile, Look Forward, Hair out of Eyes you know the drill, you get a face map as to where your eyes must be, would you believe the seat was too low and I couldn’t get my eyes to reach the correct height, the up and down bar on the seat was not working, so I ended up sitting on my handbag and Coat. After about an hour I finally completed my application and my Passport should be with me in 7 days.

The rest of the day went really well, I had taken my No 3 son James with me to London for company as we were walking down Victoria Street we saw the funniest thing I have seen in ages, a drunken tramp had found a 6ft Christmas Tree from somewhere and had decided to wear it!! his head was right in the middle of the tree, all you could see was a Christmas tree with legs. he obviously couldn’t see and was walking into bollards, walls and traffic lights, you never see people smile in London they are always rushing to get somewhere but this had people smiling and laughing out loud, James took a video which he will be putting on U Tube and a couple of stills I will add one on here as soon as he sends it to me, you really have to see it to appreciate how funny it was. We ended up meeting my No 1 son Matthew from his work at Canary Wharf and went to Carluccis for a fab Italian meal, my suggestion of going Ice Skating on the Canary Wharf Ice rink went down like a lead balloon.

After all this I did not have time to make a card yesterday so I am going to post some more of my DT cards for the new Crafters Companion Strawberry Kisses Stamps and CD Release:

These have all been coloured on Neenah Classic Card with Spectrum Noirs, (sorry I sent the colours off with the cards and forgot to make a note), the papers and sentiments are all from the CD.

Morning all, woke up this morning and discovered what a simply lovely place blog land is and what wonderful caring people you all are Thank You from the very bottom of my heart.

I have a couple of cards for you today both are from collections that have stolen my heart in the last couple of weeks, The first is another of the uber scrumptious Saturated Canary digi images this one is called Neveah, I need that dress.

Neveah has been printed and coloured onto Neenah Card and coloured with Copics (nos below). The delicious papers are from the new Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love collection. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the gorgeous Lace is from The Ribbon Girl.

My Next card is from the Brand new Crafters Companion Strawberry Kisses range that is currently running as Pick of the Week on Create and Craft, I know I am lucky enough to work for Crafters Companion but I can say hand on heart that I love this new range, these stamps are just so versatile, and they work for experienced stampers and also for those new to stamping, I have enjoyed making every single card.

The papers and flowers on here are from the Strawberry Kisses CD, the card base and image mat were all cut with Go Kreate Dies. The image was stamped onto Neenah Classic Card and Spectrum Noir markers both available from Crafters Companion.

Lavender & Lace

Morning all, the beginning of another week, I think this year is going to go as fast as 2011, a week in and I am still keeping to 2 of my resolutions, to post everyday and to use stamps and images as I buy them instead of putting them away and forgetting them. One of my new finds is the Fantastic Saturated Canary images, I had seen them around before Christmas and knew I must have some of the images, but I was so busy at the time, that it wasn’t until the beginning of this week that I actually managed to buy some, I am so glad I did they are just delicious and so easy to colour, I have already coloured up 4 of the images but have not actually made them all into cards yet.

This delightful little one is called “Thank You” she was printed onto to Neenah Classic Card coloured with Copics then carefully cut out and attached to a white and cream mat cut with Go-Kreate Ornament Frame No 7.

The backing papers are Pion designs Studio of Memories, I have used Ocean of Roses, Borders and the little tag behind the image is from the Collage Sheet, these papers are expensive but worth every penny I just adore them all. You can find a selection of Pion papers at Dies to Die for.

The Lace border and base of top flower is made from Cream Fan Cluny Lace from The Ribbon Girl, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft and the Swirl is a Doo Hickey Die from Crafts U Love.

Bags of Love

Hi peeps what a good girl I have been this week a post everyday, think my Mojo has had a good break and is now fully restored, I am actually enjoying making cards again. I have also decided to enter more Challenges this year and to be a better blogger and to try commenting rather than just visiting blogs. My something New on this little Valentine Bag is the sweet new Tilda - Wrapped Heart stamp and the 2 Sweet Crazy Love Papers from Magnolia – Cloudy Purple Hearts and Vintage Plum. Tilda was stamped on to Neenah Card.

The Hearts, which have all been edged with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, are all cut with the Heart to Heart Multi Die available from Dies to Die For.

The Romantic Lace Border, Doily Flower, Swirl & Vintage Tag are all Doo Hickey Dies.

A Little Bit of Love

My something new is this fabulous Tilda from the new release, The heart and Roses Stamps are also by Magnolia and are at least 2 years old. All the images were stamped on Neenah Card and coloured with Copics, the backing paper is from the lastest Magnolia release.

The Tilda image called Rose Scent, the Magnolia Paris Pink Peony Backing Paper and Nennah Card are all from Dies to Die For.

I have also used the Die-Namics Decorative Doily also from Dies to Die for to pop behind the image.

The 1st Lilis Little Fairy Challenge

Heres some good news for all you Lili of the Valley Lovers, today sees the start of the Brand New Lilis Little Fairies Challenge Blog, we have a simply awesome talented Design Team and some very generous sponsors so I do hope you can come and join us.

Our First Challenge is “New Beginnings” so I have made a First Day at School card using Lili of the Valley Back to School (girl) stamp.

I stamped the image onto Neenah Classic Card for a Change I used Memento London Fog Ink Pad to give a softer look to the image, and used Copics and Polychromos pencils to colour. The papers are Craft Creations from Crafts U Love . The fabulous sparkly ribbon is 38 mm Silver Glitter Mesh is available from The Ribbon Girl, I have used Pink Co-ordinations card to frame the image and to cut the label. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The Large rose was made using Spotty Craft Creations Paper and Doo Hickey Peony Die,

2 Little Cuties for You

Morning lovely peeps, today I have a couple more Sneak Peeks from The Crafters Companion “Strawberry Kisses” Release, these 12 delicious stamps and an accompanying CD will be released as Pick of the Week on Create and Craft this Friday.

I would die for a pair of shoes like these.

