Thanks a Bunch - Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Thanks A Bunch

As always it is entirely up to you what you make...a card, atc, altered art etc....just as long as it features at least one Penny Black image
This week we have a fabulous download to give away to one lucky winner chosen at random which has been kindly donated by our sponsor Tinker & Co. There are some great creations from my fellow DT members HERE, looking forward to visiting your blogs and seeing what you come up with for this challenge

Now the sharp eyed amongst you may notice a slight difference in the colouring of the image on the card and bag, well I have been playing again, the Image on the card is coloured with Distress Inks and the one on the bag is another of my practise pieces with Copics. The DP is BG the large circle cut on Cricut, I have just noticed that the little thank you tag in the small envelope has fallen out (Oh Dear don't know how I will find it in my messy room). The scrummy ribbon is from Raspberry Ribbons, rest from stash. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend everyone!

Away in a Manger - Spiral Whisper

Sprial Whisper have a lovely sketch to follow for their 4th Challenge, and after having a delivery of Janets Lovely Nativity Donkey and Angel I couldn't resist having a go. The Dt have come up with some great ispiration so click HERE to see them

This is my first attempt at using Copic Sketch Markers, they are lovely to use but I think I need a lot more practise, it is a completely different colouring method then the Promarkers, so I will carry on practising for now. I have added glitter to the angels wings and halo after all it is Christmas. The papers are from Dovecraft and have been mounted onto pale blue card. The Little Donkey was stamped first then masked and I stamped the angel, Joseph and Mary where coloured and then cut out and I used Silcone to mount them on top of the base picture. I didn' add a sentiment as I cut the second sheet of BP to show the words peace either side of the image. The wonderful Angel charm that is hanging from the snowflake was made by the Lovely Marlene.

I tried to take a photo of Marlene's lovely Angel Charm, but it hasn't come out very well.

Baby Dragon has had a busy morning chasing damsels and has decided to have a little rest. He is a LOTV stamp and the wall he is sitting on is one of the new releases from HH, the Sun is a Suger Nellie stamp, they have all been coloured with Pro Markers, the base card is SU and the DP is from Triple Treasures 2, rest is from Stash. A bit different from my normal cards but I quite like it.
I got my delivery of Copics yesterday so am going to have a practise today, I did have a go as soon as they arrived and I think I am going to love them.

Tilda & Co - Arts Apart Metal

Tilda & Co challenge this week is a little different you are asked to use metal somewhere on your creation, my fellow DT members have come up with some great ideas so why not come and join us, there is a great Sprial Whisper stamp up for grabs as well. Click
here for the link.

I started off this challenge by thinking I would use a metal charm and some wire on my card, then I realised I have a lot of metal CD tins from PP and they would look great decorated, so here is the result. I stamped and painted two sizes of Magnolias Dog Rose stamps then cut them out, I then coloured white card with a babywipe and distress ink, put it through a CB folder and then cut the circle with a Nestie. This gorgeous cross stich tilda was then coloured and cut, they were all attached to the CD tin with Pinflair Glue Gel, fantastic for sticking anything to metal, added some glitter to the centre of the flower and some half pearls around the edge. Will be doing some more of these. Hope you like.

WOJ Miranda Angel has been coloured with Distress Inks and H20's then cut with oval nesties, the paper which is BG has been edged with distress inks. The lovely Guardian Angel charm was made by the lovely and talented Marlene and the sentiment is Penny Black. I usually play safe when matching my backing paper colours but thought I would try to be a bit more adventurious and try a complete contrast this time. I am quite pleased with the result.

I Have been Tagged

I have been tagged this week by Theresa, Carole and Chris and have only just had time to pick the tag up. You are supposed to list 7 weird things about yourself, (only 7, everything about me is weird). Thank you girls for thinking of me. If you havn't visited the fabulous blogs of these girls now is your chance.
Right here goes:
1. I cannot tell my left from right, and find it hard to buy shoes because I am not sure which foot they go on. My poor children used to walk about with their shoes on the wrong feet until my eldest grew big enough to check them all before we went out.
2. I hate Moths, even really tiny ones.
3. Hate the telephone, havn't even got a mobile
4. I am the last girl for 62 years in the family
5. I am not at all girly, I much prefer to read spy thrillers and detective novels than romances, in fact I hate romantic fiction.
6. Have never watched a horror film, (I'm too scared).
7. I have never tasted chewing gum, I wasn't allowed it when I was young and I have never wanted to since.
Well I think these things are weird, let me know what you think. I am supposed to pass this on to 7 others but I think you have all been tagged now, but if you haven't
please feel free to TAG IT.
