Are you ready for some Beatrix Potter

If  you have wondered why I have not blogged for a couple of days perhaps todays post will answer that question.  The Crafters Companion Design Team received more awesome products to play with last week these products will be featured on Pick of the Day on Tuesday 20th March on Create and Craft.  Those Beatrix Potter fans amongst you will be pleased to hear that the release includes 3 more CD-Roms  and 3 sets of Stamps to add to the fantastic  Crafters Companion Beatrix Potter collection, the new additions are Jeremy Fisher, Benjamin Bunny and Timmy Tiptoes,  plus there are lots more exciting goodies to compliment the range, more about them later in the week. 

So here is my first Sneak Peek for you.

I have used a stamp from the Benjamin Bunny Stamp Sheet (Which also includes very useful sentiments), I have stamped the image on a Stamping Tag from the CD-Rom which has been printed onto Watercolour Paper and coloured with Derwent Watercolour Pencils, I have used Co-ordinations Vintage Retro Mod Squad and Papers from the CD Rom for the Matting & Layering, the lovely cream organza ribbon is also from Crafters Companion.

What a Fantastic Success

Did you see the Launch of Crafters Companion Paintbox Poppets Collection on Create & Craft yesterday, 60% sold out in the first 3 hours, I am so pleased you all loved it as much as The Design team, I know I speak for us all when I say how much we all enjoyed working with this fabulous collection.

 

 

Today I have the last couple of cards I made for the launch, this first card is made using a Stamping Companions sheet from the CD-Rom and one of the 12 stamps.  I have coloured the image with Spectrum Noirs on Neenah Classic card both available from Crafters Companion.

Sorry this is so quick, have got to get Mum up.  She still is not eating but I am managing to get Build Up drinks made with whole milk down her, each drink has 250 calories so 3 a day is 750 calories, plus a couple of milky coffees and a glass of Sherry at 4 o’clock hopefully brings the calorie count up to just over a 1,000.

Lilis Little Fairies Challenge

Morning,  a change from me today no sneak peek, being Thursday it means it is time for Lilis Little Fairies Challenge, the first time I have made a DT card for the challenge for 4 weeks.  Our Challenge this week is RIBBONS AND LACE and we are sponsored by the Mary and Andrea from The Ribbon Girl, they re offering a fabulous Ribbon Kit.  My fellow DT members have created some awesome cards to get you started so just click HERE to pop over to the Challenge Site.

Thought I would go for a different colour scheme for this one, the Lush Papers are by Graphicus 45 and are available from Dies to Die For, of course the stamp is Lili of the Valley  and is call Never to Old for Cupcakes, I have coloured the image on Nennah Paper with Copics.  I have distressed white seam binding with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, the Ribbon and Lace are both from The Ribbon Girl.

Lots of Die Cuts on used on here Doo Hickey Strawberry Leaf and Label, Cheery Lynn Doily Die, and Spellbinders Rose Creations, these can all be found on the Dies to Die For website.  The fabulous Hat Pin is from Bunny Zoes webshop.

Anyone for Cricket

 

Good morning again Peeps, brrrrr!!!! I am freezing here but todays sneak peek reminds me of those long hot summer days watching cricket on the Village Green, have I conquered up an idyllic picture for you.

 

This awesome stamp is one of the 2 limited addition Paintbox Poppets which will only be available to those who order  Crafters Companion Paintbox Poppet  products during the Pick of the Week on Create and Craft (starting 9th March). 

 

 

 

I have used papers and embellishments (yes the buttons are actually printed),  the Sentiment comes with the limited addition stamp.  As usual I have used Neenah Classic Card to stamp and colour the image on  and Spectrum Noirs to colour the image, I cut both the Image and Sentiment out with Nesties and distress the edges with Distress Ink.  This is quite a plain card for me but I wanted to make the adorable image the centre of attraction.

A Couple of little Beauties for you

 

Morning all, from the comments I have already received lots of you are really looking forward to the release of the fabulous Paint Box Poppets collection from Crafters Companion this Friday, cannot say I blame you I have loved working with these sweet stamps and CD  although due to being ill for those 3 weeks I didn’t have a chance to play with the fantastic decoupage and images on the CD, but I have been checking out my fellow DT members creations using the decoupage and toppers and I have been blown away,  I am not a great decoupager but this CD could change that.