The base is a 6x6 easel card made with Acetate, the papers and sent8iment are from the CD, the large Swirl was cut with Tim Holtzs Elegant Flourish die from Crafts U Love. The Image was stamped on to Neenah Classic Crest Card and coloured with Spectrum Noits, after colouring I cut out the image with Spellbinders Fleur de Lys Rectangle Die, then I have used a Glue Pen and Gold Glamour Dust around the edges.

The Spectrum Noirs Used are:

Shoe Top DR4, CR11, CR13, CR7

Heels: IG1, IG2, Tn1, TN2

Cat: PP1, PP2, Pl1, LV1

Again the papers for this card are from the Strawberry Kisses CD, The Roses are made by tearing a small spiral from Red Co-Ordinations Card, and the Swirl is from the same die as above.

The Double Concertina Step card is a blank from a pack of 6 available from Which Crafts .

Morning all, what has happened to the weather it is blowing a gale and pouring with rain here in the UK, a perfect day to return to work. All those of you driving do take care. Today I am sharing a card I made for an article in this months Papercraft Essentials Magazine using Lili of the Valleys Mice are Nice stamps.

I have used “Champagne Fountain” from the Mice are Nice release for this one. It has been coloured with Copics and Polychromos Pencils. To give more interest to the card I have used a Go-Kreate Half XXl Frilly 2 Square die to create the back plate on the step card .

The papers are from Nitwits Collections “Butterfly Kisses”, love this collection full of lovely Pinks and Greens. The sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley, the flowers and Seam Binding are available from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Sneak Peek–Strawberry Kisses

Wow its so long since I posted on here, I almost forgot how to do it. I nearly had a heart attack this morning when I received an e-mail from the Lovely Margaret saying my blog had disappeared, when I tried to get on here myself I found the blog had been closed, it appears there had been some illegal activity on here and I had to go through a number of steps to get the blog back, but thanks to Margaret I am here now.

Well peeps I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and are now getting ready for New Year Celebrations, we had a very quite Christmas here but hope to make up for it this weekend when I join in the celebrations at my sons.

Today I have a couple of Sneak Peeks from a new stamp and CD range from Crafters Companion due for release on Create and Craft on the 6th January, there are 12 brilliant stamps in this range called “Strawberry Kisses”, this is a really versatile range and covers male and female, young and old and lots of occasions, so I think they will be a must have for lots of you.

I have coloured this Image with Spectrum Noirs (colours below) on Neenah Classic Card , the Papers are from the accompanying CD, lots of useful Plaids, Spots and Stripes on this CD.

Evening what a busy day, sorry I am so late with this post, its going to have to be a quick one as I am waiting to watch Strictly, I think all 3 of them deserve to win although I think my heart says Chelsie but my brain says Harry. Almost there

Morning peeps, well with this card I am almost at the end of my Christmas Card Making, what a marathon it has been, I am afraid I still had to resort to bought Christmas cards for some friends (not cardmakers I assure you).

Another stamp I have made had time to colour is Sugar Nellies I Grant You a Wish from Funky Kits, isn’t she gorgeous, the new Nitwits Collections Woodland Wishes was the perfect partner for the colours I used to colour the fairy, and I tried to carry that through to the floral embellies.

I used lots of elements from the Sizzix Tim Holtzs Alterations Festive Greenery Die and Grunge Pine Cone die, and Doo Hickey Wild Starwberry Die all from Crafts U Love to compose this border. I also used the Pine Cone Die to make the rose.

Nativity

Morning Peeps, Ohhhh its really cold this morning turned the heating right up. Off to watch Grandsons Nativity Play this evening so thought I would show you the card I have made for him to celebrate his acting debut.

I thought I would make this into a Label Card, I have coloured one of last years Lili of the Valley Christmas Releases “Mary and Joseph”, I have also popped an image from the Grunge Christmas Postmarks A5 sheet also from Lili of the Valley. Maja papers from Dies to Die for , and the Magnolia Silent Night Stamp have also been used. I have searched everywhere for my Lili of the Valley Music Stamp and cannot find it, so a more through search is needed tomorrow.

Penny Black Christmas

Hi Peeps, hope you all had a good weekend. I am off to Crafts U Love for the final colouring course of the year tomorrow so will be busy today getting ready. I now have only 2 presents to buy and then my Christmas Shopping is finished, I have also finished all the commissions so am looking forward to 2 weeks of making cards with some of the stamps I have bought over the year and not had time to play with.

It has been an age since I have used a Penny Black stamp, but this image was just perfect for a friend who adores cats, of course it doesn't need saying that it has been coloured with Copics. I have used 5 Doo Hickey Dies on here, didn't realise just how many until I came to list them here, they are Mini Doily Die, Wild Strawberry Leaf, Vintage Flowers & Leaf, Romantic Lace Border and Bon Voyage Foliage, Plus Marianne Designs English Rose Flower Die, the papers are from Magnolia Christmas release, all the products are available from Crafts U Love .

Surprise Tilda

Morning, just a quick one today again!!!, I am going to put up the tree and decorations at some stage today, was going to do it yesterday but had my handsome Grandson Robert stay with me yesterday, we had a lovely day together, its not often I get him to myself.

This Surprise Tilda image is so versatile great for Birthdays & Christmas, I have coloured her with my beloved Copics. The delish papers are from the Christmas Magnolia Papers Collection, I have tucked the Tim Holtzs Snowflake Border from Sizzex behind the image. The Paper, Image and Die are all from Crafts U Love. I Have stamped the Lili of the Valley Grunge Postcard Stamp and popped it behind the image.

I made the Crystal Snowflake using the Beaders Companion Christmas Decoration Packs which I am pleased to say is on offer at half price on the Beaders Companion Website, there is enough to make 12 snowflakes in the pack and all for under £7 they are so easy to make and the rest of mine are going to be hung at different lengths in the Window.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Morning Peeps, I am finding it really hard to write this post after 4 years this week sees the last Lili of the Valley Challenge , I cannot believe how much the Challenge and Lili of the Valley itself has blossomed in this time, but we are thrilled to tell you that Bev and Myself are going to continue running it as “Lili’s Little Fairies” from January!! There are some new faces on the DT to mix in with the old so lots of exciting things happening soon! The blog address will stay the same to avoid confusion, and we will still be a solely Lili of the Valley images challenge, we just couldn’t leave you without a showcase for your fantastic Lili of the Valley creations could we. before I go any further can I thank each and everyone of you who have supported us every week I have made some fantastic friends through the blog and hope you will still continue to support the new Challenge. I also need to say a very big thank you to the Design Team most of whom have been with us since the early days, lots of them will be staying with the new Challenge and the rest will be joining Bev and Myself on the Lili of the Valley Ideas to Inspire Blog Design Team.

