Today its the turn of Forget Me Not Fairy, isn’t she beautiful. I saw this Circular step card on my talented friend Marlene's blog and fell in love with it, luckly she did a little tutorial on making it,  I will not say it was easy but it was well while the effort, thanks Marlene dear MWAH XXX .  I only stook one picture before I sent my samples off, I should of taken a side view to give you the real effect.

I coloured the image with Copics and used some of the lovely backing paper from the Fairyopolis CD, then just inked the edges of the circle with Faded Jeans DI.

FF2a

Each of the steps was decorated with Punched Flowers, Butterflies and Swirls, and the sentiment is from the Stamp Sheet.

Our DT have had a great time creating with the new range from Crafter’s Companion and to celebrate the launch of this stunning new collection on Tuesday 15th March we have decided to give you a chance to see some Sneak Peeks and also have the chance of winning a fabulous Prize: £100 of Fairyopolis goodies!

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning this great prize is visit each blog in order, and then go back to the Crafter’s Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog to leave your link on Mr Linky. Along the way you will notice that each Blog will give you a letter - make a note of these as you go along. When you have collected them all, you need to rearrange the letters to make a Fairy-inspired word. We’ll ask you for this word if your number is drawn by Random.Org on Wednesday 16th.

PLEASE DO NOT TELL US WHAT THE WORD IS ON THE CRAFTER’S COMPANION NEWS VIEWS AND INSPIRATION BLOG, WE WILL E-MAIL YOU FOR THE ANSWER IF YOUR MR LINKY NUMBER IS DRAWN.

Here is my first sneak Peek, I have used “Sloe Fairy” on this card.  I am loving all the fairies they are just the perfect size for 6 x 6 cards, they stamp beautifully and the wonderful detail makes colouring them so easy.  And as for the CD wow it is stunning the papers are lush, really vintage and the most gorgeous rich colours.  Later in the week I will show you some of the beautiful decoupage on the CD, I have to say Crafters Companion have really pulled all the stops out with this one there is something there for everyone and if it isn’t a massive hit I will eat my hat.

Sloea

I have used two different papers from the CD on this card , it has been coloured with Copics, made them quite a while ago and was in a hurry and forgot to make a note of the numbers.  Flowers and Seam Binding from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Sloec

A Close up so you can see the wonderful detail on these stamps.

Ellie Love

Ellie1a

Good Morning,  OMG I am so tired this morning I read too much last night.   Today I am showing you another image from the Lili of the Valley Animal release, not long to wait now, they will be released on the 9th March.  This one is called “Blowing Bubbles”, and I love it I am a sucker for elephants anyway and this one is just so sweet.   I also used this card as a showcase for more of the new LOTV Additions stamps that will be released at Harrogate.

ellie2

The paper is K&Co Sparkly Sweet  this pack contains wonderful pastel Ice Cream colours good enough to eat.   The image has been coloured with Copics and Polychromos pencils.  I have gone overboard on using the LOTV additiond stamps but I wanted to show you as many as possible.  The stamps used are 2 heart Label stamps and Love sentiment, Corner stamp which has been glittered and Ribbon Stamp that has been coloured with Copics.  Although I am using the stamps on cute images at the moment, I can see them coming into there own on altered art and grunge work.  I am going to give this a try over the weekend.

ellie5

Ellie has been coloured with Copic colours C03, C02, C01, C00, R81, RV000.

ellie3

The Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, I have created the carnation flowers following one of the videos on the Wild Orchid Crafts website.

ellie4

And here is a close up of the ribbon stamp which has been coloured cut and 3d onto the card.

Enjoy your weekend

Some New Additions

snpcats1a

Twice in one day you will get fed up of me!! but I had to share some exciting news with you from Lili of the Valley, I know how much most of you love the wonderful stamps they have been bringing us this last 18 months and behind the scenes Lisa and Laila have been working to bring you stamps  that will help to enhance the current range these are called “LOTV Additions”, like Corners, borders, tags, ribbons stamps, button stamps, labels and sentiments.  These are all clear stamps so they are easy to place on your work, a lot of work has also gone into choosing the best formula to use when manufacturing  the stamps as we all know how difficult some clear stamps can be to get great results with, well these have been road tested and are brilliant  not at all tacky, strong and perfect impression every time, now thats coming from me who had a real aversion to clear stamps.   These stamps will be launching at Harrogate on 19th March.

SPN3

As well as showing you a sneak peek of  “Lucky cats”, I have used A Ribbon Stamp, two tags and words from the new “LOTV Additions Range”, what do you think, I know for sure these are going to be a well used addition to my stamping arsenal ( now I wasn’t going to mention  Arsenal after the weekend).

I have used K&Co “Hopscotch Boy”  papers, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I have used Copics to colour the image and the ribbon & bow, the brad is from The Hobby House.

SNP2

The colours used today are:
Cats: E53, E51, E50, Horseshoe: C5, C3,. C2, C1, C00, Grass YG23, I have also used Blue Grey and Light brown Polychromos Pencils.

Just a little message from Lucy regarding the Colouring Masterclass  she has had a couple of phone calls today from people who said they had e-mailed her for the booking form and hadn’t heard back, we are really sorry when the post first went on the blogs we had got the wrong e-mail address for Lucy it was changed quite quickly to the correct address but if you are still waiting for a reply can you please ring or e-mail Lucy on lucy.mortlock@btinternet.com,  I am pleased to say places are filling up fast.

Thats it for me today

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Thur1a

Good Morning!!, I am going to be busy until Midday so thought I had better get this on at Midnight so I don’t forget,  looks as if it will be a late night for me,  I bought a Kindle just before Christmas and now as well as my cardmaking addiction I have an addiction to reading, so as soon as I have finished writing this I am going to hit the sack and read.  At the moment I am reading a biography of Bess of Hardwick, its so well written and she had such an interesting life that I find it hard to put it down,  so it looks as if it will be another night when I don’t get to sleep until 3am.

Its Lili of the Valley Challenge time again, and we have a great sketch by Bev for you and a £10 voucher to spend on the Lili of the Valley website for one lucky winner (just in time to spend it on the new release).

Uselotv

This image is called “Icing Sugar”, I am loving these little meeces and hope LOTV will be bring out more in the future.  I have used Copic to colour the image and sprinkled  Glamour dust to give the impression of icing sugar (don’t you just adore that little one under the umbrella.

I have turned Bevs Sketch upside down and cut the bottom of the curve off of the front of the card, I then added a 6” square of acetate to the front and matted brown, pink and patterned card over the top. (Hope you can understand that!!!),  The flowers and swirls were punched with a selection of punches and I have added flat backed pearls to the middle.  Butterflies and Floral strip were all punched with Martha Stewart Punches.

Uselotva

So sorry I was being very tidy tonight and put my copics away before I had made a note of the numbers Doh!!!!!

uselotv3

A close up of the flowers.

I also made this card with the little Mice.

Ani1

This image is called “Cherry on Top” everytime I look at the image I see something else in it to make me smile.  The paper is from  Basic Grey Porcelain Pad and is really yummy.  The sentiment is also from the new release.

Again coloured with those unknown Copic colours, I have added glossy accents to the cherries and IRL they look good enough to eat.  I found these stunning wooden buttons on The Hobby House stall at Farnborough, I also bought the Butterflies, Dragonflies and Hearts.  The Seam Binding and Twine are from The Ribbon Girl.

Ani3

Well thats it for now, I am off to read about Bess!!  Have a lovely day.
