Two Brilliant Days in the “North” and the Winner of my Candy

Bit late today posting today, had lots to catch up on.  Had a fantastic 2 days “Up North”, the weather was fantastic really sunny and warm, we had a brilliant drive up and back, Thanks Lin mwah xxx, after popping in to see everyone at Crafters Companion, it was too nice to go to the hotel so it was suggested we take a drive up to the Waterfall at High Force, so pleased we did it was spectacular as you can see from the picture below.

001

We almost had the place to ourselves, it was so tranquil.

The next day we spent colouring with our Spectrum Noirs  with some great friends old and new, we did lots of chatting and laughing but we did actually manage to get some crafting done.

004

Thank you all for such a fabulous time.

008

Here is one of the images I coloured, Opps I went over the line on her trousers, I have not added any pencils to the image yet.

Now its time to announce the  Winner of my Sweet Sugar Candy, I asked Mum to choose a number between  1-162,

she called out number 122 Louise ,

now I almost made a her choose another number as by pure chance this number belonged to Louise who was one of my fellow colourers in Darlington, but then that would have been unfair,  can you let me have your address Louise so I can get them off to you.

Have a good evening

As I it will be a 3.30am wake up call and away by 5am I am trying to get to bed really early tonight so as soon as this is scheduled I will be hitting the sack, please forgive me for another very short post.

It Lilis Little Fairies Challenge today and this week we have my favourite theme “Anything Goes”, we have been sponsored by the lovely peeps at Nitwits Collections with a voucher of $10 to spend on their website, so do hope you will come and join us.

I bought these Cheery Lynn Stackable Oval Doylies at the NEC and have been longing to use them, I am really pleased with how they cut and like this shape of card.  The Roses are all from The Hobby House and of course the stamp is from the Lili of the Valley Collection released yesterday and available on the website this one is called “Close your Eyes”, I usually have a favourite from each new release but this time it is really difficult I love them all, especially the Strawberry and Cupcake designs they are such countryfied images very Cath Kidston.

Sweet Love

Morning all,  I had a completely different day from what I intended yesterday, I woke up looking forward to making cards with all my new purchases, I started with the idea of putting all my new dies in see through pouches and filing them in the relevant box (I keep large dies in one box, small Nesties and Doily's in another and finally labels, flowers, swirls etc in another).  But when it came to putting them in the boxes I realised what an untidy crafter I am, most of the dies were just thrown into the box not in their pouches, its a wonder I can find anything, anyway 3 hours later they were all nice and tidy and in the relevant place, but the tidy bug had taken hold of me and I decided to sort out my charms into Girls, Boys, Corners, hearts etc, so it wasn’t until 4.3o that I finally got down to start stamping.

001

Here is my card, I just had to use one of the new Lili of the Valley Stamps from the release due out on the 28th March, it was a hard decision deciding which stamp to use as they are all awesome.   The Backing papers are from The Fairytale of Spring collection from Pion Designs available from Crafts U Love.   I have tucked a doily cut with a Cheery Lynn  French Pastry Doily Die from Dies to Die for. The Birdcage charm and Whimsey Stamps Celebrations Pennants Stamp are from The Hobby House.

004

Copics Used:

Aquas:  B01, B00, B000

Peach: R22, R21, R00

Boys Hair: Y26, YR21, Y23

Flesh: E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R32, R30

Shirt: E70, E42, E41

Hat: E71, E70, E40

Have a good day

A Present for Mum

Had a fabulous day at the NEC yesterday caught up with the lovely Burt, Ali, Louise, Marianne, Cathy, Lisa, Lynsey, Kath (minus) Buddy,   Lisa, Liala and Richard from LOTV, Jill from the Hobby House, all the Girls and of course Ross from Crafters Companion, spent more time gabbing than Spending, but did get all the new Lili of the Valley Stamps, cannot wait to stamp them up, more embellies, and a few more dies, and a couple of Tonic edge punches.

Its Mums birthday on the 28th of this month, it is so hard to think of what to buy for someone who is 89 &  has everything she needs, so as well as the usual clothes and underwear, I thought she might like a plant she could keep on the table beside her.  This week on Just Magnolia & hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge,  our Teamie Anne choose the theme “More than one Fold” , and I decided to make a container for Mums Plant.  This is not my idea I saw one of these containers made by Paula from Which Craft using their Tag and Squares pack, I am so pleased how it worked out.

001

The Mauves Gingham and Spot papers are by Craft Creations, I picked them up at Dies to Die for last time I was there. I have used a Doo Hickey Swirl Die cut from Mauve Co-Ordinations card , and the Polka Dot Rose is made with SpellBinder Die.

002

All the Tildas have been coloured with Copics numbers below.

004

Here is the other side of the container, as you can see I have used large flat back pearls on the two side panels these are from The Hobby House.

005

Copics Used:

Flesh: E13, E11, E00, E000, R35, R32