Our Challenge this week is PINK WHITE AND SILVER ohhhhh lovely just the colours I love. This card is remarkably similar to the original card I made with Moonlight Wishes, but the image just calls for a soft approach.

A Little Christmas Candy

I have a ’cracker’ of a give away. The lovely Paula from Which Craft UK sent me a package and in there were 7 packs of Paula’s Crackers. One for me to play with and 6 packs to give away!!

These are a fantastic for Christmas and the rest of the year, so easy to decorate and just perfect for that little gift.

Something a little different

Morning Peeps, blimey its blooming cold here this morning, I am so pleased I have not got to go out today. I am watching Breakfast TV as I am writing this and have just seen the Turner Prize Winner, is it just me or are they just taking the Michael, A Room with a Table in, a rubbish Bin and Paper Leaves on the floor, the artist said that even the ventilation brick was part of the art installation, WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!. Think I will enter my Craft Room next year its much more interesting. What do they take us for!!!!!

Well rant over. Here are a couple of cards I have made from the Flowersoft Mabel Lucie Attwell CD ROM and Paperkits that are to be released on Create & Craft TV at 10 am this morning.

I have used Copics to colour this Digi Image from the CD, I have used a set of Go Kreate Dies for the base of the card and Paper and Sentiments from the CD.

This is an image from the Paperkit, ideal for a really quick card. The papers are Best Creations from Crafts U Love, I made the rosette with my Hugie Board.

This little Box was made with a blank card from “Paulas Crackers” set from Which Craft I have turned the bottom of the Cracker over to make a box. I love these shaped card blanks they are so useful. The Image is from The Decoupage Sheets from the new release.

Festive Fairy

Morning, got up this morning feeling as tired as I went to bed last night cannot believe there is another 15 hours at least before I can crawl back into my very comfy bed. I managed to crawl around in the loft and get the tree out yesterday but that is as far as I got it is now in the hall still in its box and thats where it is likely to stay until next weekend, I have so much work to do in the next 7 days why do commissions all come at once?

Because of the above I am afraid this is a very quick post, Lili of the Valley Festive Fairy has been coloured with Copics, more Maja Old fashioned Christmas paper has been used for the bottom layer with Magnolia Christmas Release paper from Crafts U Love for the top layer.

The flower and leaves are all cut from white paper which has been distressed around the edge and glittered are all Magnolia Dies. The little label is from Lili of the Valleys Grunge Christmas Postmarks sheet and has been stamped with Iced spruce Distress Ink and cut out, have used my favourite Gold Mesh Ribbon from The Ribbon Girl to finish.

Hello Little Robin

Morning again Peeps, 21 days to Christmas and I still have hardly anything bought or planned, the tree is still in the loft and my enthusiasm seems to have one gone on holiday, must try and get myself in gear this week.

I have another of the Wee Digis I found the other day this one is called “Winter Fairy” that friendly little Robin has quite stolen my heart. I have used Copics to colour the image as usual.

The papers are more of the lovely Maja designs Old Fashioned Christmas from Dies to Die for, I have used Tim Holtzs Alterations Sizzix Dies to cut The Swirl, Tattered Pine Cone, and Magnolis Doo Hickey Die to cut the Strawberry Leaf all available at Crafts U Love. The swirl was cut from white card which I distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, I used brown card for the pine cone, then added white paint to the edges of the cone and glittered up with stickles. The leaves and Pine Branch were cut from shades of Green Co-Ordinations Card and distressed with a Sand It Gadget Tool. I also distressed the White Seam Binding with Iced Spruce Distress Ink, and added a couple of bells and Berries to finish.

I am going to brave the spiders in the loft now and get the tree out.

Merry Christmas

Good Morning all, a bit late posting this morning have been waiting for my Waitrose Order. I have lots to do this weekend including getting my Passport Photo taken somewhere (defo not in Canterbury). Decided to make a start on family Christmas Cards this weekend, have not made any yet and I couldn’t stand the humiliation of having to send them bought cards

I bought lots of Wee Digis ages ago then forgot all about them, opened the folder by mistake yesterday and of course had to drop everything and make a card with one of the super cute images, this one is called “Christmas Bunny”.

The yummy paper is Magnolias Christmas Collection available at Crafts U Love., I bought 6 sheets of this design I loved it so much. I have tucked a “Bianca Snowflake” die, cut with a Memory Box Die and covered in Glamour Dust behind the image, and another Memory Box Die “Frosty Border” has been attached down the side of the card. Both these dies are available form Dies to Die for.

Results of a Busy Day

Happy Friday everyone, had a really lovely day with Lin yesterday a whole day spent in pleasant company and just crafting, I consider that perfect. Lin was really eager to learn what I had been doing at the Crafters Companion Craftaganza and was especially keen to make the Candle and Box we made in Leanns Class, and the Cute Christmas Tree designed by my little Princess Claire for her Saturday Class.

As it is Friday it is also time for Just Magnolia and Hanglar & stHanglar Challenge, this week it is the special monthly challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp with a generous $25 voucher, and hosted by my very good friend the lovely Donalda.

Can you believe just a charm and a few pearls as embellishments on this card, had to work hard and sit on my hands to stop myself adding more but I like the result. The papers are Maja design Old Fashioned Christmas and along with the Die-Namics Dainty Doily are available from Dies to Die For. The Christmas Release Tilda with Candy Cone, and the Magnolia Snowflakes are available from Crafts U Love. I have stamped The Snowflakes and sentiments with White Ink onto Kraft Paper, and used a Martha Stewart Die for the glittered border.

