LOTV1a

Did you all manage to get your stamps from the new Boys release from Lili of the Valley yesterday, I know that Lisa, Laila and Richard have been going flat out since midnight last night, these new stamps should soon be appearing all over blog land I think!!

On the Lili of the Valley Challenge  this week we have a fabulous theme for you

RIBBON & BOWS

As it is the 2nd Thursday in MAY  we have our regular monthly sponsors  The very Generous Andrea and Mary from The Ribbon Girl .

LOTV1

I had a fancy for using my Distress Inks this week, I forgot how much I love them and have made a resolution not to leave it so long again, I think I need a bit of practise though.  Fairy Thistledown just seemed perfect to go with these new Pion Papers, from Dies to Die for, it was so hard to cut into these that I could only bring myself to use one sheet.  I ordered 3 sheets of each design, 1 to use, 1 to Stroke and 1 to wallpaper the craftroom lol!!!!.

lotv2

The colour has not photographed quite right here but I have used matching Seam Binding and a little Charm from The Ribbon Girl .

lotv3

Cherry Blossom, 20mm Open Rose , 4mm closed Rosebuds  and beautiful lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts

lotv4

Don’t look to close at the colouring, I need more practise again.

Before I went away last week I bought just a few more TeddyBo images, including this super Strawberry TeddyBea and of course I had to colour at least one before I went, but unfortunately  as I always try to tidy up when I go away (just in case a burglar decides to visit), I put all the copics away so no colours for you today.

The papers are from Magnolia, all my Maggie papers are in a plastic container that is at the bottom of a huge stack of boxes so they have been neglected lately, and I love my new border punch.

Karate Kid

Karate1a

Good Morning, seems like ages since I posted, I have been away from Friday until late yesterday forgive me if this is a quick post I have so much to catch up on over 300 e-mails and lots of DT work.
karate2
The wait for the release of these stunning new Lili of the Valley Boy images is nearly over you will be able to purchase these on the website from  Midnight tonight.  The comments we have received about this release just shows us how much you want images for the Boys, I think these will all fly off the website.
This image is called Karate Kid (what else), and I for one absolutely adore him, its a very plain card for me, but the image speaks for itself.  I have used Magnolia papers on here and ribbon from my stash, had it so long cannot remember where it is from!!!  The sentiment is from the Lili of the Valey  “Happy” sentiment sheet.
karate3
Copics used to colour this image:

I love this round cards, the large round card blank and Medium Scalloped Circle is from a Scallop Circle Pack from Which Craft, the rest of the plain circles were measured out with a compass and then cut free hand from Mauve Card and Magnolia Backing Paper.

I was hunting around on the web for some star dies but couldn’t find any so cut these free hand from Orange Card and add some gorgeous buttons from The Ribbon Girl  to the  middle of each star.  The Sentiment is from Lili of the Valleys Dreamy Days Sentiment Sheet.

im1

I received my Boxer and Enveloper board from Crafters Companion together with the accompanying DVD one of the projects on the DVD was to make an Tealight holder card using the Boxer Board, I changed the measurements  a little but could not believe how quick and easy it was using the board.

Happy May Day

SP2a
Good Morning and a Happy May Day to you all, I have always loved May Day when I was young (many moons ago) we used to have a May Day parade through the Village, a May Queen would be chosen from the Girls at the primary school and we would all make her a crown of flowers, then a Maypole was set up on the green and all the girls and boys dressed in white with lots of coloured ribbons around their waist and on their hats would dance around the Maypole, I really wish they would bring the celebration back, it may be my imagination but it always seemed that the sun was shining.
SP2
Another sneak peek for you today from the New Boy oh Boy release (on sale from 11th May) by Lili of the Valley.  My piccies a bit blurred I am afraid, I think I was shaking I had just turned on the TV and heard of the death of Osama Bin Laden, I know you shouldn’t rejoice at anyones death and we will now have to be extra vigilant but I think it will help those people who lost loved ones in the terrible attacks he encouraged all over the world to have a closure.
Well back to the card I am sorry I went off at a tangent.  The papers are from K&CO Hopscotch Boy Papers and I have used a Martha Stewart Border Punch, I have used 2 Tags from the Lili of the Valley Clear Additions Tag Sheet and the word are also from the Clear Additions range.  I have attached them to Bakers twine from The Ribon Girl with a Tim Holtzs Bulldog Clip.
SP3
Sorry I have not got the colours I used on this one I coloured the image for Advertising purposes ages ago and I know I made a note of the colours but cannot find it.
TB2a
I have not done very much crafting this weekend but last night I just had to colour  up another of my TeddyBo images (sorry TeddyBea), I  am so in love with these.
TB2
I was playing with layering up as you can see, I always play safe with layers keeping squares with squares ovals with ovals etc, but wanted to see how it would look if I mixed shapes, I am really pleased with the outcome and am going to try to be more adventurous in the future.  I have stamped the Lili of the Valley Grunge Music Stamp in Victorian velvet Distress Ink, then punched the circular doily and label and distressed again with Victorian Velvet The Sentiment is computer generated.
TB1
The Colours used:
Bear E53, E51, E50 and Medium Brown Pencil
Hat: E71, E70, E40
Dress: B23, B21, B41, C00
Boots: R85, R83, R81, RV000
Shopping List:
Stamp – TeddyBo, Music Stamp Lili of the Valley Clear Additions,
Dies – Mariannes Circles and Bales Dies from Crafts U Love
Flowers – Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon – The Ribbon Girl
Thanks for staying to the end of this long post
Have a good day

Todays sneak is of “Pirate Bear”, love, love , love him!!!!! he has been coloured with Copics as usual, the papers are My Minds Eye “Lost & Found”,   I am so glad these images are special enough to stand alone as I have real trouble finding the right embellies for Boys cards.  I computer generated the two sentiments and after printing them stamped a  Tag from Lili of the Valley Clear Additions Tag Sheet over them and cut out, they have been attached with a Tim Holtz Paperclip.  The Oval behind the image is from another of the Lili of the Valley Clear Additions Range A5 Sheet called   Cute as A Button.

Crafters Companion Challenge

cc1a
Good afternoon, its the first of the month that means a new challenge on Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge, this month we would like you to make a card for a Girls Birthday.  Sara has kindly donated a £30 Gift Voucher for the Crafters Companion Website to one lucky entry chosen at random - well worth winning isn’t it!   It is not necessary to use Crafters Companion Products on your entry, but those who do will be entered twice into the candy draw and all entries may be entered into other online blog challenges.

cc1

An Unusual size for me I decided to make this an A4 card, the delicious papers are from the Fairyopolis CD and and the stamp is form an  accompanying Stamp  Sheet. I have used Copics to colour the image (sorry didn’t make a note of the numbers) and have distressed around the edge of the image with Walnut Stain DI.  I have punched a stunning Border with Martha Stewart Punch and also distressed the edges of this.

The seam binding and Flowers and Pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts (where else).

A closer view of the White Bryony Fairy from the Autumn Stamp Sheet.  I hope you can come and join us this month