 

Don’t forget the whole collection will be pick of the week from Friday 9th March on Create and Craft, and If I know Sara and Crafters Companion they will be at a brilliant affordable  price.

 

 

I have used memento Ink to stamp the image onto Neenah Classic card  and used Spectrum Noirs to colour, the Round sentiment and text are also stamps from the range,  The yummy papers, Buckle Ribbon & Bulldog tags are all from the CD.

Two More Sneaks

 

Morning Peeps hope you all had a good weekend, it is very very windy here this morning, its quite frightening, Rosie is running and jumping around the house and going mad, what is it with cats and wind.

 

Well today I have 2 sneak peeks for you again these are from the Crafters Companion new release “Paintbox Poppets”, this collection includes  Stamps, Round Sentiment Stamps, CD and Die-cut Decoupage and is absolutely stunning.  The Collection will be Pick of the Week from this Friday 9th March on Create and Craft so do try and catch the shows if you can,  I have seen some of the sneak peeks from my fellow Design Team Members and each one is just awesome.

 

My First card is another of the gorgeous Boys, great for me with 4 sons and 7 Grandsons, I always struggle to find and image for them.

 

 

All the papers and embellies used on this card are from the CD I love the Buckle on the ribbon it looks like  metal IRL, the button and bulldog clip cut been cut out and had gloss accents add to them.  I printed off the embellies and papers on Grey scale setting on the printer, I do like the effect.  The image was as usual coloured with Spectrum Noirs  on Neenah Classic Card.

A Poppet of a Sneak Peek

Happy Sunday All, if you have arrived here to enter for my Sweet Sugar Nellie Candy just scroll down to the post below, it is still open until Midday tomorrow.

 

As I mentioned earlier in the week I have been working on a new release, well today I can give you a sneak peek of the next Fabulous CD and Stamp Release from Crafters Companion.  When I first saw the set of 8 stamps I was blown away these are just stunning and then I received the CD and realised this is an absolute stunner of a Package, the CD is full of the most cute images, card ideas, Backing Papers and everything else you learn to expect from a Crafters Companion CD.  I have kept you in suspense long enough this release is the well known “Paintbox Poppets”, I am sure lots of you are familiar with these fabulous images.

 

 

 

A few years ago I bought some large wood mounted stamps of these images and I must admit I didn’t get on with them at all, they were too large and too detailed, but Crafters Companion have worked their magic and these  new stamps are a dream to colour and stamp, they are smaller and a lot less detailed but still  retain the unique feel of the original images.

 

There are 4 Girl  and 4 Boy stamps plus round sentiments, so today I thought I would show you one of the Boy Images as there are so few good images for boys around.  I have stamped and coloured the image on Neenah Classic Card  with Spectrum Noirs (Colours below), the papers are from the CD as are the borders.

Some Sweet Candy

  Before I went to CHA the lovely generous Karen from Funky Kits sent me some stamps to offer you as Candy, Thank you so much Karen it was so kind of you and such a surprise MWAHXXXX.  It was my intention to offer the candy as soon as I got back from the CHA but as you know life doesn't always go to plan,  anyway before I went I put the stamps in a safe place, it was so safe I cannot find them at the moment (if you saw the state of my Craft room you would understand why, but I haven’t got the energy at the moment to spend a day tidying), so I have decided to offer you 3 super Unused Sugar Nellie Stamps of my own as a little Candy  until I find  the originals.

Just a quick update on how Mum is so many of  you have asked, she is now home, but her stay in hospital  has seemed to of taken a very big toll on her, it is a daily battle to make her eat and drink, and her memory is now completely gone, I am working on a memory box for her at the moment to try to stimulate her memory, I am hoping it is just the drugs they gave her whilst she was in hospital that has made her so lifeless and quite and once they are out of her system she will be more like her old self.

Just for You

Hello my lovelies, bet you are pleased its Friday, I have managed to make 2 cards at last, Yahoo!!!!!!!!, I will be showing them next week as sneak peeks, cannot say much more but I do think you are going to love these new Stamp Range I am working on.

