Papertake Weekly Challenge

Morning peeps, well so far this morning the internet is behaving itself, so I though I had better post this early in case it all goes Pete Tong later.  How many of you did your on-line shopping yesterday – Mega Monday- couldn’t believe it when I heard on the news how much they expected to be spent on internet shopping yesterday.  Fabulous news about William and Kate, although I feel so sorry for her having to put up with the sickness, she is in the best place though and I hope things get better for her soon.

ptw5

Our Challenge on Papertake this week is Anything Goes – with the option of making a gift, I have not had much time to make a gift so am afraid its just a card from me.

The dies i have used are all by Doo Hickey and are, Christmas Lace Border, Vintage Swirl, So Wrapped Label.

ptw6

Flowers, from the Ribbon Girl, the lovely Vintage Brown Tea Died Vintage Gingham Ribbon and Rusty Jingle  Bells are from Andreas Vintage Collection.  The hanging Beads are made from my Bead stash.

A Forgotten Card

Hello my lovelies, still a little tired not had a full night sleep since Monday, but noticed it was a full moon last night so that explains a lot, Mums sleep pattern is always upset for around a week during the full moon phase.  But I had some exciting news yesterday so am on a high at the moment, I managed to get onto the Rosemary Merry Retreat next November places on her Retreats are like Gold Dust and I was amazed that I had managed to sign up and pay WoooHooo!!!.

Right onto this mornings post, I made a DT card for last weeks Lilis Little Fairies Challenge and meant to schedule to appear whilst I was away, but during all the excitement of going to the Craftaganza it got forgotten so thought I would show it to you today, shame to waste it (and to be perfectly honest I haven’t got a card ready get to show you).

fairy1

The papers are from Nitwits Collections, and the image is of course from Lili of the ValleyChristmas Eve Boy, coloured with Copics .

fairy2

I used Craft Paper to cut  Doo Hickey Blooming Tag tucked behind the image and added a bow made with Ribbon and Twine from the Ribbon Girl.

fairy3

Centura Pearl Card was used for the Die Cut Reindeer, I used my new E-Bosser to cut the dies, I am in love with this machine it cuts perfectly and no aching arms from tedious winding of the handle, just put it in the machine and 18 seconds latter it pops out fab.

fairy4

Copics Used:

I actually threw away the list of colours but I think I can remember most of the  markers I Used:

Bed: E74, E71, E70, E40 dark brown Polychromos Pencil

Hat: B32, B21, B41

Stocking: RV69, R39 – Black Polychromos Pencil

Teddies: E53, E51. E50 – Tan Pencil

Bunny – C3, C1, C00 – Pale Grey Pencil

Bed Linen: E40

I will be back later today with another card and a little Magnolia Candy so don’t forget to pop back

A Couple of new Projects

Hi Peeps, today I have a couple of projects I have been working on since I came back from the Crafters Companion  Craftaganza at the weekend.  The first is a take on a card design from Sara’s Saturday class, we actually made an A4 card in the class but as soon as I saw it I was sure it could be resized to 6x6, so after faffing about here it is:

T1

Now I know you are thinking what's so special about that but be patient there is a little surprise there for you,   The Papers are by Maja Designs I think they were last years so not sure if you can still get them.   The sweet Tilda from this years Christmas Collection has been coloured with Copics.

t3

I have made an edge around the side of the card with a Martha Stewart Punch, and used another punch for the Snowflake which I them embossed with Frant-age Ivory Aged Embossing Enamel , the Poinsettia was made with Spellbinders Poinsettia Die, which was distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and has Gold Crushed Glass Glitter add to the middle, all available from J & C Creations.

t4

Ribbons, Gold Twine and Small Berries are all from The Ribbon Girl, The large round sentiment is another Magnolia Stamp, the little tag is by Lili of the Valley, The Tag is a Doo Hickey Die

Now for the surprise.

t5

I am not sure what you would call this type of card, so I am going to name it he Magic Shutter Card the snowflake in the centre is a Magnolia Stamp which has been glittered with Crystal Glamour Dust and I have add a self adhesive Gem to the centre of the card, this is the card open, I wish you could see it in real life as I cannot take a photo of the inside with the Shutter Closed.

t7

And this is it half open, when you first open it up the shutters are completely closed no sign of the Magnolia Snowflake.  I loved making this card.

Now for the next project, this month on the J & C Creations Designs to Inspire Blog we have been showcasing Spellbinders Dies and for the final we are all making something a little bit different, I had some fabby Crackers from Which Craft which I thought I would decorate.  Full details of Dies used etc will be on the J & C Creations Designs to Inspire Blog at about midday, got to upload it first Smile

crack1

Thanks for looking, have a great crafty day

A Study in Red and White

Morning all, slowly getting back into the crafting mode, today we see a new challenge on Papertake Weekly Challenge, and Dawny P has created a fabulous sketch for us to follow, we are sponsored this week by the lovely girls at Simon Says Stamp.

ptwn1

Nice plain and simple card from me today with a very limited palette, but I am really pleased with it.  Dawny’s lovely sketch gave me a chance to use some of those little scraps I save from my backing papers (cannot bear to throw even the smallest pieces away), these are all papers by Magnolia.

ptwn3

The lovely lace edge is cut from white card with Doo Hickey Christmas Lace Border Die, The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.

ptwn4

The image has been coloured with Copis on Neenah Classic Crest Card.  Once again I have coloured white pearls with a matching copic .

ptwn2

Copics used:

Flesh: E13, E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R00

Hair: YR13, E13, E50

Reds: R37, R27, R24, R22

Thanks for looking, I am off to make a couple of Shamballa Bracelets, I got the bug at the Craftaganza.

Can you see a pattern emerging this week, Mo’s Fabulous images have got me under their spell, I only went over to buy 1 and ended up with 6.  Todays image is called Victoria Carolling.  I loved colouring her, I used Copics and Polychromos Pencils.
