Wild Orchid Craft DT Cards – New Hellebores

Fidsketch2a

I received my wonderful DT package from Wild Orchid Crafts this week and inside were the most delicious Hellebores, I just couldn't wait to give you a Sneak Peek as I know you are going to just want to own some of these.  You may take a double take when you see todays cards, as I have used the same papers and colours on both,  I loved the colour scheme so much but I also wanted to get a couple of DT cards up here today and withthe papers and copics being on my desk it was the quickest way!!!.

Fidsketch2

My First card I a going to enter for Friday Sketchers  this week where there is a stunning sketch by Claudia Rosa (its perfect dear xxxx).  The papers are from the Christmas Magnolia Collection from Crafts U Love they are yummy.  The Snowflakes are also from Crafts U Love and are a Magnolia Doo Hickey Die set that also comes with Mistletoe Die which you will see on the next card.  I have Distressed the edges of the snowflakes with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, then I used two Magnolia Snowflake Stamps and Spun Sugar to make a background which I then went over with Glue Pen and Crystal Glamour Dust.

Here is a close up of the  Pink Edged Hellebore I have used 10mm Roses, Rosebuds, and Crystals all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Hellebores will be available on the website from Monday, wouldn’t want to be in Paul and Siris shoes on Monday as I am sure the website will go mad and they will have lots and lots of packing up to do.

Fidsketch3

Of course the awesome stamp used is from Lili of the Valley Christmas Collection and is called “Dropping the Shopping”

The Copics used on this and the card below are:

Flesh: E21, E00. E000

Coat: B01, B00, B0000

Doggie and Bag C2, C1, C00

Sat Sketcha

My Next Card is again using a Lili of the Valley Stamp Skating Along, another of my favourites, No to be honest every single Lili of the Valley stamp is my favourite!!! This card is going to be entered for Sketch Saturday Challenge

SketchSat1

Most of the card uses the same products as the one above, except for the Snowflake which is a large Martha Stewart Punch, I have used a plain White Hellebore on here and have added Stardust Glitter around the edge of the petals, photo hasn’t picked this up very well.  I have used Twinklets for the snow, and the fabulous Mistletoe, which I have distressed with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink is a Magnolia Doo Hickey Christmas Die.

SketchSat2

You could have a chance to own some of these Hellebores  you need to check the Wild Orchid Crafts Blogs  this evening when Bev will be posting some delicious Candy

Have a great weekend and enjoy your extra hours sleep

This card owes a big thank you to the local £1 shop, The Silver Leaves, Charm and Pine Cone all came from there, surprising what you can find in a pound shop, I must admit I am a bit of a snob and I have to wear my dark glasses when shopping there just in case anyone sees me :).   This is one of the new Christmas Magnolias from Bunny Zoes Crafts, I didn’t get too many this time s I though a lot of them were very similar to last years but couldn't resist  this one, I wouldn’t put any money on me not going back and ordering some more though.

The Traditional Papers are from the Memory Box Spiceberry Paper Pad from Quixotic Paperie, the swirls are punched and the sentiment is from the new Lili of the Valley Christmas Sentiment sheet.

A Challenge Card at Last and yet another Sneak Peek

Friday Sketcha

I have been so tied up with Commissions, Sneak Peeks, DT cards  and behind the scenes stuff that I just have not had time to enter any challenges or ink up any of my new stamps, so I decided to break the bonds and escape for just a few hours and make a card just for me.  Searching for a Challenge to enter I came across the sketch on Friday Sketchers and bingo I knew that was the one I would enter.

Friday Sketch

I have had this H&S stamp for Months and never used it and the backing papers have also been languishing in my Paper Stacks for a few weeks, the papers are from a Tilda 12x12 Pack called Angel Love from Panduro, the beautiful lace corner is also from Panduro.  I have distressed all the edges of the Paper and the image with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink then run Stardust Stickles all around them.  The Heart is a small Chipboard embellie that Ihave had for years, I painted it with Tim Holtzs Crackle Paint.  The Rose was made using the Large Sizzix Tim Holtzs Grunge Flowers  Die.

Somewhere here in Mums house there is a photo of me when I was about 3 wearing a Turban and Pinafore  helping my Nan doing the washing in an old tin bath  and when I first saw this image it bought back so many memories of my childhood with the best Nan in the world,  we didn’t have much money and no electricity, just gas light and an old copper boiler and wash day was always Monday.  I am sure it was a chore to Nan but to me it was the best time of the week I was allowed to play with Soap and Water and make a mess!!!! I will try to dig out the photo and post it on here.

I have used Copics to colour Rosie, the papers are a Nitwits download, the borders are punched with a Martha Stewart Border Punch, the 10mm Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon from Stash and Teapot Charm from Whiff of Joy .  The Sentiment is from the New Sentiments Collection being released at the same time as the Girlie Stamps by Lili of the Valley.

A Cheeky Sneaky

headera

I really shouldn’t be showing you this Sneak Peek from Lili of the Valley,  we had intended to start showing the new stamps from Monday 25th.  But as I had no card made for the weekend I went on bended knees to Lisa and Laila  for special permission to show this :), they are such lovely girls that of course they said yes.

Lili of the Valley will be launching 9 new Girlie stamps at the NEC at the beginning of November, as well as  3 exciting sets of Circular Sentiments and 2 Calendar Stamps.  These will then be for sale on the Lili of the Valley website from 12th November.  We thought we would start showing Sneak Peeks from this week as most of you get paid at the end of the Month and you may want to save a few pennies for these little cuties.

a

This is from a set of 5 stamps called Party Girls and this one is  “It’s My Party”, how many of us know a darling little Princess capable of pulling a mega strop like this, I just adore this image, it is going to take over from Fairy TipToe as my all time favourite Lili of the Valley Stamp.  The Circular sentiment is also from one of the 3 new sentiment Stamp Plates, there are 12 sentiments on each sheet and they cover everything from Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas and so much more.

