Morning Everyone, before I start on the blurb about my cards, I am after some help and support, after giving up smoking for 9 months I started again and am now finding it even harder to give up this time, is there anyone out there who would like to join me in trying to give up, it is so much easier when doing it with someone else, perhaps we could visit each other every other day to offer support to each other, anyone interested just leave a comment. Thanks

Right now down to the serious business, This is my first, but I am sure not last, Valentines card for this year, I think this lovely PB Stamp is just perfect for Valentines Day and is also so easy to colour, I have used my copics again on this one. The papers are DCWV (you are going to be seeing a lot of these in the future, I just adore them they are so yummy, lovely quality and already glittered). The papers and image have all been matted onto Brown and Pink Base Card. Flowers and Brad from stash. I have been meaning to make a kick card every since I saw the fabulous examples by the lovely
Annie from Inknrubba, who I am sure you all know, thanks for the inspiration Annie.

I am really pleased with the inside of this one.

and here is the back.

DT CARD FOR WHIFF OF JOY

This card is a just because card, just because I cannot get enough of these wonderful cute little Critters by Alison Action from the Whiff of Joy Party Animals Collection. Don't forget there is a new collection from Elizabeth Bell to be released very soon by Whiff of Joy, check out Katharinas Blog on Sunday for a sneak peak. The new release will be available for Pre-Order from Monday 12th January, just click Here to go direct to the On-line Shop.

I have gone back to using Distress Inks and H20's for this smug little lamb. hope he is stepping carefully on those presents wouldn't want him to ruin them, I like Distress Inks for the softer look, (I am enjoying having the choice of colouring mediums though). More Papers from the DCWV Stack (I did warn you). I haven't used any embellies on this card as I think the Papers and the Cute image need to take centre stage. The Sentiment is computer generated.

Here is a closer view for those who like to see the colouring.

I have used another of the great stamps from the Party Animals Collection for the inside of the card this has again been coloured with Distress Inks. I have left the message page quite simple this time. The sentiment is by PB.

Before I go I have another question, has anyone tried the new Tim Holts Crackle Paints yet, if so what do you think of them, I am really tempted to get some but would appreciate some feedback before I do, as I have well overspent already this year

Have a Great Weekend everyone.
Thanks for looking
Hugs
Jacqui xx

Oh these are both adorable Jacqui. The first one is just fabulous - all the detail is wonderful and it makes it verrry special. Love the image on the second one, it is sooo sweet, and beautifully coloured.

I've not tried the crackle paints sorry :( but I did give up smoking in October 1989 (isn't it sad that I remember). I know what a hard thing it is to stop - unless you have tried to do it, you cannot appreciate the difficulty. I tried 4 times before I did it. I read somewhere once that they are as hard to give up as heroin. And the problem is that we have these receptors in our brain that get used to the nicotine and it's these little sods that tell us, nay demand that we have one. Once they dont have any for a few days, they become less acive, if that is the right word, and eventually they stop bothering us. You can go a long time without cigarettes but the minute you have one again, these receptors spring back as bad as ever. You only need to have one and that's all it takes. So anyone that says oh its easy, sure don't know chick!! Can you tell my daughter is an addiction specialist btw lol xxx. After a few days, the physical need goes, but then it's all down to the old brain after that. Practical things I found helped me were fresh orange juice (it kills the craving), and avoidance tactics. And also, I told myself that it wasn't a quitting thing, but I just kept putting off the time till the next one. So I'll have one in an hour. The hour came and went and it was like, well I'll just wait another hour. Eventually the hours became days and so on. I had to have packet with me all the time cos I got it into my head that if I didn't, I would really need one, ie wanting what I couldn't have if that makes sense. The fact that I had them and was choosing not to have one gave me some control which made it easier. Now this wouldn't work for some people, but it was what got me to stop. I wish you the best of luck Jacqui and hope you succeed. You will one day if you really want to do it, I just know you will xxxxxx

Hi Jacqui, hope your well hun.
Oh wow these are two adorable cards and I love the way you've decorated the inside too - gorgeous !! Love the new WOJ image.

About you need for support on giving up smoking.. it's a very bad habit that I too have and would love to give up. I've been telling myself every year that this is the year I'm going to do it, but the stress of work I just don't seem to find the will power. The other thing is the thought of putting on weight, as I know a lot of my friends have and really don't want that to happen - so I need to turn to something else than food !!!
But saying all that I really need a kick up the backside to do something about it and having someone there who is going through the same is a great idea ... so count me in... omg... now Im scared !!
I'll email you later and chat more hun.
Hugs
Tracie :)xx