 

Today I am afraid to say I have another card I made months ago for the Papercrafts Inspirations article, I am only managing to make one card a day at the moment so have got to concentrate on these sneak peeks.

 

 

I love this Lili of the Valley Stamp  - “Milly- Just For You”  she has been coloured with Copics and Pencils.  I have used one of the really useful step card blanks from Which Craft I always make sure I have a supply of the different blank designs, they immediately give you inspiration..

The papers are from Nitwits Collections – Bumbleberry too , the Lace, Ribbon & Small Roses are from The Ribbon Girl.  I have used a mixture of Doo Hickey and Marianne Designs.

A Card at Last

Morning Peeps, I promised a card today so here it is, I didn’t actually make this one yesterday, I created it months ago for an article in Papercraft Inspirations Magazine  that was released this month.   It felt great being back to a bit of crafting yesterday, although I was cream cracked by about 5pm, but I am sure I will get there soon.

 

 

Another of my favourite Acetate Easel cards, in fact I think this was the first one I made.  I have used the fabulous Lili of the Valley  “Teddy for Mum” for this card, it is one of the images  in the free Colouring Pad that comes with the Magazine.

 

The Flowers, Leaves, Swirl, Label are all Magnolia Doo Hickey Dies. 

 

 

The image has been coloured with Copics and Polychromos Pencils.

 

Sorry this is short and sweet will try harder as the week goes by.

Morning Peeps

Just a quick post to let you know I am at last back in the land of the living although still extremely tired and have no energy,  I am afraid I have no card for you today but just wanted to pop on here to thank you all for the lovely messages you have left for me on my e-mail and facebook.  Today I am tyring to make my way through 1466 e-mails, I hope you will bear with me if I do not answer them all as I think that would mean I would be tied to my PC until next week.  I never want to go through another 3 weeks like the last but hopefully from here it can only get better.

Exciting News

Sorry this is a bit late,  spent all day yesterday and most of last night at the hospital with Mum, she fell out of Bed on the last day I was in the USA, she was taken to the hospital and released the same day,  she has been in pain every since I got home and yesterday I rang the Doctor and he arranged for her to be taken back to the hospital where they discovered she had a fractured hip.  Anyway she is now staying in hospital and getting the care she needs.

 

I  have some really exciting news to tell you all today, whilst at the CHA I was asked by the lovely Lols and Heidi from Simons Says Stamp Challenge to join the DT, didn’t take any thinking about I immediately said yes and started doing the Happy Dance in the Convention Centre.  So here is my first card as a DT member.

Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge

 

Morning Peeps, today sees that late posting of Februarys Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge, this month we have a nice and simple one for you - ANYTHING GOES -

Here is my card for the Challenge

 

 

For this card I have used Crafters Companion Strawberry Kisses Range, the sweet Friends stamp has been stamped on to Neenah Classic Card with Memento Ink and coloured with Spectrum Noirs (Colours below).  I have added lots of lovely Glamour Dust around the edge of the cushion and Glossy Accents to the Bulldog Clip.

 

All the paper elements have been taken from the Strawberry Kisses Papercrafting CD Rom, don’t you just love the Ribbon Slider and Bulldog Clip, that buckle really looks like metal.

 

The floral wreath tucked behind the image is by Memory Box and is called Catalina Wreath I have added a couple of sticky back gemstones to the flowers on the wreath, the flowers have been made using paper from the CD-Rom using Tim Holtzs Die.

Back Home

Morning Peeps, well what a contrast sitting in a garden in 80 degrees then coming home to 10cms Snow,  still it lo0ks very pretty out of the window and all the while I do not have to go out in it I will be happy for it to stay.

 

Had a fabulous time in California, it was just the best time staying with my Brother, Sister in Law and Nephews, I was spoilt rotten and really found it hard to say goodbye, I have not sorted out my photos yet but once I have a bit of time will do so and post them on here, was taken on trips to Newport Beach, Bilbao Island and the fabulous Laguna Beach, now they are what I think of as the ultimate holiday destinations.  Whilst sitting in the garden I was surrounded by the most beautiful Humming Birds, they are so tiny and move so fast  and with the weather in the 80’s  it felt really exotic.  I will certainly go back, hopefully next year.

