I am back–Sorry for being AWOL
Its Lili of the Valley Time again, where do these weeks go, cannot believe it will be July tomorrow, this week we have the theme of Celebrate on Lili of the Valley Challenge, please pop over to the blog and check out the wonderful creations by the DT.
Now I know its a shock to see a card with not a flower, ribbon or lace in sight but thought I would go for the Plain and Simple look today and for a change I quite like it, but don’t think you will see too many of these on here, as I am typing this I am getting the urge to just add a couple of flowers and a bow to it lol.
The papers are from Nitwits Collections, I have used a MS Border Punch (the first one I ever owned) and a few pearls, but have added interest by lifting each layer with sticky pads.
Short and Sweet but should be back full steam tomorrow

Walkies
I think I must have wanted to use every embellishment I had when I made this card as it is rather over crowded. The Lovely Little “Emma - Walkies” from Lili of the Valley Summer Girls release has been coloured with Copics (again another of the advertising colouring, so no Copics Nos. sorry). I have used Bev’s Cloud tutorial to colour the sky, think I still need a bit of practise on this. The Ticket is from Lili of the Valley Grunge Ticket Stamps from the Clear Additions Range.
The Flowers are a mixture of Prima, Marianne Designs and Wild Orchid Crafts, I am loving this Marianne Designs Roses which are available from Crafts U Love, I have tucked a Doily cut with the Waltzing Matilda Lace Doily Die from Dies to Die for behind the image. The papers are by Panduro Tilda Fruit Garden Pad. Key, Ball Chain and Key are by Tim Holtzs.
Ok Girls I am off to catch some rays, have a good Sunday

Have you been watching Jayne Nestorenko and Leann Chivers on Create and Craft demonstrating the New Summer Adorables Range designed by Jayne and Crafters Companion, if so you will know it has been a tremendous success, I am not surprised, when I first saw these images and the CD I just knew this release had tapped into so many memories for so many people that everyone would want to get their hands on it.
This card is made with papers from the CD and the image and background are from one of the two stamp sheets accompanying the CD on the fantastic offer on Create and Craft, as I am writing this I think this offer is on Limited Stock.

A Surfeit of Butterflies
Morning all, After a fantastic Day with my dear GS Charlie I came home and realised I hasn’t made my DT card for the Just Magnolia & hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge Blog which this week is hosted by the very lovely Pops. Pops has chosen as her theme Butterflies just perfect for me. We have been sponsored by The Ribbon Girl and Quixotic paperie this week.
I did go a bit overboard with the butterflies, but just had to use the Magnolia Backing Paper. Love this little Tilda and the Dog Rose stamp also by Magnolia has been laying at the bottom of my Magnolia Accessories box for ages, thought it was time I let it see the light of day again. The sentiment is from Tim Holtzs Adage Pad. I used a mixture of ProMarkers and Copics to colour Tilda, I just couldn’t get the right green with Copics.
Colour's used on Tilda:
Dress and Boots: Grey Green, Soft Green, Tea Green PROMARKERS
Apron: R22, R21, R01, R00
Flesh: E02, E01, E00, E000
Hair: E70, E42, E40
Now I have a little bit of ProMarker News for you, this week I received a little package from Letraset which contained what I thought was spare lids!!!, but they were much more than spare lids it is a new product that can be used to enhance our ProMarkers and make them even more versatile. Here it is
A very fine nib that just clicks over the bullet nib of your promarker as shown , here is a close up picture of the nib in place.
I used it on the little tiny Butterfly on todays image, it was perfect, I thought it might be a bit scratchy but the ink flowed really well and got into those small areas of the butterfly with out any bleeding, well done Letraset I know these are going to be a boon to us.
Shopping List for Today Card
Stamps – Magnolia, Magnolia Backing paper, Gold and Crystal Glamour Dust all available from Crafts U Love
Fan Lace from The The Ribbon Girl,
Rest from Stash

Another of the great new Girls Releases for you today Summer Days, such little cuties, the sentiment is from the Happy Circular Sentiment sheet also from Lili of the Valley. The background paper is by Magnolia, the floral paper is from my scrap box. Sneak Peek 2
Sorry I didn’t get back to give more details yesterday as promised, my morning out turned into a marathon. Today I have my second sneak peek of Jayne Nestorenkos Summer Adorables collection for Crafters Companion, the brand new range is being launched this Friday and this time it consists of twelve A6 unmounted stamp sets, depicting childhood scenes from summers gone by, and an accompanying CD-ROM.
I have used the Figure from the Garden Set of stamps and have coloured him with copics. I used Bev’s tutorial (thanks dear xx), to colour the clouds in the background, loved doing them and so pleased with the finish. The papers are from the accompanying CD which is full of the most usable papers in delicious colours, a lot of work has gone into the backing papers to make sure each set of papers tones with each other which makes it so easy when making your cards.
I still have quite a bit of behind the scenes work on at the moment, but hope to be back to full time blogging etc after the middle of July.

