What a lovely sketch Jo at Sketch Saturday has given us this week, thanks Jo!! and lots of congratulations to the New Design Team Jo has chosen, they have produced some great cards with very little notice to give us inspiration.

Another great sketch for using up scraps, the Dps are Imaginice and Daisy Bucket, I think, the ribbon slider is cut with a new Sizzix die on the CB I have added a punched flower to the middle of the ribbon to make it a bit fancier, and also added spacers and black pearls to the wheel of the cart, I am pleased with that effect. Ribbon adn flowers from Poppicraft.

The star brads are from stash, I think I got them from Lakeland.

I would like to say a great big thanks for all the concern you have expressed for Mum, fortuntely she is not physically ill, she has Alszhimers and her bad days are not bad for her, but very tiring for me, but I am lucky she has more good days than bad and sometimes the old Mum can be recognised. Some ideas are: Hand charms, Hand Shaped Chipboard, Hand Shaped Card, Clock Hands, the possibilities are endless.

Donna (the Boss) has asked the design team to produce a card and an item to match this week, and as soon as my New Schooldays Tildas arrived I knew what I wanted to do, don't you think these new Tildas are the best yet. Well Tilda is back from her holidays and is starting "BIG" school at the end of the month, she has been collecting lots of pencils and rubbers so I have made a nice new box to put them in. The desk has been stamped on Watercolour paper and has been coloured with distress inks, the edges of the paper have been sponged with Anitque Linen Distress Inks, I have had the watch face and hands in my craft box for ages, I never throw anything away, Tilda has been coloured with distress inks and 3d. Young Love - Stamping with Sarah Kay

Thanks to everyone who joined us onStamping with Sarah Kay Challenge last week, we had some really super cards from you and I really enjoyed visiting your blogs. This week we have a sketch by Betty and my fellow DT members have some great examples of what you can do with it so why not get out your Sarah Kay stamps and join us again this week.

I have been using blue a lot this week, No it's not the way I feel, I am not usually a blue person but these papers were all on my desk after making a previous card so it just came naturally. I had a struggle making the 3d frame then had the bright idea to us my ScorPal. The circles were cut with Nesties. The scrolls on the frame were a Sizziz die after cutting I inked them with Marvy Blending Blox in shades of blue then stamped them with a Versamark pad and added Glamour Dust, I must say I am quite pleased with them. I used Stempelglede Grunge Collection stamps for the flowers and swirls. Papers are Imaginisce, Ribbon fron Raspberry Ribbons rest from stash. Thanks for visiting.

I have also been tagged by Debbie today and these are the rules, Thanks very much Debbie
* If you are tagged, you must firstly post the rules:
* Write 7 strange characteristics about yourself. They interest us all!
* Tag 6 other people at the end of your Post.
* Visit everyone that you have tagged and leave a comment on their blog to let them know that they have been tagged. So here are my seven strange characteristics:
1. I am more than happy with my own company
2. I have never had the urge to learn to drive, prehaps thats because I cannot tell my left from my right.
3. I am not afraid of wasps or bees but am petrified of MOTHS!!!!
4. It takes me at least 2hrs in the morning before I can hold a conversation with anyone
5. I hate the telephone and do not own a mobile, I spend as little time as possible on the phone.
6. I have spent my whole life trying to put on weight. It is as bad being underweight as it is overweight.
7. I really love watching all kinds of sports on TV - being a Mum to 4 boys is most probably the reason for this.
Now I will have to tag 6 more of you unsuspecting bloggers, here goes

Cute Card Thursday - Soft Furnishings

Challenge 23
This week the theme for the challenge is
Soft Furnishings
you can use fabric, ribbon, stitching, buttons etc, anything you can find on the soft furnishings in the home ie curtains, cushions, sofas etc. This is the great challenge on Cute Card Thursday.
I have used Katharinas Sketch No 22 for the layout of this card, I think I may have gone a bit overboard with the embellies, I think I have mastered the painting now I must get down to practise the use of embellishments etc. The DP is printed from C&C Triple Treasures Christmas Cd, the oval has been embossed onto red card stock, but does not show very well in the photo seems to blend in with the DP. I have cut out the Whiff of Joy Charlotte stamp and 3d her onto red and green matted card, the swirls are from Stempleglede grunge collection. The 3 flowers are from Poppicraft and buttons from Crafters Companion.

