Tuesday Twosome
We have a the new home for our Just Magnolias Tutorial Challenges Here. The challenges on this blog will be based around the challenges that our Featured Stampers do for us. Last month our Featured Stamper was our fellow DT member Kim, who did the most amazing distressing tutorial for us which you can find Here.
There will be a new Tutorial and Challenge every month and they will be sponsored by the very generous 7 Kids College Fund, we hope you will find these tutorials and challenges as inspiring as the DT have and will come and join us, the Dt have created cards using Kims fabulous tutorial to get you started.
I still have my Aunt staying so another quick post, I will be back to normal (or as normal as I can ever be) at midday on Thursday.
Little Rose Tilda has been coloured with Distress Inks, I have distressed the edges of the image with vintage paper and fired brick Distress Ink and the papers has all been distressed around the edges with the same inks. The Heart was embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder and painted with Distress Pain (Antique Linen) and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.
The same papers are used inside (these came from my scrap drawer and I am afraid I cannot remember who produces them, I have added the Magnolia Love Note image.
The Challenge at A Spoonfull of Sugar this week is a very timely one for us in the UK, its SUMMER and it looks as if we are heading for a Mini Heatwave here. The DT have made some lovely summery cards to give you inspiration so please come and join us.
I have used another of the very cute Bildmalarna Mimosa stamps available from Bunny Zoes Crafts, she has been coloured with Copics, I really could of done with a cold bath to put my feet in this afternoon it was so hot!!!!!
The Papers are a Nit Wits Collection download, and I have distressed the edge of the border punched with my MS Doily BP, the fabulous charm was a RAK from Bev as were the leaves, I have tried to get the MS branch punch but cannot find it anywhere if anyone knows where I can get one I would be obliged if they could let me know.
The same papers have been used inside
Didn't Andrew Murray do well last night what a truly fantastic and thrilling match it was, I am not sure I could go through the tension again.

Christening
Sorry no card today just recovering from the Christening, and wow is it hot here today!!!!!
The Charlie behaved himself wonderfully at the Christening he didn't cry at all, of course I was a proud Nana. It was so nice to have the family all together, the Reception was held at the Hotel where Ben is Chef, his Boss, Mrs Smith, was kind enough to supply the wonderful buffet for us as a Christening Present. It was a fantastic spread, thank you Mrs Smith.

My Best Friend
Thanks everyone who joined in Just Magnolia Challenge, what a talented lot you all are. This week we have a brilliant sketch by Bev for you to follow, its lovely and easy to work with and the Dt have some brilliant examples for you.
We have a couple of new challenges starting next week so keep visiting Just Magnolia as I am sure you will enjoy what we have in store for you.
This weeks challenge is sponsored by Cutting Cafe.
My Mojo is still missing and I am afraid my card is very plain this week, as I said I also have company and it is really difficult for me to get up here to do any crafting or even get on the computer I have to wait until everyones gone to bed.
Tilda and her little friend had been coloured with Copics and the lovely paper is from the DCWV Nannas Nursery Collection, The spacers and charm are from The Hobby House, and MS Butterfly punch had to find its way in there somehow.
My new MS Doily Punch arrived at the weekend, I think I must of overused my old one as it went kaput and I have been lost without it.
I have used the same stamp inside.
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my Popcorn cards and colouring I was just so proud when I saw the packaging on IW, made me go all goose pimply. And Wow didn't he sell well you all seem to love him as much as I do.

Apple Harvest
Whiff of Joy challenge this week is a lovely sketch by Heather, I so need a sketch this week as my Mojo has just flown away and I have not been happy with any card I have made, I think I must have creation overload. Hope you can all join us again this week and check back on the Challenge Blog at the Weekend to see who are our new Dt members.
I am so sorry this is going to be an express post, I have visitors coming for a week and Charlies Christening on Sunday so I thought I had better catch up on my long neglected House work and Cooking, so you know what I will be doing until the early hours.
I have used the Lovely Willow from WOJ Elizabeth Bell Summer Release and coloured her with Distress Inks, everything else on the card is from my stash and the paper is from my scrap box.
Oh Dear I feel so bad just leaving it at that but I really must rush. Have a good day, one more tip check out Amazing Paper Grace to get a sneak peek of the wonderful new nesties WOW!!!! OMG!!!!! thats all I am saying

