Hoppy Easter

003a

I had a DT package from Peachy Keen plop through my letter box earlier this week and look what I found inside the most gorgeous cute Bunnies and Chicks, I just had to use them and thought what a great Easter Card and matching Basket they would make as all the stamps came in 2 sizes it was so easy to match them perfectly.

001Card and Basket together, what a good match the stamps are

003

I coloured the images with Copics and added lots of Glamour Dust.  The papers are by DoCrafts Hunny and Hugs, I bought them because they were just so sweet, then when I got them home couldn’t think of what to do with them, but they are perfect for this card, or so I think.

I followed the sketch on Sketch Saturday so I will enter it for the challenge.

005 Here is one side of the basket, I created a tutorial for this sweet and easy basket which will take you about 5 minutes to make,  you can find the tutorial here.

006 Don’t forget to pop over to Peachy Keen Stamps to view the rest of the cute Little Bunnies and Chicks.

Happy Easter

003a

Where has the lovely spring gone its wet and cold down here in Kent, but I suppose thats better than the snow our friends in Scotland are experiencing.  Oh dear another Magnolia Card for you today 3 in a row!!! hope you are not fed up with seeing them.

I think I can enter this card for 3 challenges Fussy and Fancy, Simon Says Stamp and Cute Card Thursday (Dimension).

003

I managed to get most of the housework done yesterday and even did some blog hopping this afternoon, I will be back to hopping after I have posted this card and done a DT card for Thursday.

I am loving this years Easter Collection of images and Papers from Magnolia, I have combined 2 images here the lovely basket and Tilda with eggs which has been 3d onto the basket.  I have used Distress Inks again to colour the images

Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Worn Lipstick for face, Black Soot and Brushed Corduroy for hair, Chipped Sapphire and Victorian Velvet for Flowers, Ribbon and Dress, Frayed Burlap for basket.

The papers and flowers are from Magnolia, I have added lots of Glitter and Liquid pearls but the camera hasn’t really picked them up properly.

Easter Bunny Girl

002b

Oh dear I have no will power at all!!!, I intended to do all the housework and washing today and not to craft until tomorrow but as I was putting all my lovely NEC purchases away I suddenly found myself sitting at my desk colouring these fabulous new Easter Tildas, I think I must have an alter ego that takes over as soon as it sees new crafty stash.

I had a fabulous 3 days at the NEC and it was wonderful to meet up with so many friends, too many to mention but you know who you are  I wish we could all get together more often I think I enjoy meeting everyone as much as the shopping, and of course being with dear Bev was the best, we had a great hotel and wonderful food.  We also meet Paul and Siri from Wild Orchid Crafts they are as charming in real life as they seem on the website and are so helpful.  You must check out their website this week they have some new packs of roses which they will sell in assorted packs and also some new colours in the Cherry Blossoms.

002

I am entering this card for this weeks challenge on Friday Sketchers Challenge it is a fabulous sketch by the wonderful Jeanette, loved it Jeanette thanks Hunxxx.

I have coloured Tilda and the eggs with Distress Inks and edged around the image with matching inks and whilst they were still wet I added some pale gold embossing powder and heat embossed, I really like the results.  The tulips are from Magnolia and the Leaf  Branch is a punch I picked up at The Hobby House stall as was the doily.

002a Well I suppose I had better get back to the washing, housework and of course cook dinner.  See you tomorrow

Flowers for Mum

009b

We have a fabulous sketch for you this week on Just Magnolia Challenge designed by our very own Jane. Do hope you can come and join us.

007 I don’t think I have done justice to Janes fabulous Sketch but after rushing to finish all those cards i think Mr Mojo has decided I have been taking him for granted and has disappeared  to punish me, I really struggled even to colour this fabulous little Tilda.  She has been coloured with Distress Inks and I have used Magnolias new release papers.  The flowers are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts  and Pearls are by Prima.

I just have to say a big thank you to Magnolia-licious  I ordered some Magnolia stamps from them the other week and not only was the delivery unbelievably fast but they also included a few little extras in my package, it was such a lovely surprise and such a nice thing to do so thank you very much!!!!

007a

By the time you read this I should be well on the way to Birmingham, hope I meet lots of you there , really looking forward to catching up with some old friends and meeting some more new ones

Big Hugs to you all

We have a wonderful prize for you for this challenge. The wonderful Simon Says Stamp has kindly donated this lovely set for one lucky person. Accessories and Sentiments

So please come and join us this week at Whiff of Joy Challenge we just love seeing your wonderful creations.

009 With the NEC in mind I thought I would use this stunning Whiff of Joy City Girls Collection by Elizabeth Bell as I know this is how loaded I am going to be by the end of my visit.  She has been coloured with copics and the fabulous papers are by Basic Grey, I think they are Stellas Letters.  The flowers and Photo corners are from the new Tim Holtz collection.

Flower Fairies – Colouring Sheets

flowerfariesartworka

Well as I told you earlier today I wiped out all my February and March cards so I am unable to show you any of the cards I made for the Launch of the Crafters Companion Flower Fairies of  The Garden on Ideal World tonight, but by luck I had kept pictures of the original colouring sheets I coloured for the large Sample boards of the stamps for the show.