 

Had great time at CHA meet some lovely people and made lots of new friends, the Crafters Companion Stands were always busy and Spectrum Noirs were a terrific hit there, didn’t have too much time to mooch around but cannot say I saw much that knocked me out, although the Rangers Stand was inspirational as was Tim Holtzs demonstration, I am defo going to have the new Distress Markers.  I was also impressed with the Prima and Bo  Bunny Stands.  Will give more bulletins when I have sorted my head out, at the moment it is just full of everything I saw and  did.

 

 

 

Found it hard to get down to making a card today, but persevered and finished this one.  I have used Neenah Classic Card to stamp and colour my image of  Tilda with Daisy and the Very Old Magnolia Heart Stamp, I have used Spectrum Noirs to colour the images  (colours below).

 

The papers are from the Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love Paper Collection, went a bit made with Heart Dies and Punches, for the two larger hearts I have used Nestabilities Heart Dies, The Border is Martha Stewart Punch, and the lovely doily is   Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily Die.  the edges have been distressed with Festive Berries Distress Ink.

Your Fabulous!!

 

Morning Peeps, well I am all packed, taxi booked for 11am, checked I have got my tickets and of course the Passport, wouldn’t do to leave without that would it.  Going up to Newcastle by Train today,  I will meet up with Sarah Millsop and Leann  and we will fly from there, the flight is at 6am so its a really early morning for us, think I will set the alarm for 3am.  I cannot wait to see my Brother and his family hopefully have a couple of days with them then its work for 4 days, I will be demoing Spectrum Noirs  on the Crafters Companion Stand, cannot believe how lucky I am and so proud that Sara and Leann have given me this opportunity, Thank both of you so much MWAHXXXXXX.  I will take lots of pictures and let you know what is in store for us later this year, I really want to see those Tim Holtzs Distress Ink Markers!!!!!

 

 

I saw a delicious card made with this sweet Mo Manning Design Ragged Romeo on my lovely, talented  teamie Mina’s blog (I see she has now used this image as her blog header please go and check) and knew I just had to have it, I must stop visiting her blog I always spend money after going over there. 

 

I coloured the image up about a week ago but have just not had time to post it until now, so sorry I forgot to make a note of the Copics I used.

 

Once again I have made one of my favourite Doo Hickey Peony's and made a swirl rose to go in the middle.  The special Day sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

 

 

I have scheduled my Dt card for the new Lilis Little Fairies Challenge  tomorrow, but have not had time to do any more cards, but will try to post CHA Pictures on here during the next week.

Bright & Cheerful

Morning, I want to share another of the lovely Saturated Canary Digi Images with you today, this little Ragamuffin Girl image is Called Hand Me Down and she just called to be coloured in really bright colours, wow what a change for me but I loved doing it.

 

 

These Basic Grey papers were exactly the right match for the colours it is from the Piccadilly Pad available  from Dies to Die for .  The Coral Eyelet Trim Lace is also from Dies to Die for, isn’t it fabulous I just love the colour, this bit of lace was the start of the whole card.  The Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Red and Green Card is rom the Co-Ordinations Card range.

 

 

I have printed  and coloured the image  on Neenah Classic Crest Card and Spectrum Noirs.

 

The Spectrum Colours Used are:

 

Green: (Sleeves) – CG4, CG3, CG1 Socks: LG5 LG1

Reds: CR11, CR10, OR2, OR1

Blues: TB4 TB3, TB2

Hair: Black, IG9, IG7, IG3, IG1

Flesh: TN3, FS9, TN1, FS2, CR2

The Final Episode

Morning Peeps, well finally its time for the Final Episode of the Princess crown Affair. I am quite sad to have finished this project but have another one in the pipeline.  It seems quite cold here this morning and I have had a bit of a battle with Mum to get her up, I know it it wouldn’t do any harm to leave her in bed, in fact I would like to be tucked up in mine  at the moment,  but that can be the start of a slippery slope.

 

 

On this page I have used Lili of the Valley stamp Brithday Fairy she has been coloured with copics here is the link to the colours used, I have used the same pens for every image.  The decorative elements all come as part of the kit.