Just Magnolia and hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge
Happy Friday everyone Friday means Just Magnolia and hÄnglar & stÄnglar Challenge! . We have a fab sponsor this week the lovely Ytacey from Dies to Die For, as I am sure you know one of my favourite websites and the first stopping place when I need a little crafty spend.
And now for this weeks challenge we are hosted by Michelle and she has chosen a fabulous theme - Paper Piecing, dress up your images by using patterned paper to dress or enhance your image! Now is the time to put that pretty dress on your Tilda! Or to give Edwin a handsome shirt! Whatever you can come up with we want you to have some fun with your pattern paper and your images.
Love these little Summer H&S images, I want a sunsuit like hers. I used Bo Bunny Papers through out this card, the clothes were made from two sides of a double sided sheet, I have added Glamour Dust to the little dots on her suit. The Tim Holtzs Adage Tag has been framed with another Tim Holtzs product I love these frames, had them ages, but they were put away and I forgot about them. The circular sentiment was cut out from the paper, and the Crystal Swirl was from a Crystal Flourish from the Ribbon Girl .
The flowers are a real mixture, the large white flower is from a Prima Set, the little Green Babys Breath is from Local Dressmaking shop, and the gorgeous white material rose is by Marianne Designs from Crafts U Love, they have lots of colours in these roses and they are my new must have. The Loose Weave Cheesecloth is a present from a dear friend.
Thanks for looking and have a great Friday

Lili of the Valley Challenge
Ohh I am so tired this morning cannot seem to wake up just want to go back to bed. There is a new challenge posted on the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog this morning and we have a fun theme for you “Bring on the Music”.
I have hit a crafting brick wall this week, no inspiration and Mojo has gone on holiday again, a lovely friend has given me a couple of good suggestions to get the juices flowing again so I will be trying them today. The first step is to move out of my comfort zone so here is BRIGHT something I have never tried before.
My pieces of music may be a bit too old for many of you to remember “Tea for Two” and although the girlies here are actually called “Coffee Break” , I think this image fits the title perfectly. The papers have been in my stash box forever so cannot remember who they are by but they were the inspiration for this card. I have tucked a sheet of music stamped with the Lili of the Valley Grunge Music Stamp behind the image, the ribbon is also something I have had for years. The flowers are a mixture of Wild Orchid Craft Flowers and little material ones from C&H Fabrics. The Sentiment is computer generated and the Musical Notes are a Die-namics Die from Dies to Die For .
Copics used:
Reds: R29, R35, R22, R21, R11
Blues: B02, B000, B0000
Yellows: YR20, YR02, YR00
Greens: YG07, YG05, YG01
Grey: C9, C8, C6, C3, C00
Flesh: E01, E00. E000

3 for Dad
After all the girls on here this last week, I thought it was time the boys had a look in especially with Fathers Day coming up on Sunday, so for a change I had a play today to try to come up with 3 cards just using the one image. You know how much I love making Mens cards (Pinocchio has nothing on me my nose is now enormous), I have loved colouring the little bear but its embellishments that have me stumped, would love to hear how you manage to embellish your Male cards, any tips gratefully received .
The first card using Lili of the Valley “Dads the Word” Stamp was coloured with Copics as usual, but I have decoupaged the Head, Tie, Arm, Tummy and letter D, it doesn't show up very well here but looks good IRL. The papers are from a Nitwits Download, the frame surrounding the image is a Nestie. I have used the Fathers Day Sentiment from The Lili of the Valley Happy Circular Sentiment Sheet. The Buttons and Hammer Charm are from The Ribbon Girl.
Copics used:
Bear E53, E51, E50, Light Walnut Pencil.
Stool: E71, E70, E40
Reds; R29, R17, R05, R02, Blues: B21, B23, B24, B26, B28, Yellows: Y08, Y02, Y00
Tools: N3, N2, N1
The next Card is an Easel Card
Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink was used to stamp the image then I gently pulled out the still damp ink into the image with a damp brush. Brushed Corduroy Di was also used to distress the edge of the image. The paper is more of the delicious Maja Designs paper available from Crafts U Love and Dies to Die for. The same Lili of the Valley Fathers Day sentiment was used as above. I am loving the Memory Box Button Border Die and the Die-Namics Button Die I have used here they are also from Dies to Die For.
My Final card is again a Sepia Card but this time I stamped the image with Brown VersaFine Ink and used Tea Dye Distress Ink as a watercolour.
I couldn’t get a good photo it looks a bit washed out on here, the paper is from a 12x12 Double sided sheet from October Afternoon “Country Fair – Prize Pig” I stamped the Square Stamp from Cute as A Button Stamp Sheet twice opnce on backing paper and once on Brown card and wrote a little To-Do List, the Bulldog Clip is by Tim Holtzs. I used the Nestie Fleur Delay Die to cut the mat behind the image.
Hope these have given you some ideas on how versatile these stamps are.
See you soon and thanks for looking
Hugs
