Daily Jottings

001a

Back again after a break on Sunday, didn’t even turn on computer.  Todays card is for Magnolia-licious monthly Challenge.  So excited that the new Easter Magnolia images and papers are due to be dispatched this week hope you all got your pre-orders in.

001 I have used Milled Lavender, Tattered Rose and Frayed Burlap to colour Diary Tilda, I meant to add stickles to her dress but forgot!.  Of course the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and have been glittered with Star dust Stickles.  The yummy papers are from MME and are from the LUSH collection, they truly are lush with some of them flocked, it really hurt to cut these up.

002

Be back tomorrow, have a good week everyone, spring is nearly here.

005 Last Years St Patricks Day Tilda is perfect for Lucky Green, she has been coloured with Distress Inks, the papers are from Bearly Mine CD Designer Extreme.  Ribbon and the fabulous shamrock leaf is from this months Crafty Feelings Kit.  The Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I have distressed around the edges of the image and Nestie Scalloped circle with Frayed Burlap Distress Inks.

007

002aThe Sketch for this is from Truly Scrumptious Challenge and I also think it fits Simon says Stamp Challenge Mother’s Day/Girly.

002   Another of the lovely Spring Bildmalarna Images available from Bunny Zoes Crafts.  These are just the sweetest images and so lovely to colour, look at her little face I wonder what she is thinking!  She has been coloured with Distress Inks again (would you like me to state the colours I use when I colour with Distress Inks, let me know and I will try to remember).  The papers are Nitwits Collection Hopping Happy, these papers are just so soft I love them.

007a

This week our talented gal Karen is asking you to use create either a tag or bookmark. You may want to combine the tag with a card like some of our designers have done below.
To play our challenges you must use a Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamp as your main image to be entered into the prize drawing.

If you don't have any Wags 'n Whiskers, then it's time to go shopping!!!.

007

I decided on a tag for this challenge the image has been coloured with Copics, the papers are from Nitwits latest collection, I am loving the peaches and greens on this release.   I borrowed the idea for the swirls from Jane . Flat Backed Pearls are from The Hobby House.

A Little Box of Surprises

010a

Our challenge this week on Lili of the Valley Challenge is for you to make an Easel card, I do hope you will come and join us.  There are some terrific cards by my fellow Dt members on the Challenge Blog  and a Great Prize.

008 I am afraid there are quite a few photos on this post but I wanted you to see the whole box Card and image, I found the tutorial for this fabulous and easy to make  6”x6” box on Kirstens blog the link is Here, Kirstens box had a square card on the top but I thought the Easel card would work just as well.

010 I have used one of my favourite Lili of the Valley images “Rosie Posie” for this one and have coloured her with Distress Inks.  The papers are by Magnolia and have been distressed around the edges with Milled Lavender Distress Ink.

011 I haven’t added the sentiment yet as I am waiting for A Mothers day stamp to arrive which I want to use.  The Flowers are a mixture from Tabbycrafts and Wild Orchid Crafts and have been glittered to within an inch of their lives.

009 Well I have had a very unproductive day today, just couldn’t seem to get in the crafting mood and my Mojo is still missing I am glad I got my DT cards done early this week.

Thanks for visiting and leaving such lovely comments they really make my day.

BEADS

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge

006a

First I must apologise for the quality of this photo, have tried a couple of times to get a decent photo but no success.

Our challenge for you this week on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge is to use BEADS on your creation we are also looking for 2 new DT members so please pop over to the Challenge Blog to find out more.

006  Another of the Whiff of Joy Spring Shop Collection today, she has been coloured with Distress Inks, The papers are from K &Co and I have used a Martha Stewart Deep Border Punch. The Lace Border is something I picked up at Hobbycraft on my last expedition there, it is actually A Lace Cupcake Wrapper which I have trimmed to fit and edged with Distress Ink, as soon as I saw them I thought I would find a way to use them on my cards :).

004

Two for one

005a I think this card can qualify for two challenges Quixotic Paperie which is Cards for Men and Sketch and Sketch and Stash Challenge because I have used a new Image and New paper Pad and of course the sketch.

005Oh dear I am so easily tempted I went to check out Mo’s website Digital Penciltoo to see what images she had uploaded since my last visit and of course had to buy 4 of them, no will power I am afraid, but if you need a boys image I really think Mo’s are the best.  I have coloured this gorgeous little one with Copics, the Papers are from a new Kaiser Craft 6 x 6 pad which I bought from Sir Stampalot, but I notice they have now sold out, keep your eyes open it is a fab pad for Mens card.

004

It was so nice to visit you all yesterday, those I missed I hope to catch up on today.

Have a good day

002a

Happy St Davids Day, hope you all had a good weekend.  Well you may think the title of this post a bit odd so let me explain, WooHoo because I finished my Commission  work late last night, and BooHoo because I think I have worn my poor MOJO out and he has gone on walkabout, if you see him please send him back.  I have today planned out I am going to spend all the time blog hopping to see what I have been missing and also to try to get some inspiration from you all.

002Today's card follows a sketch on Friday Sketchers, and gave me a chance to use one of my new Spring Bildmalarna stamps,   Nikki has the collection in stock on her website, Bunny Zoes Crafts.  I have used distress inks to colour little Mimosa with her chicks.  The Papers are MME Quite Contrary collection and the yummy Daisy Ribbon is from Crafty Feelings it comes in lots of super colours. The Daffodil and Cherry Blossom are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Just Magnolia A Little Late

014a Late again posting my Just Magnolia Card, but I have a good excuse this time, I was rushing around early yesterday trying to get the HW done quickly , when I dropped a large Coffee Table on my foot, I ended up spending 4.1/2 hours in A&E , where eventually I had to have the large nail on my Big Toe removed as it was bleeding behind the nail.  I cannot explain the horrible pain this has left me with.

Well onto my card, this week on Just Magnolia Challenge our Challenge this week is BIRTHDAYS so we would like to see your birthday cards or presents featuring a magnolia stamp or stamps.

014This cute Tilda was bought at the NEC in November and  I think she must be one produced just for the shows as I haven’t seen her for sale anywhere.  I have used Distress Inks to colour her and used plenty of Stardust stickles on her dress and ribbons.  I made the Hat Pins from spare beads I had  in my bead box.  The Papers are by Magnolia.

013 Hope you all have a fabulous week end.  BTW I was so proud to have been chosen to be featured on Belles and Whistles Blog on Thursday it was a complete Surprise, Summer featured my card called Bear Hugs, thank you dear.

I have used Copics again for this one and have added Stardust Stickles and Glossy Accents to the cake and candles. The papers are by MME and are pre-glittered, very yummy . The ribbon is from Crafty Feelings and is one of the selection of delicious ribbons in Bev’s Bag for February. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts .

002
