Time for Tea

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Doodling

Hi Everyone where has this week gone, I had so much planned and only done half of it, cannot believe its Saturday already, well Saturday means Penny Black Challenge and this week we have the theme of Doodling for you, the DT have come up with some great inspiration for you so just pop over there and come an join us.

I am not very good at doodling, so I am afraid I just added faux stiches around my lovely Vintage Image. I have used my copics to colour again, the DP is Imaginise and of course the MSDP has to make an appearance somewhere. The bottom layers of the flowers have been punched with the Retro Flower Punches and I have added white flowers from my stash, the gold spacer on the large flower is from Eggstravaganza and the pearl brad is from stash, Ash Branch punch was used for the leaves.

I have used the Imaginise papers an flowers to decorate the inside of the card, and have stamped around the white nestie label with peg stamps from a Tapestry set.

I have stamped the image onto Canson manga Board and these are the colours used.

Oh I do love Sketches, such a help when Mojo isn't working perfectly, and there is a lovely one for us on
Sketch and Stash this week, thanks girls I enjoyed this one

I was so tired last night I went to bed at 8.30pm but it must have done me good I am up and raring to go this morning, just a quick post before I make a start on the dreaded H*******k (sorry to use that word). I have a super little image for you today this darling little girl is from the new
Sugar Nellie Elizabeth Bell Collection, she has been coloured with copics on SU Whisper White cardstock, the papers are BG and of course had to get my MSBP in somewhere. The sentiment is from the new Sentiment and Swirls set from Whiff of Joy.

I have carried the papers and followed the sketch onto the inside.

The Copic colours used on this card.

Whiff of Joy Elzabeth Bell Spring 2009 Collection

A little something Yummy for you just a quick one here but I couldn't resist this little Rabbit Gingerbread from Marks and Spencers yesterday. I have re-packaged her, using the Heart Swirls and the cute Melindas Snail from The new WOJ release, They have both been coloured with copics again.

I hope to back later this afternoon with another post, and will give you advance notice that I hope to post a little Candy for you tomorrow. Have a good day

WOJ Birthday Angel and Gone Fishing

Truly Scrumptious Challenge

Are you ready for another Angel, I am sure you will have seen this lovely Birthday Melinda Angel from Whiff of Joys Guardian Angel Spring Release on some of my fellow DT members blog, but I think she is just perfect for the challenge on Truly Scrumptious this week, which is a lovely sketch from Beth with the added challenge of sparkle. Well the Paper from Imaginise has glitter on it although you cannot see it in the photograph. Melinda has been coloured with Copics on SU Whisper White Cardstock. The circle was cut with Nesties and has been put through the Cuttlebug in Swiss Dots Folder. Ribbons & flower from stash, the butterfly charms were a Birthday present from Katharina, Thank you dear. I have added lots of sparkle I hope with the self adhesive Gems. The border is punched with Fiskars Daisy Border Punch

I have used another stamp from the WOJ release inside, I can think of lots of uses for this fabby stamp. Well girls you havn't gone long to wait now for the release of the new stamps, I bet you are all chomping at the bit to get hold of them

Here are the copics for you info.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

We have a fabulous Sketch by my dear friend Donalda for you to follow this week on Lili of the Valley Challenge, I know everyone loves Donaldas sketches so hope you will come and join us this week.

What a week it has been for Stamp releases this week, first of all the WOJ Spring release, then Sugar Nellies fabulous Boys stamps and the stunning Elizabeth Bell release and Finally 3 new little elves from Bearly Mine Designs I just didn't know where to start with them all. I hope to show you a card with the Elves tomorrow you will love them as much as me I am sure, they have stolen my heart.
I decided to go with the Gone Fishing Boy what a pleasure it was to paint him, I have used Distress Inks for this one as I wanted to get the watercolour look. I know I have raved on about the
Bearly Mine CD, but even I didn't expect to find the perfect paper for this little boy, but there was a lovely Orange paper with green fish on it, I promise I had coloured the image before I even looked for the papers, so I was well impressed. All the papers are from the CD. The ribbon and buttons are from stash and the string is from the Greenhouse :). The lovely fish charm was a present from my dear friend Rach (xxxx).

More of the lovely papers inside, even the ticket was from the CD, I have used another MSDP cannot get enough of these little babies.

Another Spring Angel from WOJ and A Touch of Spring from Tilda

Whiff Of Joy Challenge - Green

I think most of the Challenges this week have the same theme Green (well it was St Paddys Day yesterday, hope you all had a good one). We are looking forward to seeing all your lovely green creations we know we will be impressed as we always are. To find out more about the Challenge click Here.
Don't forget the 22nd March is the release date for the
Whiff of Joy Guardian Angel Spring Collection, by now you will have seen lots of sneak peeks of these little beauties from Elizabeth Bell and I am sure you will be looking forward to the release.

This is just such a cute Angel I couldn't resist colouring her up, she has been coloured with distress inks I resisted the temptation of adding glitter to her wings this time. The lovely papers are BG I cut the heart with Nesties. The lovely gem swirls are by Prima, flowers from stash and I have added 2 pearl headed pins from stash.

The Swirl Hearts are also to be released by Whiff of Joy on the 22nd March they come on a sheet with a good selection of different swirls and sentiments. I have used some more of the lovely Prima gems inside.