I don’t usually show these colouring sheets, but as I have no cards for you I thought maybe these sheets would help you with your colouring if you buy the stamps.

flowerfariesartwork

I have used copics on all of these sample plates and I have kept a list of the copics I used, but as you can imagine there are so many colours this post would just go on and on if I list them, but if you would like to know the colours just e-mail me and I will send you the list.

I apologise for the poor quality of the pictures but they were originally taken just for me to keep a record and I never thought I would post them to the blog.

If you would like to get your hands on these fabulous stamps they will be available from Crafters Companion website from Thursday Morning.

Peachy Keen Challenge

001b

Hi and a Happy Tuesday to you all today I have a DT card for Peachy Keen Challenge for you, this weeks challenge is a fabulous sketch which I am afraid I have tweaked a bit. Pop over to the website and see the fabulous creations by my fellow DT divas and check out the fabulous prize on offer.

001

This has always been one of my absolutely favourite stamps she is just so versatile and as with all Peachy Keen stamps has the most adorable face.  I have coloured her with Copics, I muddled up my card and stamped on the wrong make so the colours have not blended as well as usual, serves me right should put stuff  away as soon as  use it.

The papers are from my scrap drawer and the sentiment is computer generated.  I think you can see I have stamped and coloured the image 3 times and 3d her.

002

I meant to post the card using Crafters Companion Flower Fairies of the Garden stamps that will be released tonight on Ideal World, but this has just not been my week and whilst trying to tidy up my photo folders I deleted all February and March cards!!!!!!!!!!! would you believe it, just when I don’t have the time to put things right. Roll on the NEC I am so looking forward to having 3 days break.

Hugs and thanks for listening

The Good Shepherdess

006a

Would you believe Just Magnolia Challenge has been going for nearly a year now,  it seems like yesterday Bev and I came up with an idea for a Magnolia only challenge.  I always look forward to Fridays just for the chance to use my Magnolias.  We have a fabulous Challenge for you this week we would like you to make an Easel card, the only rule is you must use a Magnolia image somewhere on your card.  There are some fantastic examples of Easel Cards made by my fellow DT members on the challenge blog so please come and join us.

006

Can anyone tell me a good way to take photos of Easel Cards!!!

My new Magnolias arrived from Crafts U Love this week and I had to put them away without stamping up until last night as I just didn’t have the time to use them.  I can assure you that was really really difficult.  I coloured both the Tildas with the new Tim Holtzs Distress Inks which I bought  from Crafters Companion .

011

The papers are also new release from Magnolia from Crafts U Love they are gorgeous!!! the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I cannot help thinking that this Tildas head is rather too big for her body on the above image, it has been bugging me does anyone else agree?

010  Nothing wrong with the size of her head on this one, what a fabulous image this is.  The sentiment is also a Magnolia Waster release.

Have a great weekend

Spring has Sprung

012a

Whiff of Joy Challenge

Another easel card challenge for you this week, we know how much you enjoy making these stunning cards, I cannot think of a better way to show off our fabulous stamps than this style.  The Dt have made some amazing cards this week so please pop over and see them.

012

I am afraid it is a very simple card today, I just adore these Norma Fickel Stamps for Easter don’t you, and this one is just so funny.  of course the stam is from Whiff Of Joy and is called “Searching for Spring” and is available to buy on the website.

The papers are Basic Grey I know I am using these a lot but to be honest they are right beside my craft table and I have not got the time to go looking for papers at the moment and this sheet was an absolute perfect match anyway.  The Happy Easter Sentiment is by Magnolia and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, the fabulous bunny punch is by Martha Stewart.

Just a heads up if you haven’t got your  New Tim Holtzs  inks they are now in stock at Crafters Companion.

013

Right had better get back to making these 36 cards which have to be ready by Wednesday Night next week.

Just Popping By To Say hello

005a

As the title says I am just popping in to let you know I am still alive and kicking (just ;) ) .  No Challenge cards for you today just a couple that I made up last week.

005 I thought I had got on top of things, but then I had a phone call and now I am up to my ears in two new projects, so please accept my apologies if I have not visited your blogs and thanked you for your fab comments, or even answered your e-mails, I am working most nights until at least 1.30 and then I just crawl into bed.

This first card is the release from Sweet Pea stamps for Haiti Relief, I think she is just beautiful and her eyes just express what I feel about the terrible disaster.  She has been coloured with Copics and the papers are Basic Grey, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts .

004

Now another Cute Bear

001a Another sneak peek of the Lili of the Valley stamps that are due to be released on 21st April.

001He has been coloured with Copics.  These new Bear stamps cover so many occasions and really are the cutest bears I have ever worked with, I am so looking forward to seeing what you make of them.  If you are going to Ally Pally you will be able to buy them there and get in first.

002  Once again sorry for my lack of commenting, I hope to have some cards to show you next week of what I was working on last month, and will try to make some me time to visit you all at the weekend.

Take Care and thanks for all your lovely comments and encouragement

Hugs Jacqui x