The Wreath on the candle was stamped with a selection of Tapestry Stamps from Card-io, I have added some flat backed gems to the wreath after heating. The Box has been created using Crafters Companion’s Ultimate Pro, I used two co-ordinating colours from the Rose Red Co-Ordinations Card pack, then run the lightest red through the Cuttlebug in a Darice Embossing Folder, then sanded it with a Sand It Gadget Tool, love the effect you get with the Co-ordinations.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Morning lovely peeps, well the shopping trip was a complete disaster fancy choosing Wednesday, its Market Day in Canterbury and the Kids were all off of school and seemed to have made a joint decision to spend the day in the City centre, I quickly lost all interest in shopping and made a quick exit. Why do people just stop in the middle of the pavement when its busy I must have bumped into at least 10 people just walking down the High Street. So it is Internet for me from now on and I will stay out of Canterbury until well into the New Year

Our theme this week on Lili of the Valley Challenge is ANYTHING BUT A CHRISTMAS CARD, so I have gone with one of our older stamps for this one, it is called Time for a Cuppa,

Not my usual colour scheme on this one, I feel in love with these Basic Grey Papers as soon as I received them from Tracy at Dies to Die For they are from the Picadilly Collection and this floral design was my favourite sheet. I have used the Tim Holtzs Weathered Clock Big Z die. I picked up the Watch Charm at the NEC but cannot remember which stall I got it from,

Lin is coming round this morning and we are going to have a Crafty Day together, hoping to show her lots of the great things I learnt at the Craftaganza.

Off to do my Christmas Shopping so a very quick one today, another sneak Peek from the Flowersoft Mabel Lucy Attwell CD rom due for release next week, I was bought up with these little cuties and can still remember a childs China Plate and Cup and Saucer I used until I was about 5 featuring one of Mable Lucy Attwells characters, so these really bought back lots of memories for me.

This is one of the Digi images from the CD which I have coloured with Crafters Companion Spectrum Noirs, The papers are both from the CD as is the sentiment.

As I said this is a quick one I have to wash my hair and put on my face and I only have 45 minutes until I have to be ready. Hope to be back later.

Tuesday Twosome

Morning peeps, as promised back again. two cards again for you today, I am being good aren’t I!!! I am trying to get as many cards done today as possible as with only 27 days left to Christmas I think it is time I made a start on my Christmas Shopping. I am going into Canterbury tomorrow we have a fabulous German Christmas Market there so hopefully I will be able to get some unusual pressies and decorations, BUT!!!!!! if its busy I will be straight back and do my shopping on the tinternet, cannot do with all that pushing an shoving.

Sorry the pictures a bit fuzzy, got shaky hands it’s just thinking about all the money I will be spending on presents and not crafty goodies, it really hurts

I got these beautiful Pion Papers from Dies to Die For, I love the vintage feel of them and tried to carry that feeling right through the card. I have coloured Tilda with Copics and Polychromos Pencils and have added a little Stickles “Stardust” to her hat and around the edge of the image.

The Roses and Branches are cut with Sizzix Tim Holtzs Alterations Die Tattered Pine Cone, the roses should be pine cones but I have squashed then down to make a rose, I cut the roses and branches from white card and Distressed the edges with Walnut stain Distress Ink and both sides of the rose with the same colour,

For the Blue Roses I again coloured white card with Iced Spruce Distress Ink then cut into 2 x 2 “ squares sketched a rough spiral on the inked square and roughly tore out the spiral and rolled into shape (thanks to Leann Chivers for this idea).

WoooHoo I have a new PC and I am now fit to Go!!!!!, not only have I been PC less, I have also been away for 5 days on my annual crafting holiday at Crafters Companion FANTASTIC Craftaganza, had the most amazing time with lots of old friends and even more new friends. Also had really fantastic workshops with

Sara Davies, Leann Chivers, Sheena Douglass, Sarah Millsop, Claire Hamer and Louisa McLean

I didn’t realise how many techniques there were still left to learn.

I have a couple of cards to show you today first of all an acetate Easel card using one of my favourite Lili of the Valley images, this one is Twinkling Star.

I am really pleased with how this a acetate card has turned out. The image has been coloured with Copics and has lots of Glamour Dust added, The two trees are stamped with a Magnolia stamp and Broken China Distress Ink. The papers are from the new release by Nitwits Collections called Holiday Charm all lovely Blues Whites Creams and pale Greens yummy!!!! I have also used the Doo Hickey Swirl available at Dies to Die For

The sentiment is from the Grunge Christmas Postmarks from Lili of the Valley

About Mabel Lucie Attwell

I am sure many crafters remember English artist Mabel Lucie Attwell who was a prolific illustrator, famous for her unique ability to reach adults through her drawings of children. Her illustrations appeared on advertisements, postcards, calendars, tins and books and, for many, her images became the back drop of their childhoods from the 30's, 40's and 50's. The humour of day to day situations can be seen in these nostalgic images of children which give them special appeal and guarantee to make you smile. Katy Sue Designs are releasing a New CD which includes fantastic Digi Images and also some papercrafting kits, the launch shows will be on Create and Craft on Dec 6th at 10am and 5pm. Sue has agreed for me to show you some sneaky peeks this week.

Here is the first one using a Digi image and papers from the CD. I have used Go Kreate Half XXL Circular Dies, the roses were hand made and distress with white paint. The Pretty Blossoms are from The Ribbon Girl. I have coloured the images with Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir Pens.

Ribbon Girl Challenge

Happy Sunday all, I will be home later today so I have scheduled this post, Today it is time for Novembers The Ribbon Girl Challenge, which this month has a theme that is really one that appeals to me “PINK and WHITE”.

This Years Christmas Collection from Magnolia is certainly one of the best I adore most of the images, after a couple of disappointing releases its nice to know Tilda is back to her best. Lots of lovely products from The Ribbon Girl used on this one including the delicious 25mm Pink/White open roses, 30mm Pink White open roses, 13mm white mulberry roses, crown pins and white seam binding. The awesome lacy snowflake is called Memory Box Bianca Snowflake, from Dies to Die For.

The little sentiment behind the floral arrangement is from Lili of the Valleys “Grunge Post Card Stamp”, and the leaf branch is a Doo Hickey Die from Crafts U Love, the delicious soft pink stripped paper is by Best Creations and is also available from Crafts U Love.

