Still Waiting for my Prince!!!

001a

I bet you are fed up with waiting for  me to answer you all and leave some comments, my intentions were good, until I had a phone call to ask me to make some cards for a Crafters Companion TV Launch that was scheduled for Mid-May but had been bought forward to next WEDNESDAY!!!!!!, talk about a rush, not sure where I am coming from at the moment!!!

Anyway this is my third card as a GDT for Sweet Stamping Challenge where this week you are asked to create a card to go with the Theme in stitches, either real or faux stitches or some thing humorous.  I have gone for Humorous, as I just love the look on Tilda and Prince Frogs faces and they make me smile, they both look really fed up!!!!

001

Managed to use 4 stamps from my Spring Kit on this one, which has been coloured with distress inks.  The window is the stamp that I was having trouble with but have built up the really thin side and managed to get an image not perfect but better than the first images I stamped.  Papers are by Magnolia and flowers of course from Wild Orchid Crafts.

018

Just Magnolia is one year old!  And to celebrate we are running a blog hop which is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Not only are they sponsoring the prize for the regular weekly challenge, there is also an amazing prize that has been sponsored by Simon Says Stamp for the blog hop.
The theme of this week's challenge is Thank-You.  For the DT this means a huge thank you to all our lovely followers and entrants each week and also to our amazingly generous sponsors for the fabulous prizes they put up each week.

justmagnoliaanniversarycandypic

Here is the prize for the blog hop supplied by our wonderful sponsors Simon Says Stamp, they will also be supplying our weekly candy as usual.  Some of the DT members will also be donating their own candy to every one who comments on their blog so you have 3 chances of winning this week, so make sure you come and join us,  the blog hop will start at  Just Magnolia Challenge Blog  and you should have arrived here from Jay jays blog and your next stop is Heather (Rica) Blog

Now down to this weeks Challenge we have a fabulous sketch by our very own Mina, it was a lovely sketch to work with Mina dear thanks so much,  you will see that some of the DT members have also made a little present to go with our cards this is our own present to Simon Says Stamp for their generosity to us all.

016 I received my Spring Magnolia Kit this week and of course couldn’t wait to play, but although I think this must be my favourite ever kit, I was really disappointed in the quality, in fact one side of the sheet was so thin I could not get it to stamp properly as one side was thicker than the other, I must say I was a bit miffed when I think how much we pay for the kit.

019

I must have taken 10 pictures just to get one descent one today, perhaps its the volcanic dust!!!!, Distress Inks have been used to colour Lady Tilda

Face and Hands – Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Worn Lipstick, Dress Victorian Velvet and Chipped Sapphire, Hair – Tea Dye and Frayed Burlap.

The papers are by Magnolia , Prima Pearl Swirls are from The Hobby House,  I made the With Love Label with the packaging of the pearls which I distressed with Frayed Burlap then punched with a Label Punch also from The Hobby House, the round Thank You Sentiment is by SU, of course the beautiful Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, what on earth did we do before we discovered WOC, (by the way there are some new Wild Roses on the website, Paul uploaded them last night, you had better be quick you know they don’t stay on there long).

Just had to say that I went over to Crafts U Love view the new Magnolia stamps due for release in early May OMG I fell in love especially with Fairy Dust and Ballerina Tilda, my purse is a bit lighter this morning.

014

Here is my little tin to hold some soaps I made for Heidi, I have used the Tiny Flying Tilda from the Spring Kit on here.

Well if you haven’t fallen asleep after reading all this I have one last Picture to show you this is my candy for the blog hop, I will draw a random number at the end of the hop.

015  So if you would like to be in with a chance to win this candy please advertise our blog hope on your blog and  just leave a comment with a link to your blog  on Mr Linky below.  Best of Luck and I do hope you enjoy the Blog Hop now don’t forget your next stop is Heather (Rica) Blog.

Sorry for my absence this week  both from blogging and commenting, I have loads of your e-mails to catch up on and I promise I will try to answer you all at some time today, I came home from Ally Pally with the most awful cold and I couldn’t get down to the chemist to get any Lemsips or Night Nurse, but in steps my fairy Godmother the fabulous kind Bev who actually sent them down to me by next day delivery, now could you get a better friend than that, thanks hun MWAH XXXXXX

I would also like to remind you that the fabulous Busy Bears Collection from Lili of the Valley will be released on the 21st April, I know some of you were lucky enough to pick them up at the Ally Pally show, The show was a fantastic success for Lili of the Valley and they almost sold out of all the stamps they took, but with foresight they put in an ordered of stamps to be delivered this week.

