A little something for your delectation!!

Crafters Companion Beatrix Potter Release

Hope you have some Biccies and a cup of tea on hand cos this is a long one. I have been getting so twitchy not being able to upload photos to my PC when I have lots of cards sitting here ready to post, and I am also feeling very glum that I couldn't join in the Wags'n Whiskers Blog Hop today (hopefully should be able to join in later as soon as my Camera and USB cable arrive). All that has changed after I had an e-mail from dear Sara at Crafters Companion telling us we can show some sneak peeks of next weeks VERY VERY special release!!!!!!! that will be Pick of the Day on Ideal World next Tuesday at 9pm, and as these had already been uploaded for a few weeks I could at last post!!!!!!

I did mention a little time ago that I was working on some very exciting new projects and this is the first of them, as you have no doubt guessed by the above photos the Stunning creations by Beatrix Potter are the theme of these new CD's and Stamp Sets. If this has got your Crafting Juices going there is lots more information Here, along with extra bonus items to download (including the most beautiful screen saver) and competitions with some great prizes, so if you are a member of Crafters Companion click the link and join in, if you are not already a member don't let that put you off just click the link and join, its well worth it, with loyalty points, great offers and an amazing array of crafting goodies to browse and it doesn't cost you a penny to join. Don't forget to set a reminder for the release show on Ideal World 9pm, next Tuesday 16th February.

Now down to the cards, this card is from one of 3 stamp sheets (Mrs Tiggy-Winkle) she has been coloured with Distress Inks and the beautiful background papers are from the Beatrix Potter 4 Disc CD set. I have used Oval Nesties to cut out the image, and Martha Stewart Border punch and Lattice Heart punch, with lots if Liquid Pearls, Crafters Companion stock a good range of Martha Stewart Punches and more are arriving all the time.

The next card (a double side step) has been created using a stamps from The Peter Rabbit Stamp Sheet, including the sentiments

I have coloured these with copics, and again the papers are from the new CD's.

I have used rectangle Plain and scalloped Nesties then cut out and 3d the images on top.

The label is another set from Spellbinders.

Last sneak peek is from the Tom Kitten Stamp Set, what a wonderful Mothers Day card this stamp would make

Again coloured with Copics, and backing papers from the CD's, I have used another Martha Stewart Border here, also Corner Punch and Large Medium and Small Flower Retro Punch to make the flowers which have been edged with Distress Ink.

Well hope you think this long post has been worth it, and I hope you are as excited as I am about this wonderful new Crafters Companion Release

Owen

This is the first of my scheduled cards it should be up at 12.30 Saturday, so hope it works.

I saw this fantastic image from Mo's Digital pencil on my dear friend Mina of Pink Puds blog, he so reminded me of my Grandson Owen, that I had to pop straight over to Mo's and but it.

I have used Copics and Prismas to colour the image, the papers are from Nitwits Collections, and of course a MS border pinch just had to be used. No embellies again, but I am coming to the conclusion that Mo's images don't really need embellies they speak for themselves.

Have another post scheduled for tomorrow so I hope this is working, I am such a real numpty where technology is involved.

Eggstravaganza and a Love Letter

Just Magnolia Challenge

A Basket/Box for Easter

Its the First challenge of that month that means we ask a guest designer to choose a theme and make a tutorial for us, this month we have the fabulous super talented Lena Katrine as our guest and she has created a tutorial for the most stunning Easter Basket, to see Lena Katrine's tutorial just click Here.

It is not necessary for you to follow the tutorial and we would be pleased to see any type of Basket or Box as long as you use a Magnolia Image. Of course as usual with out Monthly Tutorial our fantastic sponsor is Heidi from Simon Says Stamp.

When we saw the tutorial we (the DT) were a bit afraid of attempting it but to be honest Lena Katrine has written such a brilliant tutorial that the baskets really are very easy to make and – a word of warning – are rather addictive too! My little creation is just a shadow of some the the beautiful baskets and boxes created by my fellow DT members please pop over to the challenge site it would be a shame if you missed them.

I Love this Tilda with Tulips, must remember to use her more, she has been coloured with Distress Inks with added Glamour Dust. Lots of MS punches used on here too.

Of course the flowers come from Wild Orchid Crafts .

Wags'n Whiskers Challenge

Charming

We are asking you to use metal somewhere on your card or project. This could be charms, spacer beads, head pins, brads or any metal embellishment.

To play our challenges you must use a Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp as your main image to be entered into the prize drawing.

This gorgeous image is called "With Love", and is just so sweet, she has been coloured with Copics, the papers are Imaginise, Small Medium and Large Retro Flower punches have been used for the flowers.

I am off to Durham now until Wednesday, I will try to schedule my posts but will be unable to visit you and leave comments, hope I am excused. Hope you all have a truly brilliant weekend.

A Valentine

Whiff of Joy Challenge

Our Challenge this week is a theme!! LOVE!!! So please remember, we have only 1 rule and that is to use a Whiff of Joy Image. We can't wait to see your entry's this week and it will be a great way to get your Love their Valentine card done. lol

I thought I would make a little present to go with the card for this challenge. And of course with the theme of love what better WOJ image than Henry with Heart to use.

Bad quality pictures again today I am so sorry, The papers I have used are by Bo Bunny and I actually forgot I had them!!, Henry has been coloured with Distress Inks, Tea Dye and Worn Lipstick (yep just 2 colours). The Little Label is a Magnolia Image and the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.

The gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft. and Flat Backed Pearls from The Hobby House.

The little tin originally held a scented candle I cleaned it and have had it hanging around for ages, knowing one day I would do something with it. I cut 2 scalloped circles with The 2 largest size nesties, the largest is for the base and the 2nd largest is attached to the lid, I covered the sides with matching Paper and used the smaller Whiff of Joy Henry Hugging Heart image which has again been coloured with distress inks.

A New Addiction

Thank you Bev!!!!!!!

I had an e-mail from Bev on Sunday giving me a this Link to Crafts and Me and told me to look at some fantastic stamps created from the drawings of a fantastic artist Ching Chou Kuik. Well you know me and new stamps (I admit I am an addict) I just had to have some, well they arrived today (great service), and I just had to get everything else out of the way and colour one up, then I had to go back to the site and pre-order the new release!!!!. So if I have complaints from my Bank Manager I shall just have to tell him its all Bevs fault.

This wonderful image is called The Serene Night and wow what a dream she is to colour, I used copics and prismas to colour her and then had to search my paper stash to find DP to match, think I made the right choice. She needs no embellies, I am warning you now you will be seeing lots more of these fabulous gorgeous little darlings.

Sending you Love

The Sketch this week is by our very own Sonja, and is beautiful, thanks so much Sonja I really enjoyed using it.

Our Wonderful sponsor this week is Alison Spelman of Stretch 'N' Bubbles,Alison has kindly offered our winner four images of their choice, she has some cute images to choose from.

Thought I would colour Tilda with Copics this time, I see so many brilliant cards created with her coloured with them, but I cannot get used to the result and think I will go back to using Distress Inks with my Magnolias, she just looks strange to me. The hearts have been cut from Magnolia Papers with Nesties and the lace is from Tabby Crafts, Tab really has the best lace on the web and I must get over and order some more.
