Cutie Pie

Sketch Saturday Challenge

I was beginning to think I wouldn't have time to enter my Favourite challenge this week, I hate missing Sketch Saturday the sketches are so inspiring.

I was a bit late in ordering my Sugar Nellie Manga Kids, and only managed to get 2 the rest had sold out, cannot wait for them to come back in if these 2 are anything to go by. I have coloured her with Copics. AS I have been saying I had a real good tidy up of my crafting stash and have found lots of goodies I had forgotten I had so have used some of them on here i.e the flowers and fluffy braid.

Quite Plain inside.

Recipe:
Stamp: Manga Kids from Funky Kits, Sentiment PB
Papers - from Bunny Zoes Crafts
Colouring Medium - Copics on Manga Art Board
Embellies - from stash

The lovely Willow is coloured with Distress Inks, I have also distressed the papers with Tim Holtz distressing tool then sponged the edges with Frayed Burlap Inks, I rubbed over the lace doiley with a used teabag to give it a old lace look.

Another cute Bildmalarna for this challenge, she is one from the Christmas collection available from Bunny Zoes Crafts. Used the Fleur de Lys Nesties again fro this card, just a warning they are very difficult to release from the die so do be careful.

I have double layerd the Fleur de Lys on the inside, I still have not got into the attic to get out my Christmas Stash, so I will have to wait to put a sentiment in the middle.

Sweet Friendship

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

SOFT & SWEET
This week we'd like something Soft & Sweet on your projects... now this came be soft papers, soft textures, sweet images, sweet papers... the choice is yours... so get those thinking caps on.
And we are sure there's going to be a lot of interpretations for this one and look forward to seeing what you create..

I have just noticed that the buttefly in the corner looks the completely wrong green in the photos, don't know why as IRL it is a perfect match. These two little vintage PB friends shout out sweet to me, so have tried to capture that in the soft colours I have used to colour them.

Sorry this is another Quick Post but it is the Homecoming Parade for the Princess of Wales Regiment they will be marching through Canterbury this morning after their long stint in Afghanistan and Iran, I am going to just show support, something I wish the government would do! how can they send our young men out there with not enough, or the wrong equipment, it is beyond believe. Rant Over.

I decided to use my Distress Inks and H20's to colour my lovely Tilda this week only a few colours were needed, Broken China, Antique Linen were used for her dress, Tattered Rose for flesh, Tea Dye for her hair and Black Soot for the key. Inky Impressions Challenges

The Challenge this week on Inky Impressions Challenges is Stitching, either Faux or Real, well I had to go for faux again.

When the Postman delivered these little babies it almost!!! made up for me not getting my beloved Magnolias (sorry to keep on about it and thanks to everyone who has offered to send me some images, much appreciated), I would like you to say hello to Lili, this stamp is called Lili's Secret and is one of 4 I received today, didn't take me long to ink these up did it.

Lili has been coloured with COPICS completely different colours for me again, but I found this paper I had printed ages ago from a Fee-J designs CD and just loved the maroon and grey together. I have made some more of those great flowers I found on Stampartic as I wanted quite plain embellies so Lili stood out more.

I have carried the papers on to the inside of the card

Recipe:
Stamp - Lilis Secret from Inky Impressions
Colouring medium - COPICS
Papers - Fee-J Designs CD
Tools Nesties and Pine Branch punch from The Hobby House

A Smile and a Roar

I Really wanted to join in the The Next Level Challenge last week but time run out, so I was determined to get it done early this week. There is a great sketch to follow and they would like to see 3d on your card. Thanks girls had real fun with this Challenge.

Our Guest Stamper on Just Magnolia Tutorial Challenge this month is Debby from A Scrapjourney, and her tutorial is on how she makes those wonderful 3d cards that wow us all. So this challenge from The Next Level was perfect for trying out her tutorial, I am quite pleased with my first attempt.

Sad news first I have heard from Magnolia about not receiving my Summer Kit, they said my Yearly subscription run out so I was not going to get the Summer Kit Sob Sob!!!, I have begged them to let me pay for a kit but have not heard back from them yet. I wish they let you knew when to re-new your subscription.

Anyway after all these pre-amble onto todays card, luckily a very lovely friend copied me some of the new Magnolias so I have used my favourite two from the kit, they have been coloured with COPICS and 3d. I have edged around the image with Distress Ink and cut the circles with Nesties, The papers are a Sweete Shoppe Download, I think it is Bloom and Grow.

The Sentiment was cut with the Nesties again. I found the lovely Pins on my embellishment at Tabby Craft, Tab has some lovely new items on the site please go and take a look.

I tried to take a photo of the 3d but couldn't get it quite right will keep practising.

Lili of the Valley would like to see ANIMALS on your creations this week. The Dt have made some fantastic examples for you to get some inspiration.

The Lili of the Valley Website have some fantastic Summer Offers at the moment, including all stamps at £2.00, Promarkers at £1.75, and if you have seen their show on Ideal World and Create and Craft you will have seen their fabulous new Animal and Monster range, these are also now available on the website, so why not go and visit the site today, just click Here. Don't forget it is not necessary to use LOTV projects on your entry but if you do have any of their stamps or images it would be lovely to see your cards.

I Have used the High Hopes Lion for my card this week, he has been locked up in his cage for ages, almost forgot I had him, must start too use my High Hopes stamps again. Leo has been coloured with COPICS, the Papers are Basic Grey and the Buttons and Ribbons are all From Bunny Zoes Crafts.

Christmas in July - Whiff of Joy Challenge

Something completely different for you this week on Whiff of Joy Challenge PAPER PIERCING, wow it is ages since I did any of this but I think I will start using it again I love the effect. The lovely Heidi from Simon Says Stamps is our very generous sponsor this week, thank you Heidi.

Don't forget you can order your lovely Whiff of Joy Fall Kit, with some beautiful stamps by Elizabeth Bell, from 17th July, I cannot wait to see this new collection, especially after seeing the sneak peek on Katharinas Blog.

First of all thank you for the lovely supportive messages I have received from you, how lucky am I to have such caring and sweet blogging buddies, you did cheer me up although I am afraid Mr Mojo has not been kind and has decided to stay away.

This card has not turned out at planned, Once I had stamped the image and started to colour, I found out that C0, C01, C02 Copics had run out, I do so wish you got some warning of when they going to run out. I have re-ordered the refills now so hopefully they will be with me today. Willows dress is therefore darker than I had envisaged, but I think its OK. I have pierced the corners of the image following a stencil, I found in my stash.

Oh I just love my new Fleur de Lis Nestie, I am afraid the original idea of decorating the inside of the card with it is not mine it is something I "borrowed" from my dearest friend Tab, these Nesties are available from Simon Says Stamps with lots of other delicious designs, that web site is like an Aladdins Cave I love visiting it.

Recipe:
Stamp - WEillow from Winter Collection 2008 from Whiff of Joy
Colouring Medium - Copics
Papers - DCVW
Tools - Fleur de Lis Nestie from Simon Says Stamp, Snowflake Die for the Cuttlebug

Whilst I am on here I would like to remind you that we have the fantastic Debby400 as our featured stamper on Just Manolia Technique Challenge this month please go and check out the wonderful tutorial she has done for us on the way she does her awesome 3d cards.