Twice as Nice

A Scheduled post for you today (Hopefully), one of the worst things about being without my PC was not being able to show more of the fabulous new Lili of the Valley Release, so to make up for it here is one of the cards I made for the stand at the NEC.

This delightful image is called “Twice as Nice” and comes complete with Sentiment. The papers are by Magnolia, lots of Doo Hickey Dies have been used here, the Border Die down the side is Swirly Lace Border Die, when the border was cut instead of throwing away the waste I thought I would use it on the bottom border (waste not want not), Doo Hickey Vintage Daisy's and Wild Strawberry Flower, and Martha Stewart Frond Branch Punch are all availabler from Dies to Die For.

Just Magnolia Challenge

Well at last I have been able to create a DT card for Just Magnolia Challenge seems ages since I have participated, this week we are hosted by the lovely Mina who has chosen the Theme of Ribbon, Ribbon and More Ribbon, wow a challenge right up my street, thank you dear xxx. I am also entering this card for Novembers Challenge on CPL Challenge.

I really enjoyed making this card, lots of my favourite images, dies, and of course ribbons!!!!! I have used Copics to colour Tilda and the fabulous Trees, the trees have been covered in Glamour Dust. The inspiration for the colours I have used on Tilda were inspired by the delicious Magnolia Paper available from Dies to Die For. The Doo Hickey “Lovely Fence” and Tilda Stamp are also available from Dies to Die For.

The Christmas Tree Stamps are old Magnolia ones, I am not sure if they are still available, but I bring them out every year I love the shape of them and they are a dream to colour. I bought the Sizzix Snowflake Border Die from Crafts U Love at the NEC this is the first time I have had a chance to use it I distressed the edges of the snowflakes with Iced Spruce Distress Ink from the New Winter Collection of Three inks, (each one of them is an awesome colour these are another must have).

The Ribbon & Flowers I have used are from The Ribbon Girl and the Holly Berrys from Wild Orchid Crafts, I have used one of the stamps from the Lili of the Valley “Grunge “Grunge Post Card Stamp Sheet” on the Tag.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Morning Peeps sorry for being AWOL for so long its been PC problems again, MY PC has now been completely cleared of all previous programmes, files, E-Mails etc, and VISTA has been replaced by Windows 7 so its like a Virgin PC . Keep your fingers crossed for me that my problems have now been solved.

Of Course the first card on my return has to be a Lili of the Valley Card, today is the start of the new Lili of the Valley Challenge which this week has the theme of A Christmas Card for Someone Special. I’m afraid my card isn’t very special as whilst my PC was down I also seemed to lose my MOJO, but hope to find it soon.

This sweet image is from the latest Lili of the Valley Release and is called Summer- “Icy Angel”, she has been coloured with Copics and I have added copious amounts of Glamour Dust to her wings and dress. The two postmark stamps are both from Lili of the Valley Grunge Christmas Post Marks Sheet, I love this set of stamps they are going to be so useful. The Snowflakes (which have also been covered with Glamour Dust) are all punched with Martha Stewart Snowflake Punches and I have added little Gems to the middle of each.

I have tucked Cheese Cloth Fabric from Wild Orchid Crafts behind the Image and for added impact decided to scatter matching Gems across the fabric. The backing Paper is from last years Christmas Release from Magnolia.

I am going off to find my MOJO now, but hopefully will be back tomorrow.

This really has to be my favourite of all the new Baby Images, as a bonus the sentiment comes with the stamp plate. The papers are from my stash drawer, I have used A Doo Hickey Tag Die to tuck behind the image. The Daisy Lace is fom The Ribbon Box and the awesome Silver Mesh Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl. Although it dosen’t show there is loads of glamour dust on the image.

Final Sneak Peek before the NEC and a Crafters Companion DT Card

Morning all, this will be my final sneak peek post before the NEC, also I have yesterdays DT card for this months Challenge on Crafters Companion Challenge which this month is Let It Snow Let it Snow, Let it Snow.

I will try to schedule more Lili of the Valley Cards whilst I am at the NEC, keep your fingers crossed I do it right, me and Technology do not get on to well. I hope to see lots of you in Birmingham, it is always such a great place to meet up with friends.

Today my sneak is from the fantastic Mice Collection, I love the meeces they are perfect for men's cards as well as for the girls. The papers are from Nitwits Collections “Buds and Blossoms”, for once I choose the Paper before colouring the image, I know it is much easier to do this but all my good intentions are forgotten when I see the images I just want to get colouring .

I have used quite a a few Dies on this card , The roses are made with a Marianne Designs Die, The leaves are a Doo Hickey Die as is the Border, and of course nesties have been used to cut out and frame the image, the Button is also a die by Die-Namics, all these dies are available from Tracy at Dies to Die For.

Now for my Crafters Companion Card, sorry I am late with this, I had to go out yesterday afternoon and forgot to schedule this one.

This gorgeous SWALK Image from the Winter Cheer Collection is Called Snowman. I have used Spectrum Noirs to colour the image. The paper on the base of the Rocker card is from the Winter Cheer Collection CD. Again I have used a couple of die cuts on this card. The Christmas Trees which I have distressed around the edge with Broken China Distress Ink, also available from Crafters Companion, and the fence are both Doo Hickey Dies.

Happy Halloween

OMG last day of October 2 months until Christmas, must get my finger out and start getting organised, I usually have most of my presents bought, food ordered for delivery Christmas Eve and most of my cards made by now, haven’t done any of it yet.

My card today is another sneak peek from Lili of the Valley available on the website from 10th November, but they will be available to those luck enough to be going to the NRC this week. I will be there from about 1pm on Thursday until Sunday close so hope to meet up with lots of old and new friends, don’t forget to come and visit us on the Lili of the Valley Stand.

Another little fairy for you today this one is “Never to Old for Cupcakes” and again the sentiment is included with the stamp. She has been coloured with Copics, the backing paper is from Nitwits Collections. The Swirl is a Marianne Design Die and the lovely Pink Rose Ribbon (to which I have added lots of Stardust Stickles) are from The Hobby House (Jill if you read this you will be my first shopping stop at the NEC). The Flowers are by prima I have had them ages so not sure where I bought them.

I have added lots of Glamour Dust to her wings and to the swirl. Sorry this is quick must get ready for Thirsday.

