Christmas in July

002

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Without more ado it's time for this week challenge and to get you in the mood

cue music maestro.....Jingle Bells....Jingle Bells....yes.....

IT'S CHRISTMAS IN JULY

we know you are all thinking it's still summer...not according to the recent weather we've been having but anyway....it's never too early to make a start on the Christmas Card List so a great chance to get some inspiration for this year's cards

and it's entirely up to you what you create....the only limit is your own imagination.....a card...altered art...layout...notebook etc...the only RULE being that you use at lease ONE PENNY BLACK IMAGE...LARGE SENTIMENT OR STICKEROO

Morning Peeps, I have woken up full of the joys of Summer and am looking forward to a trip to Oyster Crafts at Rochester later this morning thanks to my dear friend Lin.  It does seem mad making Christmas cards in July but I have been using Christmas images for the last month now  with the release of the Lili of the Valley Christmas Collection earlier this month.

I have used Copics to colour these cute mice, with Twinklets from Crafts U Love added around the bottom.  The Paper is from last years Christmas stash collection but luckily this piece had the name of it on the bottom it is from Basic Grey Fruit Cake collection, it looks as if the circles on the paper are shining bright  and I thought  it matched the meeces lantern. The ribbon is from stash and the Poinsettias are from Wild Orchid Crafts I took the large white one apart and added Twinklets to both layers then glued the back together again, the red one has Stardust Stickles around the edge (not sure if I like this), the Flat Back Pearls are also from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Yesterday I posted the a card on the Lili of the Valleys Ideas to Inspire blog but didn’t give any information on what was used on it so here goes:

It wasn’t until we went to Do0ncaster that I realised that the Dt hadn’t made a card with this fabulous Lili of the Valley Father Christmas Image, so I thought I had better get back and get one done.  He has been coloured with Copics and lots of Glamour Dust has been added to his fur.  The paper is by Craft Creations and as I bought it last year I am not sure where I got it from .  A Martha Stewart Ribbon Punch has been used on the plain red layer.  The Cherry Blossom has been sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and Stardust Stickles have been added around the edges of the petals.

Have a great weekend everyone