At the same time as the Busy Bear release Lili of the Valley are releasing a new collection of 4 Cute Cats and Dogs complete with really useful sentiments this collection costs £14.99 I am sure you will think the same as us a real BARGIN!!! , look out for some sneak peeks from the DT this week.

Right on to this weeks challenge we have a fabulous sketch for you this week by the aforesaid Bev and we have all had fun with this one

002

The way I was feeling I didn’t think I would be able to make a card for the challenge this week, but then I realised I could use the fantastic Lili of the Valley diecuts  I picked up on Saturday, wow these are just so useful when you need a quick card.  All I needed  to do was cut out the image with Nesties and add a bit of glitter and voila I had a card.  The papers are from Wild Rose Crafts and Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons of course the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

003

I had better get on now and try to catch up on everything that has been left for the last few days, if you have e-mailed me so sorry I haven’t got back to you but promise I will try to at some stage today

Bouquet of Love

005a

Morning or Afternoon should I say, being away for the weekend I didn’t have a card prepared for today, so this is a quick one I made this morning. I followed the sketch by my dear friend Terry that is this weeks challenge on Sketch Saturday. Fabby sketch Terry xx

005 I used an image I had already coloured with Distress Inks, sorry I didn’t make a note of the colours, she is one of the new images from Stampavie. The papers are by Magnolia and the Ribbons are from Crafty Feelings. I have used more of the gorgeous deep red Cherry Blossoms and white roses from Wild Orchid Crafts . The sentiment is from SU and I have cut out the image and sentiments with the new Nesties I bought at the NEC.

006

I still did a little crafting at the weekend with my dear Grandson Owen (4), after opening his Easter Eggs on Sunday Morning he took a bite out of one and then asked his Mum to put them in the fridge, we then spent a couple of hours playing with the boxes the eggs came in. We ended up with this cute Robot he is called Ronnie the Rubbish Robot, he collects rubbish to go in the bin in the hole in his tummy!!!!

003Robbie was a joint effort by Gemma and Rich ( DIL and DS), Owen and I, this is the first time I have ever managed to get Rich and Gemma to craft but I think they did a brilliant job.

Happy Easter Everyone

005a

This week on Just Magnolia Challenge it is time for our Special Monthly Challenge, once a month we like to stretch your crafting a little bit further and this month we would like to see different folds on your cards. As usual our Wonderful Sponsor Heidi from Simon Says Stamp ios offering a wonderful voucher to spend in her store, thank you so much heidi for your continued support of Just Magnolia .

005 My fellow DT members have come up with some spectacular folds I am afraid mine is very simple, but I really wanted to use all of my lovely new Tilda stamps, all four of these stamps were bought from Crafts U Love . I am afraid there are a lot of photos for you today making this quite a long post.

006The first image is the cute Bunny Tilda which has been coloured with Distress Inks,

Face – Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Worn Lipstick, Bunny Outfit Victorian Velvet and Frayed Burlap. (Have any of you guessed yet that Victorian Velvet is my absolute favourite of all the new Distress Ink Colours. It has been used on all three images!!!!

008Here we have the lovely Easter Sentiment and Tilda holding her lamb. The papers are from Magnolia, I have used Tattered Rose and Victorian Velvet to distress the edges of the backing card, then whilst the ink was still damp I added pale gold Embossing Powder, I am really liking this look.

Face, Hands and Legs have been coloured with the usual Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Worn Lipstick, the Dress – Victorian Velvet and Chipped Shapphire Lamb and shoes – Black Soot and Hair Black Soot and Frayed Burlap. If you are interested in how I colour Tilda with Distress Inks there are links to a couple of Tutorials I have created on my side bar

011

You can see the distressed and embossed edges better on this photo, I have also used the Martha Stewart 3 Butterfly Punch, The Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts as usual.

Tildas Face Hands and Legs as above, Dress - Chipped Sapphire and Victorian Velvet, Flowers and Shoes and Scarf - Victorian Velvet Hair – Tea Dye, I have also used loads of Stickles on this one.

The Pearl buttons at the top of each Label are from The Hobby House.

I am going to my Sons for the weekend, they have a full programme arranged for me ending with an Easter Egg Hunt with my dear GS Owen on Sunday so I know I am going to have a fabulous time, hope you all enjoy your Easter Break . I have scheduled posts for Saturday and Sunday so hope it works.
