New DT Post
I was really surprised last week to get an E-mail from the lovely Kay at Toodles and Binks asking me to join her very talented DT, of course it didn't take long to make up my mind to join, so here is my first card for the DT.
Meet Guiseppe Forks a very stately goat, designed by Sally Anne Hancock, isn't he great for a masculine Thank You card. I have decided to distress the papers on this one as I know goats are partial to chewing paper and anything else they can get hold of so I want you to imagine that this card has been chewed bu Guiseppe.
I have carried Guiseppe and the papers onto the inside. There is also another stamp in this new release from Toodle and Binks Clive Cockran a fabulous Cockerel which I hope to show you tomorrow, the stamps are available from Stamp Galaxy
Recipe:
Stamp - Toodles & Binks
Papers - Basic Grey
Colouring Medium - Copics
Tools - Flower Punch
Embellies - Raffia Ribbon from Hobbicraft, Button and Pearls from stash

Two for You
Whiff of Joy Challenge
Our challenge this week on Whiff of Joy Challenge is
Stars and Stripes
Love this one, we are offering a GDT place to the winner, so hope to see lots of entries this week. Pop over to see the awesome cards from my fellow DT members if you need some inspiration.
I thought it was time this sweet Oakley stamp from Whiff of Joy saw the light of day again, I am sure we are all the same so much rubba so little time to use it all. This challenge came at the right time, I had just visited Nitwit Collections Downloads and bought a couple of new packs and amongst the papers were these two striped pages, so my colour scheme was decided for me. Not a flower in sight on this card wow that was hard, so had to make up with little bit of glamour dust.
I do love the earthy colours of this paper.
Recipe:
Stamp - Whiff of Joy
Papers - Nitwit collections
Colouring Medium - Copics on Manga Art Board
Tools - Martha Stewart Star Punch, Nesties.
Embellies - Star Buttons from Silly Monkeys and Glamour dust.

A lovely sketch this week from Nette, don't forget to come and join us again this week, to see the sketch and the fab DT cards just click Here
Another couple of stamps that havn't been used for ages, these love Mimosa Stamps from Bildmalarna are a joy to colour and I just love their cute faces. Well my this is the first try at a home made flower I used the large retro flower punch and just snipped all around the petal edges and ruffled them up, not very adventurous but I quite like them. I am dying to try the lovely flowers Rach made this week but will have to wait until I go into Canterbury to get a stapler before I can have a go.
I have used another of the cute stamps inside.

Blue Bouquet
A Spoonful of Sugar
We have a colour Challenge for you this week at A Spoonful of Sugar
Blue and Green
We also have a beautiful card from our Guest Designer Steph, and 2 great stamps from Alota Rubber Stamps for one lucky winner, so I hope we see you joining us this week
Good Morning everyone, well I have woken up to the sun shining through the bedroom room, so much better than that dreadful rain we had yesterday, surprising how a bit of Sun can make you feel so much better.
Blue and Green is not a colour combo I use much, but certainly will do after this challenge, I am extending my colour range lately and getting away from Pink and Lilac never thought I would. Back to Distress Inks for me for this gorgeous Melinda Angel from Whiff of Joy he has such a serene face I adore her.
Whilst blog hopping I have seen so many fabulous handmade flowers I am promising myself that I am going to have a go at making some this week, thanks for the inspiration girls, Don't forget you only have a week left to order the Summer Release from Elizabeth Bell available at Whiff of Joy
I have coloured another Melinda for the inside of the card.

Whilst drawling over Bevs delicious creations I noticed she has been using lots of Aquas and Peach and I loved the colour combo so thought I would have a go at using it. I tried it with both Distress Inks and Copics and couldn't make my mind up which I preferred so decided to use both, little Whiff of Joy Willow on the outside is coloured with Distress Inks and the same image inside with the copics.
I must admit I am loving this colour scheme thanks for the idea Bev xx

Just for Fun
Lots of pictures on this post but not too many words. I have been colouring up my Gorjuss Girls today and thought I would make something other than a card with them, so I trawled through lots of blogs and found the instructions for making this lovely little gift Here.
The little round tin used to hold a scented candle, so I am going to get out my candle making stuff out tomorrow and make a new candle to put inside, My DIL has a birthday next month and I intend to fill the box with some goodies and give her this little set.
I measured and cut a strip from a piece of 12"x12" Brazil Basic card and a thinner strip of the DP to cover the side of the tin, added some matching ribbon and a paper rose, the lid was covered with a circle of DP cut with circle nestie.

