Just Magnolia & hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge
I hope this posts as I have scheduled it and you know what I am like with these technical things, way out of my league, I suppose one day I will have to go on a course to get more PC savvie, in the meantime there is good old Bev to fall back on, she must get fed up with me always asking how do you do this!!!!!!
Anyway I am off to sunny Leeds early this morning and will not be back until Sunday Afternoon, don’t miss me too much :) Mums carers have strict instructions on how to look after Rosie (my new puss for those who don’t know) Oh and Mum of course. Now I have a funny story for you about Rosie I think she must belong to A Bengal Royal Family, I happened to walk in as she had just finished using the Litter Tray she walked straight over to her Water bowl and dipped each paw into it to wash her feet, I had been wondering for a couple of days why there were wet paw prints all over the kitchen floor, is this Normal behavour for a CAT!!!!!!
Right after all that I suppose I had better get down to my Just Magnolia & hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge card ( I can see I am going to have to cut that down to JM&H&S). Our theme for you this week is Going Dotty I think I have complied with this. The papers are from The First Edition Paper Pad Sweet Owl that I used on yesterdays card, I love the Pinks and Mink colours in this pad. The Doiley Die is a new addition to me crafting stash, it is a Die-namics Die and is available from the lovely Tracy at Dies to Die For. The Border is a MS punch and the Swirl a Hoo Hickeys Die I bought from Crafts U Love.
The flowers and Pins are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Flesh E21, E00, E0000, Jumper R83, R81, RV000, YG93, YG91, E40 Hair & Trousers: E74, E71, E70 and E40

My Little Valentine
Our challenge this week on A Spoonfull of Sugar is VALENTINE, cannot believe it just a few weeks away, not that I will be receiving any, my days of getting valentine are in the dim distant past Ahhhhh!!! no you don’t have to feel sorry for me :)
I am not happy with this card, but I don’t know why, after my bright cards I think it may be that it looks a bit insipid not sure!!I found these papers when I was trying to tidy up my BP drawers nothing on it to tell me who makes it though. I like this Valentine Tilda even though her head is quite big again, the stamp behind the image is also from Magnolia, and I have distressed it with Spun Sugar DI.
Wild Orchid Craft Flowers a usual and I have used lots of heart charms to add interest. More Seam Binding and an awful lot of pearls finish the front of the card.
I have decorated the inside with the last of the paper and two more Magnolia Stamps.
Flesh: E21, E00, E000, Hair, E71, E70, E40, Dress B01, B000, B0000, Hearts & Boots R81, RV000, RV0000
May try to take some better photos later if there is more good daylight.

Sketch Saturday
Hope you all had a good weekend and are ready to start a new week.
At last I have made card for a challenge, I was scanning through my favourite challenges when I came across this lovely sketch for this week challenge on Sketch Saturday.
I have stacks and stacks of backing paper in my drawers and boxes but I am so loving the Nitwits downloads they are the first place I go to when I am looking for papers, these papers are from a set I downloaded a few months ago called Butterfly Kisses. The sweet bears are another stamp from the Spring Collection from Bildmalarna available from Bunny Zoes Crafts . The lovely Diamond Lace is from The Ribbon Girl and I have punched the flowers with the small Retro Flower Punch.
The sentiment is a stamp by Penny Black, I have used the smallest label die from Go-Kreate I have masked the stamp to get the word Friend stamped on the label. There is a little pocket for a written sentiment behind the card.
The Copics used:
Fur: E53, E51, E50 Cupcakes R83, R81, RV000, G82, G40, G20, Branch: E17, E15, E13

A Little Valentine
I thought I would make a gate fold card for a change forgetting how difficult it would be to photograph, doh!!!!, but I have had a go anyway. I have always been a bit of a pastel girl and felt really uncomfortable when I have tried to use brighter colours, but thats the good thing about blogging you see other bloggers wonderful creations and want to do something like it. So Here is another “Brighter” card.
The inspiration for the colours on this one is the my gorgeous new papers from Nitwits collection “From The Heart” lovely Blue and Red papers. The stamp is of course from Lili of the Valley called “Love is in the Little Things” sentiment is also include on the stamp plate. I have used some moe of my new Go-Kreate Dies to cut out the image I am loving the shapes of their dies.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the lovely lace is from The Ribbon Girl, I have again used the Mariannes dies Swirl I can always find a space for this on my card :)
I have decorated the inside to compliment the front and used two cuts punched with a Martha Stewart Heart Punch.
The Copics used:
Flesh: E21, E00, E0000, Shirt and Cardigan B95, B93, B91, Flowers, Skirt and Shoes R39, R37, R35, Hair & Hat E53, E51, E50./

