Christmas come early and GDT card

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

This week we would like to see you using different shapes on your card, my fellow DT members have come up with super shapes and have been much more adventurous than I have so why not check them out and maybe get some ideas. We have a new Sponsor this week PB Stamps from America if you are a Vintage Penny Black Lover then this is the place you need to go, they hold a stock of retired or soon to be retired PB stamps and do not charge the stupid prices you see on E-bay, the service is fantastic. We would love to see your creations this week and hope you come and join us.

I am away this weekend, or at least I am away until Sunday evening, It is my GS Sams birthday, so we are all going bowling and out for a meal after to celebrate Sam becoming a teenager. I will try to catch up with you all on Sunday Night.

Now my card doesn't look as if it has many shapes on it but the red embossed card behind the image is a square and the image is a rectangle, the border has scallops so I hope this all counts. I have often told you I am a donut well if you want proof of this here it is, I decided to use this great stamp which I got from
PB Stamps as Dick (the owner) was our sponsor this week, I spent ages colouring and then realised ALL my Christmas papers and embellies were stored right at the back of the loft, and there was no way I could get to them quickly. I thought I would use one of my many downloads to print the BP then found I had run out of Yellow Ink!!!!!!!, so couldn't even use them. Luckily I found the Christmas flowers in amongst my flower store. So here you have a card that has ended up nothing like I imagined. :)

The parcel and holly were taken off a card I had made for last year and never sent, its called recycling lol!!

Recipe:
Stamp - Vintage PB
Colouring Medium - Copics on Manga Art Board
Tools - Martha Stewart Gingerbread Man Punch, Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder
Flowers - Poppicraft
Embellies - Charm from the Hobby House, Brads, Spacers from stash, Ribbon Raspberry Ribbon Kit.

Guest DT Card for
Sketch Saturday

I was really pleased and honoured to be asked by the lovely Mariska to be her GDT member for the next 2 weeks on Sketch Saturday, this is one of my favourite challenge blogs and to be asked to work with their fabulous DT girls could not be turned down thank you very much for asking me Mariska Mwah xxx

Its a sketch from Debbie this week and although I thought I would never be able to do it justice I really enjoyed using it in the end. The challenge is being sponsored by the fabulous Denise from
Whimsey Stamps this week so come on join in.

I wasn't sure how I was going to get the shape for this card, but I used a CD to get the curve at the top and it then fell in to place, although I would advise you to use a smaller circle for the image than I have as I had a job to fit it in. Luckily I had prepared this card as soon as I was given the sketch so actually managed to use Downloaded papers for it, cannot remember which ones they are at the moment but will check and update later. No flowers again (I am being good at working out of my comfort zone this week aren't I) but this lovely little image from Pink Cat Studios didn't need much embellishment.

Another image for the same sheet of stamps inside.

Recipe:
Stamps - Pink Cat Studio Sweet Pea Stamp set
Papers - Download
Colouring Medium - Copics on SU Whisper White Card
Tools - Martha Stewart Lattice Border Punch, Corner Punch from Hobby House, Circle nesties
Embellies - Buttons from stash

Hope you all have a great Bank Holiday weekend, at least the forecast here in the UK is for sunny and dry weather most unusual for a Bank Holiday

Thanks for looking
Hugs
Jacqui xx
