Falling Leaves

Stamp with Fun

Sorry I am late posting this, we have company staying so can only get up here in short bursts. This is my DT card for Stamp with Fun and also Whiff of Joy, another of Elizabeth Bells fabulous Fall Collection for 2009 (there is some great Whiff of Joy News at the bottom of this post).

I have coloured this beautiful Willow image with Distress Inks (Dried Marigold, Shabby Shutters, Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Frayed Burlap). The Papers are from Bloom and Grow Download available from Sweet Shoppe Designs. On my daily visit to the fantastic Rach's blog I find her fabulous tutorial on making flowers so just had to have a go, this is my first try so hope to get better, it is a fantastic tutorial and I really enjoyed making this rose.

On the subject of Flower Tutorial Just Magnolias Tutorial for this month features Handmade flowers and was created by the talented Michelle from Mt Little Space on the WWW, I am dying to try these flowers and will be off to but my Sizzix dies as soon as I have finished this post. Don't forget to check out the Just Magnolias Tutorial and hopefully join us in the challenge this month.

I have used 2 more of the Whiff of Joy Fall Collection stamps on the inside.

The following information was taken from Katharina's Blog

Tea for Two

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Its Christmas come early at Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week, we would love to see your Christmas creations using Penny Black stamps, its never too early to get started on Christmas Cards for me as I need so many and usually I leave them all to the last minute. We have a fabulous prize from Dick at PB Stamps on offer to one lucky winner.

Its Vintage PB again from me this week, the image has been coloured with COPICS, it seemed really strange to use blocks of colour with no shading but I felt this image need bold colours. The papers are from a very old CD, and the snowflakes were made with the new Nesties Snowflake dies, I used plain white card then added loads of Glitter to them once they had been cut. (Be careful how you get these snowflake shapes out of the dies).

Here are the copic colours I used for the image

Recipe:
Stamp - Penny Black from PB Stamps
Papers - CD
Colouring Medium - Copics
Tools - Nesties Snowflake Die
Embellies Charms from Bunny Zoes Crafts rest from stash

There is some brilliant inspirational creations from my fellow DT members (and some sneak peeks of the new LOTV Stamps, I am pleased to tell all those who pre-ordered these stamps that they will be shipping anyday now, and if you didn't pre-order why not pop over to the Lili of the Valley Website and see the complete new range of stamps, at the most incredible price of £3.50 each). We hope you can join us this fortnight. Don't forget it is not necessary to use Lili of the Valley products on your creation
.
Domis lovely Sketch

This is Teddy holding Present from the new Teddy Set of 4 Stamps from Lili of the Valley isn't he cute. He has been coloured with Copics (colours below), and the image cut out with Circle Nesties, the papers are a mix from my stash drawer again. The flowers were actually white but I sprayed them with Lava Red Cosmic Shimmer I added the lovely spacers with a pearl in the middle for some more bling, I just love the result, shame you cannot see how they sparkle IRL. I also sprayed the punched Pine Branch with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist.

Here are the colours of the Copics I used on Teddy

An Award

I was given this lovely award by my dear friend Shirley, who is not only a fabulous crafter but also one of the nicest people in blogland thanks Shirley Mwah xxx. In order to accept this award I have to tell you 5 of my Sins (ONLY 5) so here goes

1 - I just cannot give up the dreaded weed no matter how hard I try
2 - I adore Condensed Milk and could eat a whole tin of it in one go!!!! (and often do)
3 - I spend far too much on crafting if I see stamps I like I just have to have them, I have so many stamps here that have not even seen Ink!!!!!
4 - I leave everything to the last minute and am always playing catch up especially with DT projects and cards.
5 - My idea of a good tidy up is stuffing things in drawers and cupboards you take your life in your hands opening one of my cupboards.

Well I hope you don't think too badly of me after this confession :D, I am supposed to pass this award on to 10 people but how could I choose just 10 of you lovely and wonderful friends who visit me everyday so I will just say a big thanks to you all and invite you to take this award.