Sunday Sneaks

Happy Sunday everyone, I was looking forward to having a lay in this morning but Rosie had different ideas and woke me at 6.30, so I am really thankful we put the clocks back, I have used the extra time well, done all the housework etc and now have a day free to craft. I have a couple of Lili of the Valley sneak peeks for you today, I want to show you as many of the new stamps as possible before the NEC to help you make your shopping list.

We are launching the new stamps at the big UK Hobbycrafts show at the NEC next Thursday, but they won’t be on sale on the website until the following Thursday, which is 10.11.11, so if you are at the NEC next week please come and visit our stand and be one of the first to get your hands on these delicious new images

I am going to showcase 2 of the Baby Collection today, but the whole new Lili of the Valley release is made up of Babies, Fairies, Mice, Sweet Little Girls and Cute Animals.

This is “All our Dreams” such a beautiful soft image, I have coloured baby and feather with Copics the sentiment comes with the image, The stunning backing papers are by s.e.i and are available from Crafts U Love, they are a really white background and are embossed with silver so mouth-watering. A Mather Stewart punch has been used for the border and I have tucked a doily behind the image, the swirls and flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.

My Next Card is also from the Baby Range and is called Little Sleepy Head.

Again the Sentiment comes with the image, thanks Lili of the Valley it is such a boon to have sentiments with images. I think the papers are by Kaiser, I have had them so long not sure. The image and frame were die cut with Nesties and the Doily behind is from a Cherry Lynn Die from Dies to Die For, as is the Die-namics Die I have used for the stars which were die cut from white card and then smothered in Glamour Dust.

A Card for CLP Challenge and a Sneak Peek

Morning all, its two cards from me today one is a delicious Sneak Peek from Lili of the Valley and the other is my entry for this months CPL Challenge using my New Magnolia Purchases.

First its my CPL Challenge Card, once I saw the fantastic Sketch for this months challenge I knew I just had to have a go

As you know I went to Crafts U Love last week and they had just had their latest delivery which included the new Magnolia Collection, I have been really disappointed with the last couple of Tilda releases and didn’t in fact buy any but this Christmas release was just irresistible, the papers accompanying the release are also one of their best. I also bought a few of the new Doo Hickey Dies and have used them on this card, one is the Mistletoe leaves I have used and the other is the Poinsettia Die.

Instead of a paper layer tucked behind the image I have used the Lili of the Valley “Grunge Postcard Stamp” and a little Post Stamp from their recently released “Grunge Christmas Postmark Set" . The card base is created with a Go-Kreate Die, love using these dies for shaped cards.

I thought I would show you a close up of the delicious Memory Box Frosty Border Die from Dies to Die For, I have covered the border in Glamour Dust and add lots of Pearls.

Next I have a Sneak Peek from the New Release from Lili of the Valley we are launching them at the big UK Hobbycrafts show at the NEC next Thursday, but they won’t be on sale on the website until the following Thursday, which is 10.11.11, so if you are at the NEC next week please come and visit our stand and be one of the first to get your hands on these delicious new images.

This little image is called Positively Pampered and comes complete with her own sentiment, when I was colouring her I decided to use the same colours as my first Fairy Tiptoes card as I am sure it is the same fairy.

Again I have used a Go-Kreate die for the card base, the paper is by Magnolia. I have distressed around the edge of the image and Sentiment with Spun Sugar DI. The Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the last (which is the last piece I have must remember to stock up at the NEC) is from the Ribbon Box. Once again I have used one of my new dies from Dies to Die For this one is Catalinas Wreath which has also been distressed around the edge with SPUN Sugar DI.

Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Morning Peeps, back in the world of the Internet again, isn’t it strange how being without Internet Access makes you feel out on a limb, I have really missed everyone this week, but BT assure me that all my problems should be over now.

One good thing was I had some time to make a few cards and catch up with the dreaded housework, so here is the first of the cards I made.

I received some of my pre-ordered Dies from Dies to Die For at the end of last week and could not resist using the fabulous Memory Box Frosty Border on this card, I distressed the edges of the border and also of the Punched Snowflakes with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. The awesome Little Bears are from Lili of the Valley the stamp is called “Christmas Bears Mistletoe” who could resist them.

The papers are by Maja Designs and are available from Crafts U Love as is the Doo Hickey Label Die used for the label tucked behind the image, and the Magnolia Snowflakes stamps .

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Good morning peeps, had a fab day yesterday ay Crafts U Love, they had just taken stock of the new Christmas Magnolias, I have been disappointed with the last couple of Tilda releases but these Christmas stamps are just irresistible so of course I had to buy a few (6 or 7) and the new Magnolia Papers Wow!!!!!!!!!! ended up buying all of them.

I am off to a wedding tomorrow and intending wearing a pair of really feminine High Heels, but yesterday I badly twisted my ankle so not sure if I will be able to wear them now, as the only other footwear I own are boots, and I don’t think they would look good with my floaty dress, may have to go out and get some flat shoes. I don’t do feminine often I am much happier in Jeans and Tops after this fiasco think I may stick to them in future.

As its Thursday its time for a new Challenge on Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog, this week we have a BINGO card for you to use, do hope you can come and join us.

I have used the new Digi stamp designed by Laila just in time for Halloween and on sale from yesterday on the Lili of the Valley Website, isn't she sweet. I am afraid the photo doesn’t do her or the card justice as it was late last evening that I took it and the light was really bad. I have used Copics to colour her. The paper is from Can I Be Frank pack from Nitwits Collections. not sure where the little Ribbon Ghosts come from I have had them for years.

I bought a pack of C0-Ordinations Black Magic Potion 9 from Crafters Companion a few months ago and this is the first time I have used it, I run a piece of the card through the Cuttlebug in a Halloween embossing folder and then using the Co-Ordinations Sand it Gadget I sanded the black layer down to reveal the lilac inner core love how this looks. My three items from the Bingo Card are Embossing, Pins and Flowers, my flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the Pins are from the Ribbon Girl.

This is a little late, but I have managed to make my DT card for The Ribbon Girl Challenge No 12 this week we are sponsored by Ribbon Girl and Lili Of The Valley and our lovely teamie Kath chose the colours and she picked shades of Lilac and Green.

