Whiff of Joy Challenge
Thank you everyone who joined us last week the response was overwhelming again. This week we have a brilliant sketch for you designed by our own DT member Heather, I know you are going to love working with this sketch. To see the sketch and if you need some inspiration check out the Dt members cards by clicking HERE
Oakley has decided to make the most of the spring like weather we are having and has come into the garden to catch a few rays. He has been coloured with Copics as has the tree stump, I have cut Oakley out and 3d him on to the stump with glue gel. The lush backing papers and ticket label are from a new CD I got this morning, I cannot recommend this highly enough it is by Bearly Mine designs it is called Designer Extreme Vol.1. The amount of fabulous colours and designs on this CD is astonishing and I will certainly be ordering another from them. No Flowers (another out of my comfort zone card ) I don't think a little boy would appreciate them very much, so I have punched out 3 stars with the Martha Stewart Star Punch which I bought from e-bay, and added some wire and buttons. The red felt ribbon which doesn't show very much is from stash. Oakley is from the Elizabeth Bell Spring Collection available from Whiff of Joy Website
More of the delish papers inside.
Here are the copics I used on this card.
Stamping with Stampavie
Another sketch this week on Stamp with Stampavie, from next week Mona has decided to open up the challenge to any make of stamp, this is to bring the challenge in Line with most other challenges on the blog, we will also be including more themes rather than just the sketches.
This sketch is pretty simple but I think quite effective. Once again I have gone back to using my Distress Inks and H20's to colour this little Sarah Kay image, I have used Nesties to cut her out and for the oval behind the image. The papers are more from the Bearly Mine CD, The swirls are a sizzix die cut on the Cuttlebug, the large flower is made up from a large retro punched flower a Red Imaginise flower a small bow and a mulberry paper rose, I have twirled some wire for added interest.
Papers carried on inside, I don't think I could go back to not decorating the insides of my cards now.
And A Loving Bear to Finish
I do not usually post the cards I make for commissions on the blog but I wanted to show you this gorgeous bear which is from another new CD I have recently bought. This Cd is full of the most sweet bears you could ever need and is by the lovely Tracy who's blog Craftycat957 you must visit, Tracy has an e-bay shop where she sells the most superb dies, I have longed for a set of the bear dies for ages, but then she bought out this CD and I have all the bears I want in one place. She has a free download of a sheet of bears from this cd and also a Sheet from her new Baby CD on her blog (click >CraftyHere) so please go and visit and also take advantage of the free downloads, they are fabulous. The Bp is from the Crafters Companion Love CD.
This card is for friend of my Sons who I think needs to do a bit of crawling to get back into his girlfriends good books I hope he likes this, I do think the bear looks as if he has a repentant look on his face.
Well that's the end of this very long post, I suppose I could of done 3 posts but I do think it is easier from my blogging buddies to look at them all at once, hope you agree.
Thanks for looking