Have a great day

The lovely Sonja has designed a fabulous sketch for this weeks challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar, don't forget to check out the fantastic cards made by my fellow DT members and also see what lovely candy is on offer this week. Looking forward to seeing your creations.

Nikki from Bunny Zoes Crafts sent me a lovely DT package this week and this gorgeous little Bildamarna Stamp was one of the goodies. I couldn't wait to colour up little Flying Tossa, I used Distress Inks again (Broken China, Shabby Shutters, Tea Dye, Dried Marigold and Tattered Rose). I have used Labels Nesties to cut out the image and have Used Dried Marigold ink to distress the edges. We also have a spectacular prize this week from the very generous and lovely Nikki of Bunny Zoes Crafts, so please come and join us.

I love these Summer Tildas, and this one is my favourite, she was coloured with Distress Inks (Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters, Broken China, Tea Dye, Tattered Rose), the water below the surf board was achieved with a watery wash of Broken China Ink and I added lots of Glimmer Dust to the Waves. (Oppps!! I have just noticed Tilda is on a bit of a skew).

I have used another Tilda stamp inside with a Magnolia sentiment stamp.

What a week

Wow!!! I have so missed card making and blogging this week, feels as if I have been away for ages and I am sure there is lots to catch up with. I have spent the whole week to-ing and fro-ing between Margate and Canterbury, but have had a lovely time with Ben, Robert and Sam the dear GS, I thought getting the older boys from under Vikkis feet was the best help I could provide and the weather was brilliant so we went out everyday. My lovely new grand-daughter has had a name change we all loved Sienna but after spending a couple of days with her she just seemed to be a Lucy!!! so she has now been registered as Lucy Jacqueline Susan, she is doing well has put on 1.1/20zs over her birth weight, and the biggest blessing of all is she goes 6 hours at night between feeds. Will post some more pictures tomorrow. Thanks so much for all your lovely wishes I have passed them on to James and Vikki and they were overwhelmed with how many people sent such lovely comments.

I have not made a card this week, but this is my DT card for Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge that I should have posted last week. the Lovely Debby from Scrap Journey did a fabulous tutorial for us and I learnt loads from it, thanks so much Debby. This is how I coloured and cut the 3d elements for the card.

I have coloured Tilda with Copics (colours below), The fabulous papers are from Nanas Nursery from Bunny Zoes Craft.

I tried to get a good photo of the 3ding I am afraid this is the best I could do.

Here are the copics I used.

I hope to back to full time blogging tomorrow, thanks once again for all you wonderful comments, I am off to do a bit of blog hopping now, have a great weekend everyone.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Before we get down to this weeks challenge I have some exciting news from Lili of the Valley, they have just uploaded lots of new and exciting products to their website, including the most fantastic cute Die Cuts, and 5 new sets of stamps designed by 3 new and extremely talented artists, Annabel Spenceley, Chris Gaisey and Tricia Harrison. Due to an unprecedented demand they are taking pre-orders for the stamps at the moment, all pre-orders will be sent out from 22nd August.

There are 5 sets of stamps with 4 stamps in each set, the normal price will be £3.50 each stamp, but as a special offer if you pre-order 4 stamps it will cost you just £12. These are a good size, and I really cannot believe that they are such a reasonable price. To see these fabulous new stamp collections and Die Cuts and to pre-order just click here to go to Lili of the Valley Website.

This week challenge is "SO CHARMING" we would like to see a charm/charms used somewhere on your creation, the Dt have been luck enough to get their hands on a selection of the products before the release and have produced some fantastic cards to give you a couple of sneak peeks. Lili of the Valley are also donating a Surprise Package for one luck winner so I do hope you can some and join us at Lili of the Valley Challenge.

I couldn't make up my mind which of the lovely Christmas Bunny stamps to use so decided to go for 2 cards this week, the other 2 stamps are just as gorgeous, I still cannot believe that LOTV are only charging £3.50 per stamp, that has got to be one of the best bargains out there,

Both Images have been coloured with Copics the papers are from my scrap drawer.
