Penny Black and Tildas Mothers day

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

A Recipe - 3 Brads, 2 Ribbons, 1 Flower

Thanks everyone who joined us last week fabulous entries again, this week its a Recipe 3 brads 2 ribbons and 1 flower, (OMG only 1 flower). I love this Pb stamp and as with most of my crafty stuff I don't use it enough, it has been coloured with Copics and distressed around the edge with Antique Linen and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks, all the papers are Basic Grey and have been distress with the same inks. The 2 ribbons are from A Raspberry Ribbon kit and flowers from stash.

I have used a MS Punch inside and the swirls are a magnolia stamp.

Here are the copics used on this card

Charisma Cards

Charisma cardz have a really lovely theme this week - A Pretty Card for Mum - a perfect excuse to use my new Magnolia Easter Collection Stamps which arrived this morning from Tabby Crafts, I must put in a plug here for Tab from Tabby Crafts I ordered the stamps just before noon and i received them the next morning excellent service and it is nice to support a fellow blogger isn't it.

Well for all of you who asked Tilda and Edwin had a brilliant time on the Orient Express although Edwin rather over indulged on the food and alcohol and is now on a diet.
I do like using the Magnolia stamps that enable Tilda or Edwin to sit on them and this bunch of flowers is just perfect for Easter. I have coloured both with Copics, Tilda was stamped and coloured twice, I cut the Dress, Flowers and front of head and added to the base image. The papers are a mixture from my craft stash and the flowers are all punched from the same paper, Sentiment was computer generated.

Some more of the papers inside and another of the Magnolia Easter Collection Tildas.

Easter delivery and Jester Jinks

The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

This weeks theme on secret Crafter is TRANSPORT just click Here to see the great Dt cards and to join in the challenge.

I Didn't think I had a stamp to fit this challenge but then remembered this great Easter Whippersnapper stamp (hope it qualifies). Very quick post today as I have so many blogs to visit, thanks to everyone who has left comments the last couple of days hope to get round to you all this morning.
This image has been coloured with copics and I have added some faux stitches around it. The Little Bunny brad is from Imaginise as is the paper. I have cut three of the white Daisys out of the paper added some stickles in the middle and used them as my embellies. I am afraid both cards to day are quite plain as Mr Mojo has gone on one of his occasional walkabouts and I am really struggling to make cards at the moment.

The little Bunny and bee are rub ons from Imaginise.

I have been asked so many times what colour copics I use so I thought I had better take a leaf out of Rachs book and show them at the end of each post.

Whiff of Joy DT Card - Medieval Collection

I was flicking through my new BG Marrakech Pad and as soon as I saw this paper I could imagine it with the Jester from the Medieval Collection by Whiff of Joy, I think it worked really well.

Charlie Jester has again been coloured with copics and I have added Glossy Accents to his juggling balls and bells. The large Embellie was from an old necklace but I felt it had a bit of a medieval feel about it, the sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy.

Plain again inside just added another Coloured image of Charlie this time coloured with Distress Inks and a few buttons from stash.

Thursdays Children

Sketch and Stash Challenge
have a fabulous sketch for us to follow this week and some really fabby Dt cards to get us started.

I have not been able to join in many challenges in the last couple of weeks as I have had a big commission to fulfill, more about that at the weekend. But like all of you I just had to stamp up and colour these lovely Gorjuss Girl stamps from Sugar Nellie as soon as they popped through the door, so this little one was sitting on my desk and as soon as I saw this sketch I knew she would be just right for it. She has been coloured with Copics, the papers are the new BG Pad Marrakech, they are yummy such fabulous colours. Yesterday I said I have a phobia about orange but don't you think this paper matches the image perfectly. Everything else from stash.

Another sheet from the Marrakech pad has been used inside.

Lili of the Valley Thursday Challenge

The cards entered for our Design Team call onLili of the Valley Challenge last week were fabulous and we have had a hard job picking 2 new Dt members, but we have at last come to a decision, the names will be published later today on the Challenge Blog, thank you everyone who entered.

This weeks theme is BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL, lots of colour on your card this week girls. To see the Dt cards and find out more LOTV news please click

I have used one of Lili's fairys and coloured her with copics, she has been cut and layered on to pale green card, the DP is from my stash and Ribbon from dear Rach. The embellies I found in a box and have had for ages but thought they matched this card perfectly.

Used some more of these recently discovered embellies inside

Two Little Sweeties

Wow what a great response there was to last weeks challenge, thank you everyone who entered Katharinas Whiff of Joy Guest DT Call, the standard of entries was absolutely staggering and I am Glad I don't have Katharinas job of having to choose between you all.
Well this week we are back to normal and have a real lovely challenge we would like to see your creations using Lavender and Lace. The rest of the Dt have created some really lovely cards with this theme so just click
here to see them and of course come and join us in the challenge.

Willow picking flowers is such a lovely image to colour especially with distress inks, I know I shouldn't have a favourite but I must admit she has won my heart. The edges of the image have been distressed with Milled Lavender inks after being cut with the Oval nesties. The scrumptious papers are a download and the sentiment is another Whiff of Joy stamp. The flowers are from stash and leaves have been punched with Ash Branch punch, (which I am pleased I am not the only one who has trouble with).

The papers have been used inside and I have added some diecut butterflies which I have had for ages and have no idea where they came from.

Stamp with Stampavie

For the second time this week I have had to make a card for a challenge that daunts me, this week on Stamp with Stampavie the colour challenge is ORANGE and Blue, now ORANGE is just one of those colours I just cannot get on with, but i persevered and am quite pleased with the card in the end. We would love to see your cards for this theme so please come and join us.