Off Off and Away, And Girls with Attitude
Penny Black Saturday Challenge
Thanks to everyone who joined us last week the response was fantastic, onto this weeks challenge
Anything Goes
Now this one should be an easy one... or if you want to challenge yourself to something new.. then let your creative run wild. Your limitations are endless... you can create a card, altered art, bag, notebook, candle, box, etc... or even use a past challenge theme if you like.
The only RULE is to ensure you use at least 1 PB image/sentiment on your card.
We have a great set of stamps on offer for one lucky crafter from our Sponsor Simon Says Stamp.
I ordered this stamp earlier in the year but had trouble finding papers to go with it, but on one of my regular visits to The Sweet Shoppe Designs I found this set of downloads called Surfs Up and it was just perfect. I think it must have been the lovely sunny weather we are having at the moment in Canterbury that inspired this card. Well I am looking forward to the weekend, I hope you all have a great one.
Papers are carried onto the inside of the card.
Recipe:
Stamp - Penny Black
Colouring Medium - Copics
Papers - Sweet Shoppe Designs
Tools - Swirl Punch - The Hobby House
Embellishments - Raffia Ribbon Hobbycraft, rest from stash.
Truly Scrumptious Challenge
I haven't entered many challenges lately due to time restraints and I feel really bad as so many of you follow challenges where I am on the Dt and I hate not supporting my fellow Blog Buddies, so I intend to try to rectify this omission over the coming weeks. I couldn't resist this fabulous sketch on Truly Scrumptious and the DT cards gave me loads of inspiration.
Like many of you my Gorjuss Girls set 2 from Funky Kits popped through the letterbox yesterday, I couldn't rest until I had inked up these little babies and not satisfied with just the one I had to use 3 on this card.
I love these two they remind me of a couple of Goths with attitude, so they had to be coloured in muted greys and purples, this was also a great colour combo to go with the new Basic Grey Wisteria Pack. I wanted the right background to mount the images on and couldn't find what I wanted so I coloured a piece of glossy card with Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord Distress Ink, I like the result. The edge of the punched flowers have also been distressed with the same inks.
I had to add another image inside, I am surprised I confined myself to just 3 little ones and havn't used all 6. lol

I must apologise for the quality of the picture today, I have had real problems trying to capture the colours this week. I just had to use this lovely new Spring Magnolia she is just irrestibile. Whiff of Joy Challenge
What did I say yesterday about sketches this week, and here we have another 2 today
Our sketch on Whiff of Joy Challenge is by our own Heather and we hope you enjoy working with it as much as we did. Thanks everyone who joined us last week wow there were some outstanding cards.
With all the new releases we have had lately from Whiff of Joy I have not used this lovely Willow stamp for ages, so I thought it was time I bought her out and inked her up. I also thought it was time for a bit more Distress ink colouring. Think I have gone a bit overboard with the flowers on this one though!!!
Just a peek at the inside of the card
Recipe:
Stamps - Whiff of Joy Willow with Cookies
Papers - Basic Grey Porcelain
Colouring medium - Distress Inks and H20,s
Tools - Nestie Labels and Large and medium Retro Punch
Embellishments - Brads, Spacers and Ribbon from stash, buttons from Silly Monkeys.
Stampavie and more
I got my new Spring Magnolias on Monday and couldn't wait to ink them up, they are so much cuter now with their bigger eyes, I also decided to use Distress Inks again being as I had them out for my WOJ Card.
It felt really strange not using a square card, but I couldn't make the image fit all the elements of the sketch on a 6"x6", but I quite liked the effect on this size card, but more sure about the green ribbon. This stamps call out for flowersoft don't you think. I havn't decorated the inside yet as I actually out of the Porcelain Pad, so will have to rectify this when the new pads arrive
Recipe:
Stamps - Magnolia (Crafts u Love)
Papers - Basic Grey Porcelian Pad
Tools - Circle and Scallop Circle nesties and flower punch
Colouring medium - Distress Inks and H20's.
Embellishments - Flat backed pearls Joanna Sheen, Flowersoft, Spacers from Stash as is Ribbon, Sentiment Craftwork Cards

Modern Miss
Stamping with Fun
Happy Monday Everyone hope all of you lucky girls who went to Ally Pally at the weekend had a fabulous time and picked up loads of stamping goodies.
This week on Stamping with fun we have a fabulous sketch from our guest designer the lovely and talented Marlene, it is a fabulous sketch, (I am having a field day with sketches this week as they all have lots of layers which I love), and Marlene has made the most stunning card for us using her sketch. My Fellow DT, as always, have also come up with some truly stunning creations, why not come and join us.
I have had these lovely Miss Anya stamps for ages and have only inked up one, after seeing Rach's fab creations with them it spurred me on to get them out and inked. I have played around with the sketch but the basic elements are still there. This time I started with the papers and then chose my copic colours normally I do it the other way around and spend ages looking for matching papers, I will certainly choose the papers first from now on, it is so much easier.
Went really over the top this time on the inside of my card, I have used another of the cute stamps and used up the scrap paper from the front
