PAPERTAKE WEEKLY CHALLENGE - WHIFF OF JOY DT

Another challenge I haven't entered for ages, but I thought the challenge was also perfect to show off WOJ Molly the Celebrating Sheep and the New Sentiment stamps. The challenge was to use Three Shapes on the card, I hope I have suceeded in this. The lovely Imaginise Baby Boy Collection papers have been matted onto brown card, and Molly was coloured with copics and then cut with Nesties, The ribbon is from Raspberry Ribbons as were the buttons. The Sentiment on the front is by PB

A Closer view of the colouring and Molly

I have used the Whiff of Joy Presents stamp from the new Accessory Kit and also stamped "It's your Day" sentiment over the background card and have also used it for the sentiment. This is one of the sentiments from the new WOJ Release.

Dragon Love and Dreaming Bryony

Well not very often I do this but have managed two challenges in one with this card, the challenge on Charisma Cards is Fantasy and Sketch and Stash have a fabulous Sketch to follow which fitted this image perfectly. I have used a New Stamp, New CD ad Ribbon from this months Raspberry Ribbon pack so I think I fulfill the requirements for Sketch and Stash

I would like you to welcome Bryony, a new member of my ever increasing Fairy Stamp family, she is from Susanas Art and Stuff, Susana has a a fabulous collection of Fantasy stamps plus many more and her service is fabulous usually only takes a week to arrive from the USA. Bryony has been coloured with Distress Inks and SU re-inkers, the Green Paper is from my stash (I think its K&Co) the pink paper was from a Peerlss Design CD (Fairy Wishes), Ribbon from Raspberry Ribbons and rest from stash.

Still managing to decorate the inside of the cards, it has become habit now and I think it really finishes off the cards a treat.

We have a Valentines theme on Lili of the Valley Challenge this week and a great prize of a wood mounted Twinkle the Fairy Stamp donated by Lisa and Lilia from Lili of the Valley. So please pop over and join us this week, don't forget you are not restricted to Lili of the Valley products. There are some great cards by the DT members to get you started so we hope to see you joining us this week.

Now you have to hope this little lovesick dragon finds his hearts desire don't you? look at that longing look on his face, he is an unmounted stamp from Lili of the Valley and I love him to bits, he has been coloured with Copics (talking of which I have just had 18 new Copic Markers delivered from the US this morning Yipeee!!!). The papers Flowers and Heart Gem are all from the New Imaginise collection. The bubble alpha stickers are ages old I think they are from Laura Ashley collection.

The Vellum heart was cut with nesties and the verse was just one from my head, I am pleased with how the vellum heart came out and will use this idea again.

Thats it for today, I am off to Play with Chistine's new Digi Downloads and my New Copics.

Henry's Party and My Best Friend

We are really lucky this week on Whiff of Joy Challenge, the fabulous Katharina from Whiff of Joy has designed a great sketch for us, so why not come and join us this week you know you want to lol. The DT have some fabulous cards to give you inspiration so just click Here to check out the sketch and see the DT cards.
There is only 5 days left to order the
Whiff of Joy Elizabeth Bell Spring Collection so if you haven't already pop over and place your order, all I can say is you really will not want to miss this fabulous collection of stamps as with all Elizabeths work they are stunning.

After that long preamble I will get down to writing about todays card, It is my birthday next month so I thought I would surprise the family by actually making invitation cards this year instead of just arranging our get together on the telephone, (not sure what we will be doing yet). I have used Whiff of Joy - Henry Party Mouse and coloured hin with Distress Inks & SU re-inkers. The fabulous party papers are from the DCWV Sweet Pad, the sentiment stamp is from Whiff of Joy- Part Animal Sentiment Collection designed by Katharina herself. I have used 2 Forever Friends stamps for the Cupcake and Present. The Ribbons are from the fabulous Poppicrafts.

The inside is decorated with more DCVW papers and I added little Henry under his Party Hat which has again been coloured as above. Of course I couldn't do a card without using my MSDP, the corner is a Sizzix Die

Stamp with Stampavie

Another sketch challenge for you on Stamp with Sarah Kay check out the blog for the sketch and to see the great cards created by my fellow DT members, just click Here and come and join us.

I realised I haven't used my older Sarah Kay stamps for quite some time so dug this little beauty out from the bottom of the Box. She has been coloured with Copics, I also noticed whilst checking my blog yesterday that I have been using an awful lot of pink these last few weeks, so for a change I have gone for blue for this card. The papers are from the very bottom of my scrap drawer and I am afraid I havn't the foggiest idea who they are made by. The scrummy lace was a RAK from the lovely Bev. The flowers and pearls are all from stash. The swirls are stamps by Stempleglede.

Once again I have decorated the inside of the card The Lovely Rose and Sentiment stamp are also from Stempleglede

A Sweet Valentine and a Pretty Pink Pixie

There is another challenge for us at Sugar Bowl Challenge this week and this one is a recipe,

3 papers and 3 embellishments

I really loved doing this one although only using 3 embellies took me out of my comfort zone. Remember you can use any Sugar Nellie Stamps for this one. Don't forget to read the rules for joining in this challenge carefully.

