Just Magnolia Challenge

003a

This week our challenge is LACE IT UP – so you can take the challenge literally and do some lacing up on your card, or you can use lace – real or paper, just as long as you use a Magnolia stamp on your project. Don’t forget that you can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please. The challenge closes next Thursday (23rd Sept).

003

Late again but I do have a good excuse today. Mum has started wandering about at night so I decided I had better move my bedroom from upstairs to downstairs next to Mums room, it took much longer than I expected and I ended up with a horrendous headache at the end of the afternoon.  Anyway I slept much better knowing I was close at hand so I think it was worth it.

For a change I love this card, I don’t very often use blues and greys but I think it has worked.  The papers are by Magnolia, The heart is also a Magnolia stamp which I stamped onto grey card and Glittered.  That luscious lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts as are all the elements in the flower arrangement.

003c

Copics used to colour Tilda:

Flesh: E21, E00, E000, E0000

Hair: E17, E15, E13, E11

Dress: B91, B93

I found this paper in my Stash Drawer so not sure where it comes from, talking about papers I have just been over to Bearly Mine Designs and seen Donnas lovely Christmas Papers, as usual I just had to spend some money and get 3 sets,  I am going to download them as soon as I have finished this post, but I know I will love them all.

I haven’t had time to join in Sketch Saturday lately so it was great to be able to make a card this week especially as it is such a great sketch.

001

Another new stamp on this one, there is a lady out there in blogland who is a very bad influence on me and is always giving me links to stamps and ways to spend my money, you know who you are!!!!  Anyway this stamp came from Cuddly Buddly and is one of a set of 4 fairies, now who could resist her.

The paper I know is a download but I am not sure by who!  I have used a couple of the  Magnolia Dies to punch out the Flower and Dragonfly.  The flowers are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Post Party Sunday

018a

Oh dear a party for 60 seemed a good idea, forgot about the clearing up, this morning I have lots of post party jobs to do so I thought I would just show you some more of the cards I made for the Crafters Companion Jayne Nestorenko Adorables release, I am afraid I have been so busy all week preparing for the party and trying to get together people James hasn’t seen for years that I haven’t made a card since Wednesday.  It s going to be so hard to get back into the swing of it.  So for a quick Sunday post I will just add some photos of a variety of cards hope you don’t mind.

018

From the Playing Set with papers from the CD

003

Using elements from the Loving Set and papers from CD

012

From the Sharing Collection the background has been made using accessory stamps from the same  stamp plate.

017

This one shows how a very simple card can be made using just two colours and one element from the Stamp set

005

Finally a little one using Nesties to make a different shaped card.

There is a Live show with Jayne and Leann on Create and Craft at 12 noon today, so hope you can catch it, and don’t forget you have a chance of winning £30 of Jaynes previous stamps by leaving a comment on the sneak peeks by my fellow DT members on Crafters Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog.

Have a good Sunday

Adorable Saturday

019a

Good Morning everyone, today is my Son James 30th Birthday so I am afraid I will be qucker than usual with this post as we have lots to do, before his party tonight.

019

Did you see Jaynes shows yesterday the Adorables were a great hit and I am sure they are not going to last the week, they are now also available to buy on the Crafters Companion Website, there are some brilliant offers on there so if you want to get your hands on these images and CD and cannot get Create and Craft just pop over and get your order in

019b

I have used the boy and girl and Christmas Tree images on this cardt o make a little scene,  I think being able to build up scenes with Jaynes stamps are what make them so popular.

028

and this card is using the little girl from the Praising Collection.

Sorry this is so quick but  have got to go to Margate now.  Just want to Wish James a really Happy 30th Birthday .

Lili of the Valley Challenge and Sneak Peek No 4

001a

Its Challenge 64 on Lili of the Valley Challenge this week and we have a Theme for you this week “ONE FOR THE BOYS” and a fabulous £10 voucher to spend on the Lili of the Valley Website.  As usual our Dt have produced the most fantastic cards they just seem to get better every week.

001

Oh Dear my Mojo has gone on the run, it was so hard to make this card , I had no inspiration and that is so unusual when I have LOTV images to play with, I think I am tired and have crafted myself out with commissions etc this last month.  May take a rest from cardmaking  for a couple of days I have enough made to still be able to post.

Love this paper, I think it is by Imaginise, the Martha Stewart Border Punch is fast becoming one of my favourites especially for those dreaded boys cards.

002 The copics I used:

Flesh:  E27, E00, E000, E0000

Boat – BG15, BG11, BG10, E40

Shirt Trousers Shoes, E71, E70, E40

Now for my card for Day 4 of the Adorables Sneak Peeks

014a

Todays card is from the Sharing Plate I know every time I post a card I say I love the images  but this one has really stolen my heart I just love the wonderful faces on these two little girls Jayne has managed to capture.  Well the launch show is tomorrow and I for one cannot wait to see it I really think Sara and Jayne have cracked it with this one.  The CD that Crafters Companion  have created to go with these stamps is one of their best the backing papers are awesome and I will be using them on lots of my Christmas cards this year.  You have a chance to win £30 of Jaynes stamps from previous releases if you pop over to the Crafters Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog and leave a comment.  You will also find the links to the DTs blogs to see todays sneak peeks from them.

014

I have not used the background stamp on this card, (it is a Staircase), but have used a sentiment and accessory stamp.  The gorgeous plaid paper is from the CD.  Poinsettias are from Wild Orchid Crafts,

Finally I have a photo from Charlies 2nd birthday outing with his Nannys, we had a great time and Charlie had us in stitches, he just loves an audience.