Hi and good morning, I haven’t dropped off the planet quite yet. Had a really hectic fortnight and have not had time to blog or make cards, my Brother and dearest nephew Michael came over from the USA to visit it was fabulous to see them both and they gave Mum a real lift, I haven’t heard her laugh so much in ages, also had some magazine & TV work and prep for the Lili of the Valley Colouring weekend that was held this Saturday and Sunday. Will hopefully have a card to post later today or this evening. Ahoy There

Hope you have all enjoyed a Sunday Lay in today. I am going to have my usual weekly cleaning session in the Craft Room today, I was so pleased with myself at the beginning of the week, I actually cleaned up after myself and put everything I had to used back in the correct place but as the week went by my good intentions gradually slipped and this morning I cannot see my desk

A boys card for a change, I actually made a similar card earlier in the year and was asked by the same person to make another one, thought it would be a doddle but its easier to make a completely different card than to try to copy one. The papers are by Magnolia. I have used a Martha Stewart Border Punch to make the wave pattern on the white and blue card. The Ribbon is fron The Craft Fairy and the Charm from The Hobby House. Of course the fabulous stamp is from Lili of the Valley and is called Land Ahoy

Titania–Queen of the Fairies

Morning Peeps, cannot say Good Morning after having spent 40 heart stopping minutes watching England battle against France in the Rugby, I have now turned off the second half I don’t think my heart can take anymore, do hope England pick up in the second half but cannot see it. Well done Wales though.

Well on a brighter note I have another Sugar Nellie image for you today, as you can see from the title of this post she is called Titania and not only is she Queen of the Fairies she is Queen of My Heart when I was growing up I always wanted to be Titania. And yesterday I received an e-mail from Funky Kits telling me there were more Fairies on the website, I don’t think I have to tell you what happened do I.

I have used Copics to colour the image and added lots and lots of Glamour Dust. I didn’t want too much on the card as the image speaks for itself, I have used paper from First Edition Paper Pack Festive Treats, and cut and glittered 2 trees cut with Marianne Designs Christmas Tree Die. The Sentiment is from Lili of the Valley Christmas Circular Sentiment stamp set. I wish I hadn’t put the doily behind the image now there is no point in it being there, but its too late to change it.

Colours Used:

Reds: R59, R35, R37, R35, R32

Browns R49, E77, E74, E70

Greys: Spectrum Noirs CG2, CG1, CG0.5

Now do I go back to watching the Rugby or carry on colouring my Lili of the Valley Image for tomorrows card, decisions decisions!!!!

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Morning, It seems an age since I lasted posted on here, but of course I couldn’t miss posting my DT card for the New Lili of the Valley Challenge which this week is “LET IT SNOW”.

“Under the Mistletoe” is todays image which has been coloured with Copics. The lovely papers are from Nitwits Collections. The sentiment if from Lili of the Valley Christmas Circular Sentiment stamp set, and the sentiment on the base of the card is also from Lili of the Valley’s A5 Verses sentiment sheet. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the lovely Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

I have added flat backed pearls to the Mistletoe Leaves which were cut with a Doo Hickey Mistletoe Die from Crafts U Love .

The course is £100 per person and includes two 3 hour sessions, as well as lunch and refreshments at Leeds Metropolitain University Headingley Campus. The event will start at 9.30am and finish at 5pm. You will also be able to buy Lili of the Valley Stamps and products whilst you are there. Hello Little Robin

I am afraid I have been rather a naughty Girl this week, I was being very good and keeping to my Craft Diet, didn’t even spend much at Ally Pally, but then I paid a visit to Sugar Nellie and saw lots of new cute stamps that I wanted, on my first visit I put them all in my basket, but after guilty feelings I put some back and only bought 4 I felt so proud of myself. Afraid it didn’t last long the call of the rubba was so strong, I went back the next day and bought the rest of them, there is no helping me I am afraid.

Today I have a card made with one of the images from my second visit this little beauty is called “Hello Little Robin”, I tore the packet open and had to stamp her straight away. I have used Go-Kreate Large Frilly Frame No 8 Die for the base card, the Grey paper is Magnolia and the Pink is from Nitwits Collections.

The die cut flowers have been cut with Doo Hickey Die, as has the leaf, both available from Crafts U Love, and sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist, whilst still wet I screwed them up a little. I painted a grunge board heart with Tim Holtzs Picket Fence Crackle Paint, then again sprayed it with Pearl Glimmer Mist and edged with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The roses and Pins are from The Ribbon Girl.

Friday Favourite

Morning Peeps, Its time for a new challenge on Just Magnolia & hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge, and this week we have a fabulous sketch by our own Jane. In the last 2 months or so I have been finding it hard to gather any enthusiasm for using my once beloved Tildas, but after searching through my very large box of Magnolia Stamps and finding so many old favourites I am going to start using them again.

These are a couple of my older Magnolia stamps I was talking about, sorry about the rubbish photo I always have trouble taking photos at night when reds are used. The papers are from Lost & Found Christmas pad from The Hobby House and the Lace and Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, (Ohh just realised one of my pearls has slipped out of place).

I have only used the Magnolia Christmas Envelope image onc before but really love colouring it so I am going to keep it on my desk and use it a bit more.

I have managed to make a note of the colours used today:

TILDA: Flesh: E11, E00, E000, Hair, E74, E70, E40, Dress: E42, E40, Roses, Headband, Ribbon: R39, R37, R35, R32, Holly: YG67, YG63.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Morning All, hope all those of you in the UK are enjoying this Indian Summer, make the most of it, I heard on the news last night that we are in for the worst winter on record and could even get snow in October!!!!!

We have a new challenge posted today on Lili of the Valley Challenge our theme this week is “Button It “ and Lili of the Valley have donated a £15 voucher so do hope you can come and join us.

I was discussing using Distress Inks for colouring with a couple of friends at the weekend and I realised how much I had missed using them since I started to colour with Markers, so yesterday I got my DI’s out and had a go, it was not as easy as I thought to pick up again think I need a bit more practise, but it was really enjoyable to have a paintbrush in my hands again.

