Just Magnolia's First Challenge

Just magnolia Challenge

Well the day the whole Dt have been waiting for has finally arrived and what a great challenge we have for you, our very own
Donalda has created one of her fabulous sketches for us. The DT cards are awesome and we have a HUGE!!! Prize so please come and join us for our first challenge, the only rule is there must be at least 1 Magnolia stamp on your creation, we have no problems with you combining Challenges.

We are hoping that
Just Magnolia will become more than just a challenge blog and we have tutorials by some fabulous crafters planned and also some extra little challenges so why not click Here and read all about it.

I have been so looking forward to our first challenge but I very nearly didn't have a card for it, not only am I tied up with the commission I am working on but Mum had an accident last week and has needed extra attention, so today after taking her to the hospital I had a non-crafting Me Day and met some of my old colleagues for lunch which turned into a marathon, I didn't get home until nearly 5 o'clock, and I hadn't even started on my card. I didn't realise how much I needed this break but really feel raring to go now.

I really wanted to produce a stunning card for this challenge, but ended up making a card I am not entirely happy with, I rushed my colouring and really should have binned this one and done it again, but time run out.

I am pleased with the inside though. lol!!!

Recipe
Stamp Magnolia
Colouring Medium Copics on Manga Art Board
Papers: Basic Grey Porcelain Pad
Tools: Round nesties
Embellishments: Prima Flowers, Rose from Wild Orchid Craft, ribbon from stash, Sticky Back Pearls from Joanna Sheen, Small Buttons Silly monkeys, Spacer from stash.

Thanks for looking
Hugs
Jacqui xx

Awe Jacqui, your card is adorable hun. Love these colours and all your beautiful detail, if I could colour like this - a bin would not enter my head - you are too tough on yourself.
Sorry your mum had an accident, hope she is feeling a bit better AND how wonderful you made a bit of "Jacqui" time ... we all need this from time to time. Chin up and keep smiling. -x-

Beautiful card Jacqui! I just love everything about it, it's so pretty and I don't know why you wanted to bin the image but I know how high your standards are Sweetie which is why we love ya! So sorry that your Mum had an accident and hope all is well and she's ok very soon. Glad you had some time with your friends too even if it did overrun, I think it helps to blow all the cobwebs away. Looking forward to joining in the new challenge this week. Hugs, Chris xxx