Saturday Selection
A Happy weekend to you all, I have woken up full of the joys of spring shame about the weather wish it matched my mood. For the 2nd night in a row Rosie slept on my bed :), it is amazing there has been none of the hiding behind chairs and running away when anyone approaches that is usual when you introduce a new cat to the house. She immediately decided which was her chair, whos lap she likes and after just 3 days now rules the household!!!
I decided to make a card using the image I coloured for my little tutorial using Grace Standing from Sugar Nellie – Funky Kits, I raided my card scrap box for the papers I was aiming for the vintage look on this one. I have used another of my new Go-Kreate Die sets to cut out the image this one is called Rectangular Frilly No 6. I have distressed a torn piece of test paper and a doiley with Vintage Photo DI. Flowers as always are from Wild Orchid Crafts, Daisy Lace is from The Ribbon Girl, I have added flat back pearls from WOC to the edge of the lace. Butterflies are from Panduro.
I have again used on of the Kraft Pockets from The Ribbon Girl on the inside of the card, and have made a little greeting with A Stempleglede Sentiment.
The Copic colours used on this card can be found under my Tutorial on the side bar.
This card will shortly be available on my e-bay site

Just Magnolia
This week we are sponsored by The Cutting Cafe' and the fabulous prize this week is two sets of your choice from their amazing selection of files. Not only do they have fabulous cutting files but there is also a brilliant selection of digi stamps so do pop across to take a peek.
We have some good news and some sad news. Donalda has recovered after her surgery so has agreed to join the DT again, welcome back sweetie, we missed you. The sad news is we say goodbye to Marcea, who has been with us since the very beginning but is moving on to take on other crafting ventures. We will miss you heaps sweetie xx
This week we have a lovely sketch provided by Donalda. You can flip and rotate the sketch, as long as we can still see the elements of the sketch.
Tilda has been to a party today and has come home with a little Pink Balloon, doesn't she look pretty in her new Lilac Party Dress. This is one of the new Tilda images that I bought from Crafts U Love. The stunning Label is cut with a new set of dies from Go-Kreate, this is the largest Die, there are 4 dies in the set the two small labels are cut with the second size, these are going to be so useful, there are some fabulous new dies just posted on the Go-Kreate website in all the different size sets, I especially love the XXL dies expect to see me using more of them in the next few weeks. I have distressed the edges of the label with Milled Lavender DI and them added some Glamour Dust. The papers are by Magnolia and again came from Crafts U Love. I have used a Stempleglede flourish stamp to add some interest to the paper.
The lovely Lilac Gardenia and Pink Poppies are new items on the Wild Orchid Crafts website, as some as I received them I had to use them, these gardenias are really stunning. The Seam Binding has been distressed with Pearl and Snow Angel Glimmer Mist .
I have also decorated the inside of the card to complement the front.

Part 2 of Simply Adorables Copics Colouring Tutorial
The Copics you will need for this one are: Coat B97, B95, B93, B91 Dress E71, E70, E40, Shoes E74, E71, E40 Socks and Collar C2
Starting with the darkest colour B97 colour a narrow band around the coat as in Picture 1, with B95 with circular movements blend in the darkest colour and bring out almost to the edge of the coat as in Picture 2
The final stage on this side of the coat is to blend the dark and medium colours with B93 and take colour right up to the edge as in Picture 3. Now we start on the other side of the coat, with B97 colour a narrow band around the edge and down the fold as in Picture 4 (these Simply Adorable stamps are fantastic for working out where to put your light and shade as the darker areas have been crossed hatched).
Add a narrow band of B95 blending as you go as in Picture 5, then blend in B93 bring out a little bit further into the body of the coat as in Picture 6.
All that is left to do on this side is to blend previous colours with B91 and take the colour right to the edge Picture 7. Colour in the Button Band starting with B95 at the top and Bottom and B93 in the middle and colour the sleeves using the same markers and method as for the coat Picture 8
Now we cam start on her dress, with E71 colour a narrow band along all the edges and dark lines Picture 9, blend and bring colour out into dress with E70 as in Picture 10
Complete colouring of dress with E40, and colour the dark lines on Hem with E71 Picture 11, complete Hem in the same way as the dress, Colour the Ribbon with B95 and B93, then colour the contrast band on her coat with B95 and E70 Picture 12
Using E71 and B95 colour both sides of each socks as in Picture 13 carry on colouring socks using small band of colour and using the lightest in the middle. Colour shoes as in Picture 14 with E74
Colour the rest of the top of the shoe with E70 leaving a light white space in both shoes Picture 15 Finally use C2 to colour folds in socks and edge of collar, and colour ribbon as for coat. Picture 16
As all the colours are quite dark you will just need a Black Prisma/Polychromos pencil for the clothes, draw a thin line with the pencil where the sleeve meets the coat, down the sides of the coat, along the waistline of the dress, down sides of dress, and down the edge of the folds on the hem, finally along all sides of the socks and shoes as in picture 17 (hope you can see this) . Finally blend all the black lines with Sansodor and Pencil stumps, your image should now look like Picture 18
Hope this has been helpful, if you have any questions please e-mail me and I will try to answer them
Hugs