I have used one of last years Bunny Christmas stamps for this card, the Distress Inks used to colour him are: Fur Tea Die, Red Carn Door, Green Peeled Paint, Bird House Brushed Corduroy, Sack Frayed Burlap.

The paper is from my Christmas Scrap Paper Box so not sure who it is by. The awesome Gold Net Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl as are the Hat Pins and Buttons, and I have used a Prima Rose in the middle of the bow.

Wishing you a Musical Christmas

I know at the best of times my spelling is bad, but if there are a large number of typos on here you can blame it on Rosie, she is sitting on my lap and keeps knocking my hand and arm as she wants a stroke, she is very persistent . Today I have a Musical card for you.

By the amount of you who bought this Lili of the Valley “Musical Christmas” stamp at the weekend you love it as much as I do. Not using much colour on the image I thought I was free to add lots of different colour glitter, this is quite unusual for me as I normal stick to Crystal Glamour Dust. The backing papers are from Nitwits Collections . I popped a Lili of the Valley Grunge Musical stamp stamped onto white card behind the image, the Sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley. This is a card I made for this months issue of Quick Cards Made Easy and as we have to make them months in advance I cannot remember the copics I used. I also forgot to take a close up of the coloured image.

Little Apprentice

Sorry I didn’t get back here yesterday as promised have quite a bit of Freelance work going on and I got carried away with it, it was midnight before I realised the day had gone. When I got back home from Ally Pally I had a lovely package awaiting me, I had ordered some cute little stamps from Sugar Nellie, the impulse to use them was to great and I got up at 6am this morning to make this card.

Can I introduce you to this darling little fairy she is called “The Apprentice” She has been coloured with a mixture of Copics and FlexiMarkers, and lots of Glamour Dust has been added to her fur and wings. The Papers are by Magnolia and are available from Crafts U Love, The Doily, Organza Roses, Pearls and Martha Stewart Snowflake Die are all available from The Hobby House.

I told you yesterday about the Stamp Company I visited at Ally Pally, they are called Vilda Stamps HB, I visited their website this morning and they have about 700 stamps, tanging from fantasy to grunge, I will certainly be buying more, here are the stamps I bought on Sunday. Cannot wait to use them.

Flying in The Air

Morning Peeps, home again, it was lovely to catch up with so many friends at Ally Pally at the weekend, but I am absolutely shattered today, I didn’t spend too much this weekend, Saturday was manic and we didn’t have much time to do any shopping, but on Sunday just before the show opened we had a wander around and I found a delightful new Stamping Company from Scandinavia and had to buy s few of their delightful stamps, I will add a link to their blogsite later when I have made a card with one of the images, I am sure you will love them. Today I will be showing you some cards I made for the Crafters CompanionSnowman TV Pick of the Week Release, as I haven’t had time to make a card for today yet.

This easel card is made with two sheets printed from the CD-Rom card companions folder.

This one is made from the Rocker Card Folder.

And this one uses a Frame Card and a Digi Image which I coloured with Spectrum Noirs also from the CD-Rom.

A Christmas scene with Molly Bloom Stamps

By the time you read this I should be at Ally Pally (fingers crossed). This is a fabulous show always so friendly, I look forward to it all year, if you are coming on either day please pop over to the Lili of the Valley Stamp Stand and say hello. We also have a separate stand this year devoted to the fabulous New Diecuts.

As usual everything has been left to the last minute and I still have My Pens, pencils etc to pack, Iron my clothes for Saturday and Sunday, prepare mums food for the day and its now nearly 9pm on Friday Night Heigh Ho I love working under pressure

I am so enjoying using these Xmas Molly Bloom Stamps and the wonderful Gingerbread house was just crying out to be decoupaged, I stamped and coloured the house stamp (the Trees are also part of the stamp) used one as the base then cut out the house lollipops, and jelly trees and decoupaged them onto the base.

With the image coloured and 3d’d it then hit me what a great step card this would make so the stamps and markers came out again and I coloured these 2 Molly Bloom Girls.

For once an idea in my head came out just as I envisaged it, isn’t it great when that happens.

Well Girls off to de the ironing etc, hope to see lots of you at the show, if your not coming have a lovely weekend, here in the UK a nice sunny and warm weekend is forecast

Snowman from Crafters Companion

Today sees the release of the Crafters Companion Snowman Paper Kit and project CD, this Kit and CD-Rom is just the best yet. Fantastic Projects on the CD including for the first time Digi Images, Rocker cards, Snowglobes etc. It is this weeks Pick of the Week on Create and Craft, a fantastic offer the Paper kit including 300 Elements for £22.49 and the CD-Rom is thrown in for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a card made with a digi image from the CD-Rom and also on of the blank scenes for making blank cards, I popped the card through the printer then turned it over to the back and printed it again so I have a scene on the Outside and inside.

And here is a Rocker card from the CD all I have added is Ribbon, Swirls and Buttons.

Lili of the Valley Challenge–Aqua White & Glitter

Ohhhhh!!! really late with this one had the unexpected pleasure of babysitting my good friends 9 month old Grand daughter this morning, think she gave Mum as much pleasure as she did me.

This week on Lili of the Valley Challenge we have another colour theme for you, I love this one “AQUA & WHITE WITH GLITTER”, we also have to great prizes to be won. A £10 Voucher from Lili of the Valley and a beautiful package from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I must admit I am loving the clean look of this card, looks as if I have taken so lessons from Dawny P . The image is Lili of the Valley Milly Just for You, she has been coloured with Copics. The doily has been cut with a Die-namics Dainty Doily Die, the bottom edge of the Card has been punched with Martha Stewart Wide Border Punch, and the Swirl is a Marianne Designs Die.

A Doo Hickey Peony Petals die has been used for the flower, which has been sprayed with Glimmer Mist and the glittered around the edge with Stickles.

Sealed with a Kiss–and a Stampavie Candy

I had a lovely day yesterday, the lovely Tracey from Dies to Die for asked me if I would like to join the Dies to Die for DT, would I, has a Robin got feathers of course I said yes, as regular visitors know I am a real fan of Dies to Die for. So today is my first post as a DT member.

Tracy’s has a special birthday today and has given me some candy to give away to celebrate :)