I havn't bought any Christmas papers yet this year, and have almost used up all my bits and pieces from last year so at first I was a bit stuck for ideas for this one,
then I remembered I had the Funky Hands "Funky Seasons" CD, and found these great papers on there. I used toilet roll centre for the tag pocket, this was a brilliant idea I found on the fantastic blog of the very talented Camilla, Distress Ink and H20's with a lavish sprinkle of Glamour Dust was used to colour the images, "Baby it's cold outside" was computer generated, the Let it snow sentiment is by Penny Black from a set of 4, Snowflakes were punched. Ribbon fron Raspberry Ribbon August Kit, pearls and star brad from stash.

Polly Crafts
Sorry I am really late posting this weeks DT card, have had a hectic weekend, spent Friday with my youngest GS Owen who's 3rd Birthday it was we had a great day out at the Zoo. Then my DIL was meant to be induced on Saturday morning, but after waiting all day and all night they decided to send her home to see is she starts labour herself, poor girl, she had got herself already for it, but she is not actually due until the end of the month, it was just that she had high blood pressure and very badly swollen ankles but after a days bedrest it has gone back down to normal.

Down to this weeks card. As per normal it has been coloured with Distress Inks and H20's I have 3d the label on to the card. The DP are Daisy Bucket, I think they are really different to my normal choice of paper and am really pleased with the result. The ribbons are from stash and flowers from Joanna Sheen, Sentiment from SU

Charlotte & Her Reindeer

Had no time to craft yesterday, and to make matters worse my beautiful stamps from Whiff of Joy arrived just as I was going out of the door, bad timing or what, the stamps are gorgeous such great deep cut red rubber, easy to stamp and great to colour. Thanks Katharina and Alison.

It was hard to decide which stamp to use first but this really cute Charlotte and her Reindeer won, he just reminds me so much of the babycham deer, and he looks so pleased with himself. They have been coloured with Distress Inks and H20's and glitter has been added to her ear muffs and bottom of her trousers. Another plain card but the image is quite large and I didn't want to overwhelm it. I have layed the image and the Dp onto Lilac Brazill Basics an machined around the edge. Glitter has been added to the snowflake Brads. Ribbon is from Poppicraft, and rest from stash. Hope you all enjoy using these great stamps as much as I did.

Sketch Saturday - No 11

We have had some great sketch challenges this week and the sketch on Sketch Saturday is no exception. I have decided to make another Christmas Card, (starting early this year, instead of the week before Christmas), The stamp is Flute Angel by Precious Moments, what a shame these stamps are only available now on e-bay, the prices they are reaching are quickly taking them out of my price bracket I am afraid. She has been coloured with Distress Inks and H20's, the Dp are all scraps that I had over from last year, the snowflakes were punched, and I am not sure where I got the snowflake charms from.

I have added the close up as I have been asked quite a lot how to shade a white dress I hope this helps

This lovely little Spring Bunnie is playing hide and seek with his brothers and sisters, he looks so cute peeping out from the pansies, and has been coloured with Distress Inks and H20's. The mauve and green cardstock is from SU I wanted to keep it quite plain again in order to show off the great colours, So have just made more use of embellies and less of patterned paper, The flowers and brads are from Poppicraft, ribbon from stash, The beautiful flower and Butterfly charms were a RAK from my colouring Guru the fantastic Rach, I am sure by now that everyone has visited her wonderful blog, but if by chance you havn't go over there now and be prepared to be wowed!!