I have used a Sugar Nellie Leanne Ellis Stamp for this Valentine card, these stamps are so different and I think quite classy and modern. She has been coloured with Distress Inks and matted onto Brown and Pink card. The beige papers are from the new Pink Petticoat "Just an Old Fashion Girl" CD, and the pink paper is from my scraps. The 3 embellies I have used are Rach's Fabulous Raffia Ribbon, Flat Back Pearls and a mixture of flowers. The hearts were cut with an Original Sizzix die.

A Close up of the image, I have watercoloured around the edges of the square with distress ink very diluted.

I carried the papers through to the inside, and added a verse found on the internet.

Magnolia vs Stampavie - BOWS

Bows are the great Challenge this week on Magnolia vs Stampavie, Donna would like to see Bows of any kind on your creations. There is also a great prize this week a £10 voucher donated by Wendy from Secret Crafter to spend on the Secret Crafter On-line Shop.
There are some fabulous bows to be seen on the cards created by my fellow DT members and if you want to see a real dream of a bow check out
BEVS fabulous Ribbon Blossom on her card. To view the DT Cards and find out more about this weeks Challenge just click Here

I have been quite creative with this one, I first stamped the Flower image then masked the stalk and stamped the mushrooms over the flower, I stamped and cut out Pixie Alva and 3d her onto the flower. All the images have been coloured with copics. I used Nestie Labels to matt the image on to, and the DP are a mixture from my scrap box drawer again, I am really being good using up these scraps. The sunflower charm was bought on e-bay, ribbon is from stash. The corner has been cut with a Cuttlebug die.

I have used more of the papers inside, the Toadstools are another Magnolia stamp and have also been coloured with copics. The sentiment is an SU stamp

Well if you are still here Thanks for looking and I hope you have liked what you have seen. Have a good Week

Penny Black and A Spoonful of Sugar

Dottie & Morning Blues - Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Morning everyone. I have now not had a ciggie for 48 hours, but I have developed a really rotten cold, (is this anything to do with giving up I ask myself). Anyway I am not missing it too much at the moment, hope it goes on like that.

Well its Saturday and that means its time to play
Penny Black Saturday Challenge, and this week we have a topic that suits me fine "DOTTIE", we would like to see your dotty and spotty creations, and our own dear Kath has donated this weeks Prize, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check out the DT cards and join us in this dotty challenge.

This little star has been coloured with Copics and matted onto Green and Pink Base card, the papers are Basic Grey, the small dotty one is from the new released pad "Bittersweet" which I found whilst browing the Glitterpot website. I crocheted the flower and add a gold centre and brad. The crown brad and ribbon are from poppicraft. The little glass sentiment says Sister but the flash reflected off the glass so it doesn't show up.

I carried the "Bittersweet" papers on to the inside and the swirls are by Stempleglede.

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 43 - Have a Giggle

What a great theme this is, great Idea girls to cheer us up after christmas and to take our minds of the doom and gloom of the economic outlook, and some brilliant cards from you this week. To join the challenge and see the fabulous DT cards just click Here

The fabulous humourous stamps I have used for this card all come from the Ethel & Murray stamp sets I bought from Ideal World the other week, there are two sheets of stamps, which include men and women and some fabulous sentiments, these are just ideal for older friends cards, as long as you know they have a good sense of humour.

This looks just like me in the mornings (minus the curlers), it takes me ages to become human in the morning at least 4 cups of tea (and it used to be at least 4 ciggies). I received a lovely Christmas Present from my dearest friend Donalda she sent me 12 SU re-inkers, I have been waiting for a chance to use them and these stamps are perfect. I used the SU reinkers and H20's to colour but still used tattered rose distress ink for the skin tones. Thanks Donalda they are fabulous to colour with, I love them.

I used another Ethel image for the inside of the card as I really wanted to show you as many as I could. She has been coloured by the same method. Both the sentiments are from the stamp sets. Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did

I cannot believe its Thursday already, where has this week gone. I have been so busy making samples for Crafters Companion Monday TV show on Create and Craft, and I haven't been going
to bed until the early hours, I have been trying to keep up with answering everyone who has commented but if I haven't visited you this week please forgive me I will try to get round to you as soon as these samples go off tomorrow.

Well its time for
Lili of the Valley Challenge again. This week we have another great sketch from our very own talented Donalda, and a chance for one of you to be Guest Designer for 2 weeks, so if you would like to see the cards made by our talented DT members and join in the Challenge this week just click HERE

A bit of a change from me this week, I havn't done any decoupage for ages and really enjoyed cutting out and 3ding this lovely little Primrose Fairy from Lili of the Valley, I have added Glamour Dust to her wings and the edge of her dress, she comes in a pack with 6 other cute little fairies and some great backgrounds. I have used a mixture of my scrap papers again, I know a couple of them are Basic Grey and the Stripe one is a Summer Driggs Download. Look at my fabulous raffia Ribbon that was a RAK from my very dear friend the fabulous Rach, I have been drooling over this ribbon for ages so thank you so much Rach Mwah!!!!. The rest from stash.

A view of the 3ding, I used Pinflair Glue and shaped the different layers
