Penny Black Saturday Challenge - a Circle Card

Thanks everyone who joined us last week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge , we seem to have more of you join in every week, we love visiting your blogs and viewing your fabulous take on each weeks theme. Well this week we would like to see a Circle card from you at little bit off a challenge but I am sure you will all rise to it. To see the cards from my fellow DT members and join in the challenge just click Here.

I used the Cricut Wild Card Cartridge to make this Circular Doiley Card, I think this must be the most useful of all the Cricut Cartridges as it has so many different styles of cards on there from Hearts to Owls. The Penny Black Easter Bunny Stamp is coloured with Copics (I must get back to using my Distress Inks as well, but am so loving these Copics, never thought I would). Sorry I am rambling today, to get on with this card the white and Green circles hve been cut with Nesties and I have threaded green ribbom through the edges, the ribbon was a RAK from my dear friend Pam (thanks dear), flat backed pearls are from stash.

I have used another PB Bunny for the inside coloured again with Copics.

Woodland Friends - Friday Sketchers

Its a lovely sketch this week from Carole of Stardust Gems and Ribbons, I have always loved Caroles cards and now I love her sketches it is a simple sketch but very adaptable. To see Carole's and the Other DT members inspiring cards and join the challenge just click HERE

Another Penny Black Image for this one, isn't it just so cute I only got it this morning and couldn't wait to use it. It has again been coloured with Copics then matted onto Green and Pink Base Card, I run the Green pearlescent card though the Cuttlebug Leaf Folder. The papers are imaginise. The tab has been punched with SU punch, sentiment is by Imaginise, rest from stash.

The papers have been carried over to the inside and have been punched with MSDP the little calendar stamp is by Imaginise, as is the Make a Wish rub on. I do not have a corner die so I had to make the photo corner, it was quite easy, punch out a 1" sq cut in half to make a triange, then cut another triangle from the middle of that one.
Did I explain that properly he!he!

Lastly I have recieved this lovely award from the sweet and talented
Julie, if you have not visited Julies blog please pop over you will not be disappointed. Thank you very much for this Julie Mwah!!!!!!

A Sweet Sugar Valentine

Love and Romance - Challenge 3 Sugar Bowl

As February is the month of St Valentines Day, and this challenge will end on the 12th of February, I thought I'd give us all a head start making Valentines cards! Please make a card, or other project, following the theme of Love & Romance!
This is what we are asked us to produce for
the Sugar Bowl Challenge this week. Don't forget to check the rules for the challenge which are on the side bar of the blog and do check out the fabulous DT cards.

I am loving these Leanne Ellis images available from Funky Kits, they are so easy to colour. I have coloured her with Copics and added a little glamour dust to the three hearts, She has been matted onto Pink and blue base card. The DP is by Imaginise. I have even managed to make the paper beads which are the project on Sugar Sugar Blog, I was really pleased how these turned out and will certainly be making more of them. rest from stash.

I have only decorated one side of the inside of the card this time, I have carried over the paper, cut a heart with Nesties and distressed the edges with worn lipstick
Distress Ink, Ribbons from stash, Sentiment is Whiff of Joy

The hearts have been cut with the Heart Nesties.

The Papers have been carried onto the inside of the card I have used the MDSP and the Heart Nesties. I stamped and coloured another Melinda Blowing Kisses and cut with the oval nestie to carry the theme on to the inside.

The unusual colour flowers are Imaginise they are really silky and strokable. Swirls were cut on Cricut, Charm from Marlenes Shop on E-bay, and the heart brads are from Imaginise but I have coloured them to match the papers with a Copic Marker.

Stamping with Stampavie - Sketch by Sorellina

Its a lovely sketch for you this week by the talented Sorellina at Stamping with Stampavie, thanks Sorellina it was great to work with. To see the sketch and the lovely cards by my fellow DT members just click Here.

First I have to apologise for the quality of the photo it was dark when I took it and the colours look very washed out. I have coloured the lovely Lelo Cats stamp with Copic Markers, I have used different card from my usual SU Whisper White, so this is a bit of an experiment as the colours are actually strong on this card, but I am quite pleased with it and I must admit the markers blend brilliantly on this card. I have cut the image with Oval nesties. The papers are Basic Grey Bittersweet, The little tag has been made from an Autumn Leaves set and the sentiment is from Aud Designs. Rest from stash.

The inside is decorated with the same basic Grey Bittersweet papers, the sentiment is also from Aud Designs, and the coupon stamp was in my sentiments box and I don't know who its by sorry!!!! The Heart Brad is Imaginise.

A Skunk and a Fairy

Friday Sketchers

have a brilliant sketch by Bea for us this week, Bea it was great to work with thanks so much. To check out the sketch and to see the inspiration provided by the great and talented Dt just click Here

When I first saw this sketch I thought it wasn't for me I don't do tearing No!No!No!
but then I remembered someone had told me ages ago that if you were unsure about tearing just lay a metal rule on the paper and tear against the rule, Voila it worked he!he! I have just received my stamps from the lovely Denise of
Whimsey Stamps, and I couldn't wait to ink up this supercilious Little Skunk, look at that smug look on his face. He has been coloured with Copic Markers and the base card cut on the oval nestie. Thr papers are BG. The ribbon is from Poppicrafts and label is SU, buttons and pearls from stash. I have run a brown chalk eye pad around the outside of all the papers and tied a knot on each button with raffia.

As this is a mans card I have tried to keep the inside quite plain will add a verse later when I know who it is for.