The papers are from the memory Box Gossamer Pad available from Quixotic Paperie, I have used a Martha Stewart Border Punch, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

007
The Copic Colours used are:
Flesh – E21, E00, E000
Hair – E17, D15, E13, E51

006ab

On Just Magnolia we are promoting Breast Cancer Awareness month, I’m sure a lot of you know our amazing teamie Jacque is celebrating beating the disease and we wanted to show our support and love for a very special lady, and also for all the very special ladies that have fought/are fighting the disease.  So our theme for this week is “THINK PINK”.  Nice and simple, use some pink on your creation and you could be the winner of the fabulous prize and also will be showing your support!!  We really hope you can join in this week.  We are also being Sponsored by Wild Orchid Crafts again and Paul and Siri have come up a stunning collection for one lucky winner.

006a

Grrrrrrrrr!!! I am hopeless at taking photos of Easel cards, so I have lots of Piccies today trying to get a better view of the card.  I love this Tilda and I think she is just the perfect image for what we are trying to celebrate this week,  The Sentiment is from Magnolia, I had forgotten I had bought this a couple of years ago, but found it when I was trying to organise ALL My Tildas.

009

I have distressed the edge of the Heart Doyley with Fired Earth Distress Ink to add some interest, and used Copics to colour Tilda, the colours used on her little cat suit are R83, R81, RV000, RV0000 and her Hair has been coloured with E71, E70, E41.

010a

And here are the lovely flowers I have used to make the spray of course all are available from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Lil of the Valley Challenge and a Little bit of Hope

007b

Morning everyone, its my favourite time of the week, Lili of the Valley Challenge day.  This week we have a theme for you “WINTER FUN” and a prize that is well worth winning a £10 voucher to spend on the  Lili of the Valley Website.

0077
I have used James in the Snow for this easel card, I love these papers but not sure who makes them as they are stored in a plastic bag with no cover or information.  Behind James I have used the Spellbinders Snowflake Die which I have added colour to with Fired Earth Distress Ink then  using a Glue Pen I have added lots of Glamour Dust.  The Snowflakes are all punched with Martha Stewart Punches and again distressed with Fired Earth.  The sentiment stamped on to the Magnolia Lable Die is from Butterfly Kisses. The snow has been raised with a Snow Writer Pen and then Glamour Dust sprinkled over the top whilst it was still wet.

008b
Copics Used:
Fur: E53, E51, E50, Hat: R17, R05, R02: Scarf: YG71, YG73, E40

001d

I coloured this image up  at the weekend but have not had time to make it into a card until last night.  I am using this as a DT card for Quixotic Paperie as without thinking everything I used on here is available from QP.  Just to let you know Elaine has added all these new products to the website
Stempelglede New Release Pre-Orders - and older designs are available to reserve.
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps October Release
Pink Paislee New 6x6 pads

I am entering this card for Sketch Saturday Challenge   where the sketch is as usual stunning.

This wonderful angel is from The Elizabeth Bell for SCACD Collection and is called “Angel of Hope”, she has been coloured with Copics and Glamour Dust has been added to her wings.  The Papers are from the Marianne Designs Roses are Red pad, ohhhhh these papers are just sublime, I have used  Whimsey Stamps Sentiments Set stamp for the sentiment.  Lastly the Frame for the image is Marianne Designs LRO117.

004a
I am not very good at Halloween cards they are really not my thing (I like sweet and cute as you all know) so I really struggled with this card.  The papers are a Download from Polka Doodles Halloween Bundle, and the Background, Mummy and Pumpkins are Black and White Digi Images from the Polka Doodles Sundae of Seasons CD, I have used Copics to colour the images, distress the background edge with Black Soot Distress Ink, and embossed with Crystal EP.  I have used Glossy Accents on the Windows.  I have also entered this for Top Tips Tuesday  where they have a theme this week "Any thing Goes"

004d
Copics used:
Bandages: N2, N3, C00
Pumpkins, Windows: YR16, YR15, YR00, C10, YG99, YG91

001b
Here is my second Sneak Peek from the New Crafters Companion SWALK release this one is called as you can guess “Groovy Gran” and I lurve her!!!!!!!

001a

I have again used backing papers from the New SWALK CD the Damask Paper at the back is my favourite from the whole CD and is going to feature a lot on my cards.  I have used the plaid paper to punch my flowers, and coloured the image with Copics.  I coloured this a while ago and I know I made a note of the copics I used but can I find the note!!!  I am just confirming here what you all know, I am the most disorganised crafter ever.
Oooo I forgot to tell you too, I have found the PERFECT, and I mean PERFECT card for stamping and colouring with your alcohol pens, such as Copics and Promarkers, you will be able to find it on the Crafters Companion Website from Monday, it’s called Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, its 216gsm, is ultra ultra smooth, and perfect for seamless blending. Even better than that its only £3.99 per pack for 20 sheets – trust me, if you love your promarkers and copics – you need it,  I know all of us on the DT are just blown away by it.

001c

Don't forget the Crafters Companion Blog Hop (see post below on how to get started) all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher is follow the hop, pop a post on your own blog and leave a link back to it on Mr Linky on the Crafters Companion News, Views and Inspiration Blog.  So do come and join us
