Lili of the Valley Challenge

002a

Well I have scheduled this post as I could not go to bed until the last of the Chilean Miners was safe, what a fantastic day it has been, I cried every time  a miner appeared,  what a wonderful job the Rescue Team have done and for a change its nice to be able to congratulate a Government.  I just hope that now they are all safe that the media give them time to re-adjust and to spend time with their loved ones.  God Bless them all.

Its time for Lili of the Valley Challenge again and this week we have a fab sketch by Bev and a £10 voucher to spend on the website from Lisa and Laila at Lili of the Valley for one lucky winner.

002

I have used Lili of the Valley Snow Bears for this card and have coloured them with Copics, then added Glamour Dust (using Quickie Glue Pen).  The papers are again from Nitwits Collection Joyful Hearts and Joyful Hearts too.  The Snowflakes have been punched with Martha Stewart Punch and Ribbon is from Stash.

Thanks for looking and have a good day

Another Kenny K

kennyc

I am just loving these new Kenny K Christmas Images, having 4 sons I can see these be received with delight  by them all.  Its time we had some  images that really appeal to men, although I know a few girls who would love these too.

kenny

I had a bit of a play and experiment with this one but think I went a bit over the top with the embellies.  The paper is from Imaginise and was the last square left from the 12” sheet.  There is a white feather behind the frame which has been die cut with Marianne D Creatables Frames & Swirl  available from Crafters Companion, the swirls are part of the same die set.  the rather too large bow is made with Candy Apple tulle from Quixotic Paperie.  The Poinsettias and open aster are from Wild Orchid Craft.

I have used the same Red, Grey and Flesh colours as the previous card.

Have a good week everyone and thanks for looking

GDT for Kenny K Challenge

021a

Very late with this one, I am afraid, but I took advantage of having a Mum Free day, and have been catching up on sleep.  The Lovely Donna asked me to be Guest DT for Kenny K Challenge a few weeks back and I had to say yes as I love these Quirky images so thanks very much Donna xx,  the Theme for this one is Bling it on.

019

I couldn’t really get a gopod picture of this one and the background looks as if it really clashes with the image, which it doesn’t in real life.  I have used Copics to colour the image, but as I did it ages ago I have lost the bit of paper with the copic colours on, sorry.  The paper is by Bo Bunny and has lots of Glitter on it, its lush, I have also used the same paper to make the flower , For added bling I have used a Whole!!!! prima embellie, I never use a whole one I usually cut them up (I am a bit tight!!).  The mauve in her hair is coloured with Smooch ink, I love it!!

018

Once again sorry I am late with this post

Bag it Up

004a
Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Not many words for you today,  I am still feeling tired,  even though I spent most of yesterday asleep, Mum has been having restless nights for the last week and I am up most of the night.  The other night she decided to make some toast at 3am then just went to bed and left the toast under the grill of course we ended up with the Smoke Alarm going off which then sets the lifeline off,  so I had to quickly make phone calls as the Fire Brigade would come automatically if the fire alarm on the Life Line goes off!!!. So Lots of Piccies and not many words as I say.

004
On PENNY BLACK CHALLENGE this week our challenge for you is to make anything but a square, so lets see you creations with different shapes.  I have decided to go with a little bag for a baby gift.  I have used a Penny Black Transparent set, and stamped the two little hedgies on wheels twice for the Flap, they are coloured  in the same colour as the main image but the flash on the camera caught them and I cannot get the colour to show properly.

YooHoooo!!!!

Have I got some exciting new to share with you the lovely Elaine from Quixotic Paperie   e-mailed me last week and asked me if I would like to join her DT, as you can image I was so excited at the prospect of working with the Fabulous Stamps, Images, papers and wonderfully embellies that Quixotic Paperie stock  it took me all of 2 seconds to say yes.  As you know I have been trying to cut down on my DT positions but this was just one I could not resist.  Cannot wait to get my DT pack and start working with it.  Look out for lots of cards using Elaines products.  Thanks Elaine for asking and I am so looking forward to working with such an awesome DT.

I decided to go for something different this week, not realising how difficult it would be to photograph.

010

I bought a make your own crackers kit lat year and had one left over  so decided to use it for this challenge, it also gave me an excuse to use one of the Tiny Tildas I bought last year from Magnolia at the NEC.

008

The paper is a sheet by Best Collections that I bought from Oyster Craft, it was hard to cut it into strips as it is one of my strokables, I used the Martha Stewart Star Border punch on all 3 strips, then added Lovely Grey Ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts.

009

I tied the ends with more grey Ribbon from WOC and added punched Holly Leaves and  Cherry Blossom, Curly Wild Rose and 10mm Roses also from WOC.

007a

My second card is another DT card this time for Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge  where this month we have a fabulous Sketch by Bev with the added option of  UNTRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS.  Don’t forget toy DO NOT HAVE TO USE CRAFTERS COMPANION PRIDUCTS TO ENTER THIS CHALLENGE SO WHY NOT POP OVER HERE TO COME AND JOIN US.

007

I couldn’t resist using one of the awesome images from Crafter Companion’s Jayne Nestorenko Adorables Collection, The backing papers are from the CD that accompanies the Stamps, the backing papers on this CD are going to be so useful for all my Christmas projects they are stunning and with the Colourizer feature you can print them in any colour you choose.

The Sentiment is also from Waiting Stamp Plate.  I have used the backing papers to also punch the Martha Stewart Snowflakes with I have glittered with Glamour Dust.

007c

I feel really rough today, so I am going to take it easy and may  even try to get a sleep
