A Spoonfull of Sugar and a Guinea Pig!!!!

ASFS1a

Sorry I am a bit late with uploading this morning, its been a bit hectic here.  Anyway its Tuesday that means its time for A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge, this week we have a theme for you to use the colours “BLUE AND GREEN”,  my fellow teamies have really pushed out the boat this week and created some stunning cards using this colour scheme.

ASFS1

Today I have used one of the new Lili of The Valley Molly Harrison Fairies "Garden of Wishes”, I am loving her in these colours.  The papers are from my stash and I think are a couple of years old so no idea who made them.  I am into swirls at the moment and have used a die from Mariannes Dies to create these two.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valleys  circular sentiment set.

I have used Seam Binding from Wild Orchid Craft and had a go at distressing it, I don’t possess any Mini Misters as recommend by Bev and like us all I couldn’t wait so thought I would try it with Glimmer Mist it seems to work!!, The ribbon started off  as a pale aqua blue, I scrunched the ribbon and sprayed it with Key Lime Pie  and Pearl  Glimmer Mist, then dabbed all over with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, as I said I am really pleased with the results.

The Copics used on this image are:

Flesh E21, E00, E0000, Hair E71, E70, E40, Wings YG11, G20

I never imagined I would make a card using a Guinea Pig image, but I just love this little well dressed gentleman.  He is one of the images from the Beatrix Potter Appley Dapply Stamp Plate that is released on Friday 21st by Crafters Companion, there is a fabulous CD full of Backing Papers, Decoupage, Greetings in fact everything you would expect from a Crafters Companion CD, they really are the best in the crafting CD market.

001

Now those of you who know me well, know I have a orange phobia!!!!, and I have made 2 orange cards in 2 days, I must be conquering it!!!  The base easel card was made with the smallest die in the GoKreate Scalloped Circle XXL Die, the largest layer is a Mariannes design Doiley Die Cut, and then I have used circle nesties to cut the rest of the layers.  The BP comes from the accompanying CD.

002

The Sentiment is from the stamp stamp sheet and has been inked with Versafine Brown Ink.  Roses and Seam Binding are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the large pearls are from Quixotic paperie.

Hope you like

Hugs Jacqui xx

That first card I saw as your DT card somewhere and I had to come and tell you how beautiful it is. I loved that line of paper by (I think) Bo Bunny. Once I got to your blog and started looking for the card I have found an amazing place of information and knowledge that I am now a follower so I can be updated on what you are up to next. You are a true inspiration.
