Late Again!!!!

Lili of the Valley Challenge

For this weeks challenge we have a sketch for you to follow, we know how much you all enjoy sketches. Hope to see lots of entries again this week. We are looking for a Guest Designer, chosen by the DT members, to join us for the next 4 challenges, so if you are interested please add GDT to the end of your comments on the Challenge Blog.

But remember it is not necessary to use Lili of the Valley Products on your card (although of course we love it when you do).

The Dt have again produced some stunning cards so just click Here, to see the creations and hopefully join us.

I have gone for a subtle colour scheme on this card to match the gorgeous Magnolia Christmas Papers. I have coloured the fabulous Lili of the Valley Christmas Stamp with Distress Inks (Surprise, surprise!). The Beige flowers were bought at the NEC from the Magnolia Stand, and the little pink roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Pearls are from Hobbicrafts and the gorgeous sumptuous lace is from a selection from our own dear Tab's website Tabby Crafts

I have some great news to tell you today, I don't know how I have kept it quite for the last 2 weeks, I had a lovely e-mail from Kathy the Designer and owner of Peachy Keen Stamps asking me if I would like to join the Design Team, even though I had decided not to take on any more DT work, I just couldn't resist and had to say yes. I have already told you how I just love the Cute faces Kathy adds to her wonderful characters and they all have a bit of humour with them they are just irresistible.

On to this weeks Challenge We have its a recipe challenge for you this week. The challenge is to use the following:

* stamped image(s)

That's it!! Talk about letting your imagination run wild. Be sure to post your link before December 15th so you can be entered for the prize.

So this is my first card for the Peachy Keen Challenge, and I have chosen one of the fantastic stamps Kathy sent me in my DT pack, she just appealed to my sense of humour. She has been coloured with Distress inks. The Papers are from the Christmas Range from Magnolia. Opppppps!!!!

I have had an extremely busy weekend and have not managed to even step into my craft room over the weekend, so didn't realise that 2 posts I sheduled had not appeared. I have combined them both this morning!!!!

This card is another just for fun, when i received these cute stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps, I just couldn't wait to stamp them up, the one thing I love about all of Kathys stamps is the wonderful faces she draws, they all make me smile just looking at them.

I have coloured So Funny Snowman, Christmas Tree, and Winters for the birds with Distress inks. The papers were all laying on my desk (I really must tidy it up),

The MS Snowflake Punches and Icicle border punch have been used, as well as lots of Glimmer Dust and Flat Back Pearls.

Wags'n Whiskers Challenge

This weeks Challenge was set by our fantastic teamie Jeanette, and is to use traditional Christmas Colours.

Now I know traditional colours would normally be Red and Green, but I love to use Blue and Pinks on my Christmas Cards, so I have taken a liberty with the theme and used MY traditional colours. What a fabulous little Girls card Sweet Danni and Bella makes.

She has been coloured with copics. I have run the blue card through the Holly Cuttlebug embossing folder before using the Nestie to cut it out. The Paper is by Kaisercraft. And the MS Snowflake Border Punch has been used.

Christmas Joy

Just Magnolia Challenge

Firstly we have some news, some sad and some good! Kim, Martine and Rach have sadly had to step down from the DT due to other commitments. Thanks so much for all your fabulous work and support ladies – you will be hugely missed. Which brings me to a little announcement. Jacque, Sheila and Jane have joined our team!! Welcome aboard ladies, we’re thrilled that you have agreed to join us.

This week we have a sketch by Martine for you to follow and a great prize from this weeks sponsor The Cutting Cafe

What a morning its been and its not even 10am, we had a power cur last night and for some reason it has damaged Mums TV and our Sky connection, I cannot get an engineer until next Wednesday, TV is my biggest help as it keeps Mum amused and allows me to get on with things and without it I Can see myself spending all my time downstairs and not getting up here very much. ROLL ON Wednesday.

Enough moaning today I have used Tilda is off to a Christmas Party at Edwins would love to know what she has bought him!!! She has been coloured with Distress Inks and the papers are Magnolias Christmas Release. I have used Martha Stewart Snowflake Birder Punch and a little label stamp that I have no Idea where it comes from but glad I found it as I can see me using it again. Flowers are usual are from Tabbycrafts and Wild Orchid Crafts.

Will be back later with my Wags'n Whiskers DT card, and Sunday I should have some Candy to celebrate Advent for you.

Bev sent me this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp ages ago and I just haven't had time to use it, she has been coloured with Distress Inks, these Bo Bunny papers were still on my desk after using them on Tuesday (what a bad housekeeper I am), and they gave me the ideas for the colours. The Flowers have been frosted with Pearl Glimmer Mist just for that extra shine.

Making the most of what I have got

Whiff of Joy Challenge

It's Wednesday and we are back with another challenge for you.
Love all the entry's this last week with Gio's sketch, I know she was thrilled to see her sketch used in so many different ways.

First did you all see the sale going on at Whiff of Joy !!! Yes you heard me right there is a big sale going on and until December 20th you will get 20% off of all WINTER and CHRISTMAS Stamps (while supplies last) so hurry over and get your order in before they are gone.

This week we have a challenge for you of making a Christmas Card. Easy Peasy!!!
Just remember there is only 1 rule you must use a Whiff of Joy Stamp.

I have some sad news , our dear Rachel is stepping down and leaving us. We are going to miss her so much but dear I do hope you will join us from time to time. Mwah xxxx

I hope everyone in the USA has a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow.

You must have wondered about the title of this post, I am still without my Copics and Distress Inks and was thinking I would not be able to make a DT card for this challenge, when a light suddenly went on in my poor simple brain!!!!! "I have my Prismas". I havn't used these for ages and really need to get some lessons from our dear Tab, so I am afraid this is a bit of a makeshift card, I am not really happy with it.

The papers are Kaisercraft and along with the Spacers and Pearl Brads all come from The Hobby House.

Hope to be back at some time today if my Inks and Markers arrive.

So, it will be good from the 24th until the 30th november if you would like to take advantage of this offer click on the whimsy banner to take you directly to the store and this is the code you will need to use when ordering ASFOS10
Thanks so much for this Denise

I was getting really bad withdrawal symptoms from blogging and although I am still without my Copics and Distress Inks I just had to get a card up on here. Fortunately I have a folder of images I have coloured and not used and after searching through it came up with this lovely image by Mo from Mo's Digital Pencil which almost meets the challenge although it has a little bit of mauve in it.

Well I had the most fantastic 4 days in Darlington, learnt lots of new techniques from some extremely talented demonstrators and most importantly caught up with lots of friends and spent 4 days laughing until I couldn't laugh anymore. Yes PAT!!! I have seen the photo on your blog and I would like to stress that it was only Coca Cola in the glass. I did demo's on Copic and Distress Ink colouring and I think made quite a few converts to both mediums.

Onto this little card, the lush papers are by Bo Bunny and are glittered and embossed to perfection, the image has been coloured with Copics, the flowers were once white but have been sprayed with Creme de Chocolat Glimmer mist with Stardust stickles around the edge. I was a bit impatient to get this up on the blog, just to get my fix, and couldn't wait for the stickles to dry it looks a lot better now it is dry!!!!

Well hope to get around to all of your blogs at sometime today I have really missed visiting you all.