Stamp with Stampavie - SPRING

From this week we have opened up the challenge to any stamps, this is in line with most Challenge blogs now, so hope more of you can come and join us. It is a lovely theme this week SPRING and just right for us here in the UK where we have been having much better weather and the daffodils and crocus are in bloom. To see the fantastic cards made by my fellow DT buddies just click
HERE, looking forward to seeing your creations.

Another Tilda from the SPRING club kit, these really are the best yet, I am sure I say that every time but these really are fab. She has been coloured with Copics and mounted onto two label Nesties, I have stamped the white label with the WOJ cloud stamp and 3d the bee and the Butterflies. Flowers from the lovely Jill at The Hobby House, brads and beads from stash. Not sure who makes the DP

The Tilda inside the card has also been coloured with Copics but on SU Whisper White card stock, the Tilda on the front of the card was stamped onto Canson Manga Art Board, I get asked what card stock is best for the Copics and these both work well but give different effects, the SU card is a much softer look but the markers don't blend in the same way as they do on the Art Board, the art board also gives stronger colour, so it depends on what look you really want I use both depending on the image and the look I want to convey.

Here are the colours, I used the same colours on both Tildas

Ready for a WOJ Sneak Peek

Since I received my DT pack of the Gorgeous Guardian Angel stamps from Whiff of Joy I have been dying to share them with you, they are all so beautiful it was hard to chose which one to show you first,
This Melinda Guardian Angel fitted the sketch on
Sketch Saturday so she is the first to be previewed. The stamps will be released on 22nd March so you havn't got long to wait.

I loved this sketch on Sketch Saturday thanks Jo, Melinda has been coloured with copics and the fabulous soft papers are from Basic Grey Porcelain pad, I could only get hold of one of these pads if anyone knows where I can get another from I would appreciate it, as I need to order more and everywhere I have tried they are sold out. I have used a MSBP again, the flowers are from stash. The Sentiment is from another Whiff of Joy set of Sentiments and swirls also due to be released on 22nd March, the Sentiments have been designed by our very own super talented Bev. If you would like some more sneak peeks don't forget to check out Katharina and the DT teams blogs.

I have used another of the new releases inside, the picnic basket has also been coloured with copics and the swirls are from the new Swirls and Sentiments Sheet.

Mothers Day and Dragons Greetings

This week on Magnolia vs Stampavie we are asking you to make something for Mothers Day, can be a card or a present anything as long as it is for Mothers Day. You can check out the rules for the challenge and see the Fabulous cards by My fellow DT girls by clicking
Here

I am just going to start Sunday Lunch as I have my son and family coming over today, so this is another quick post I am afraid. I know I am always moaning about not liking my cards but this one I really don't like very much not sure why just not happy about it at all. My Mojo seems to have gone and I really have no enthusiasm for card making again, he seems to be doing this a lot lately, wonder if I am over working him, anyway if you see him send him back please.

I have used two of the Spring Collection Magnolias on this card The Signpost and of Course Tilda with her basket of flowers, they have been coloured with Copics and mounted onto Pink and Green Base card. I have added extra grass on the bottom of the signpost and just added the grass with a black pen. The papers are from Basic Grey, flowers, spacers, brads and Charm from stash. The sentiment is computer generated and I have distressed the edges with Tattered Rose Distress Ink and layered it on top of a net bow which dosn't actually show on the Photo. The Butterfly is another stamp from the spring collection.

I have carried the papers onto the inside and added a couple more of the butterflies I am not sure where the Gold Butterfly came from. Copics I have used are below

The super talented Trak has added downloads to her e-bay shop now she has this fabulous Blue Dragon, a Pink Dragon and an Easter Bunnie to download at the moment. They print out perfectly as you can see from this card. I printed the dragon on to textured card to give him a feeling of scales. I just adore him, I hope you do.

The papers are from my Fav CD again and I have used a MSBP for the Border on the blue base card. This is actually an 8 x 8 card which I very rarely make, but I am really pleased with this one. The brads, flowers, lace and Charm are from my stash

There are two dragons on the download, I though I would show you both, the little sitting dragon is actually for a gift box I am going to make for the Baby. If you would like to check out these downloads just click Here to go to Traks blog.

Welcome

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Morning everyone, I cannot believe we are on week 40 of
Penny Black Saturday Challenge, it seems such a short while ago that Tracie asked me to help to start up this fabulous challenge and now 40 weeks on we have so many followers every week. This week we have a fabulous Sketch by Tracy for you to follow and also the most fabulous prize, my fellow Dt members has created some awesome cards so click Here to join us.

A baby boy card for you this week, this is the fist time I have used this stamp for a boy and I love it in blue. Baby Hedgie has been coloured with copics twice, then the front of the hammock, hedgie and the flower heads have been cut out again and 3d onto the base. The Papers are again from my new CD, flowers have been punched from the same papers, Martha Stewart Heart Punch was used for the borders, Nesties and Heart Punch used for the heart embellie, Little Bear charm from stash.

I have used the New Arrivals Cartridge on the Cricut for the sentiment inside and more of the delicious papers. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the Copics I used. I was so frustrated with blogger yesterday going to have another go today, but it seems as if I am not the only one experiencing problems.