My Lovely postman made my day and delivered a little parcel containing the E00 Copic Marker I had ordered from Artifolk, of course I then had to colour an image using it. I havn't used this great Sarah Kay image for ages and forgot how great she is to colour. I didn't think I had any Orange DP but found this in a pad of BG and it was just right. The Flowers are all from stash, and the lovely leave charm is from Katharina. Ribbon from Poppicrafts. The sentiment is a Whiff of Joy Stamp. As you can see yesterdays tearing exercise left me wanting to use the effect again perhaps I have now overcome this fear.

Still tearing as you can see I have coloured the image again for the inside, I am enjoying decorating the insides as much as the front now.

Tough Guy

Our Challenge on A Spoonful of Sugar this week, is TORN EDGES, there are some fabulous Girlie cards by my fellow DT Members on the challenge blog so why not go and check them out and come and join us in this weeks Challenge.

TORN EDGES the thought terrifies me, I am hopeless at tearing, it always goes wrong, so I havn't done very much of it on this card, and I will not tell you how much paper I wasted to get to this stage :(. My Little Tough Guy is a Wood mounted Whippersnapper stamp and he has been coloured with Copics and cut with Nesties Labels. The lovely papers are a Mary Fran download (Little Men), a fab collection for boys cards. The String and buttons are from stash, The tough guy sentiment is also from Whippersnapper and is from a sheet of unmounted boys stamps from Crafts U Love.

Both the sentiment and the lovely little Dog are from the same sheet of stamps

Gorjuss again and WOJ DT - Willow on swing

A Gorjuss Tag along Tote

As soon as I saw this great tote on the lovely and super talented Rach's Blog, I knew I wanted to make one to send a gift to a very dear blogging friend, but I had to wait for the stamp kit to arrive, it came on Friday and of course I couldn't wait just had to make it. The fabulous template for the Tag along Tote is available from Papertrey Inks at a very reasonable Price of $5, they have some great templates on their site so it is well worth a visit.

I had a real shock over the weekend, well it was more of a catastrophe than a shock my Copic E00 marker run out without warning, as this is the Marker I use for flesh I thought I wouldn't be colouring up any more of these little beauties until me New markers arrived. But then I had a eureka moment and decided to colour them with Distress Inks instead, I didn't think they really lent themselves to Distress Ink colouring as I felt they should be bold, but I am really pleased with the results. Anyone who lost out on the pre-order of these fabulous little girls Sugar Nellie have a few back on the website, but be quick, you will not regret getting these stamps.

I have filled the side pockets with lots of little crafting goodies and a large reel of ribbon in the other pocket and the cassette of stamps fitted perfectly on the inside (Spot the mistake).

A Side view of the Tote

Whiff of Joy DT Card

Luckily I had already Coloured this lovely sitting Willow and had her sitting on the top of my desk. I was tidying up my Magnolia Accessories and came across this swing stamp which I haven't used for ages and just knew the two stamps were made for each other.

I have coloured and cut out both stamps the background has been quickly coloured with the lightest blue copic I have on a small piece of card cut to fit behind the swing and the swing was added with glue gel the I glue gelled Willow onto the swing, I wanted the tree branch to overlap the square as i thought it would add interest to the image. The paper is a download, and the gorgeous charm is a pressie from Kathatina (Mwah dear). I just added some hand cut corners and a few pearls, I don't think it needs anymore embellies.

The inside is very busy but I am pleased with it.

Well if you are still here and haven't fallen asleep thanks very much for visiting today

WOJ POM - A Money Box and Tildas Holiday

Magnolia Vs Stampavie

*Week 16* LACE AND PEARLS

This is the chance to let rip with all the girlie stuff and use up some lace and pearls on your creations.

This weeks theme has been set buy the lovely and talented Bev, who I am sure you all know creates the most stunning cards. The Dt have come up with some beautiful ideas so don't forget to check out their cards and details of this weeks prize on the Challenge Blog Here

Tilda is in all her finery, Edwin has surprised her with a fabulous holiday treat, he is taking her on the Orient Express, she is sitting on the Suitcases waiting for him to find a porter. I loved this challenge set by Bev just adore lace and pearls and this little Tilda in her hat is just the right image to go with the theme. I have coloured all the images with Distress Inks then cut out the bottom suitcases has been 3d and Tilda has been sat on top of it. The swirls are also a Magnolia Stamp from the Valentines Collection I have added flat back pearls here and there on the swirls. The paper is a download, and the lace a present from Dear Bev (thanks sweetie), I have again made the flowers with a number of different layers.

The same paper is used inside and has been punched with the MSED Punch.

Whiff of Joy Project of the Month - Money Box

Katharina has set the Design Team a lovely project this month To Make a Money Box. The Dt members have all come up with something different and stunning so please check out their blogs the links t all the Dt Members are on my side bar.

I havn't done a tutorial for this one as it was so simple. The base and Lid are actually a Bisto Granules Tin, which I hav covered with Cosmo Cricket Papers, I covered the Lid with 3 circles cut with the Scalloped Nesties then cut the slot with my craft knife, I cut out the slot in the plastic lid before I attached the papers then cut the paper from the back through the slot, does that make sense. I then cut another Circle Nestie for the base. I attached ribbon to the sides of the lid. The Lovely Whiff of Joy Willow stamp from the Elizabeth Bell Spring Collection, has been coloured with copics. The Flowers are from Joanna Sheen and I have added some twisted wire for effect.