Wedding Bells
It's Wedding Bells this week on A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge, we would love to see your cards with Weddings in Mind, there are some fantastic cards by my fellow DT members to get you going and also our very own kind and extremely talented Nikki is offering a lovely prize from here new shop Bunny Zoes Crafts, I must say considering she only opened her web shop a short while ago she has some most delicious stuff to tempt us so why not go and visit.
Well I liked this card when I made it and I still like it IRL, but the camera has just not picked out the colours properly and the embossed and cut hearts don't look the silver grey they really are and the flowers and leaves look more lilac than pink. It also hasn't picked up the sparkle imparted by the Glimmer Mist on the Flowers, all in all a disappointment,
The Whiff of Joy Willow bride was stamped and masked then I stamped Oakley over her, they have been coloured with distress inks, when the inks were dry I went over Willows veil with Angel Wings Shimmerez, her dress with Opal Shimmerez and Oakleys Waistcoat and Tie with December Sky Shimmerez wow the effect is stunning, these Shimmerez must be my favourite buy this month. ( I have noticed I have just gone over the very edge of her face with the shimmerez Opps!!)
Recipe:
Stamps - Willow and Oakley from Whiff of Joy Womens Delight Collection
Colouring Medium - Distress Inks, Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Soot Black. Shimmerez Opal, Angel Wings, December sky available from Susanas Custom Art and Card Designs
Papers - Papermania Blueberry Hill
Tools - Sizzix Heart Die
Embellies - Roses from Wild Orchid Craft sprayed with Angel Wings Glimmer Mist
If you would like to see some more sneak peeks of the cute and gorgeous POPCORN the bear i have posted some more cards on my other blog just click Here and it will take you straight there.

Exciting News - The Reveal
At last I am able to tell you what I have been working on for the last 3 months, it's a fantastic new Stamp and CD release from Crafters Companion of a fabulous character POPCORN THE BEAR. The CD and Stamps will be launched on Ideal World and Create and Craft at 9pm on Wednesday 24th.
I Have been lucky enough to have been asked to contribute to this collection from the conception to the end, and help choose the Images Backing Paper and write some of the sentiments.
But more exciting than all of that Sara asked me to Colour all the Packaging for the stamps and to make sample cards for the accompanying leaflet, wow I couldn't believe she thought my colouring good enough. Above is the covers for the 4 sets of Mens Popcorn Stamps that I coloured, there is also a Floral and Birthday set but you will have to wait until 24th to see them or you can visit Crafters Companion website to get an sneak peek. As you can imagine most of my time has been taken up with this project and I have found it so hard to keep up with all my blogging and commenting, I am so sorry if I have not visited you as much as I should and thank you all for staying with me whilst I have been such a bad blogger, after Wednesday I should be back to normal unless Sara has anything more in the pipeline for me.
Below are three cards I made with the stamp sets.
So Don't forget if you would like to see more stamps and sample cards from myself and the rest of the talented CD the show is on IW or CC at 9pm 24th July, and if you cannot wait click Here to visit Crafters Companion Website.
This is the Triple CD to go with the Stamps, it includes Backing Papers Images Decoupage etc the usual things that are on Crafters Companion CD, I am so in love with this new Release I think it is the best Crafters Companion have every released.

Here come the Hedgies
First of all can I thank everyone who joined in with the birthday celebrations on Penny Black Saturday Challenge, I cannot believe the amount of entries we received wow you knocked my socks off. We will be posting the winners of all the DT Candy Bags on the Penny Black Challenge Blog later today so don't forget to check if you are my lucky winner.
This week we have Embossing as our theme, so I look forward to seeing your cards with either Heat or Dry embossing used on them.
As you can see I am in love with these new Mary Fran download papers cannot stop using them. I have coloured my Hedgies with Copics and added a bit of Flowersoft to the basket of flowers. I bought a set of Flowersoft about a year ago and it just sat in my cupboard unopened, but lately I had decided to start using it more I love the soft effect it gives.
Another Hedgie Image inside, these are just so sweet and a brilliant size for decorating the inside of your cards.
Recipe:
Stamps - Penny Black, Sentiment Stamp Whiff of Joy
Colour Medium Copics
Papers Mary Fran Download
Tools - Nesties, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Corner Punch - available from The Hobby House
Embellies - Ribbon from Stash Flowers from Wild Orchid Craft.
Have some news on what I have been working on for the last 3 months Sara is letting me show you some sneak peeks on Monday, I am so excited this is the best ever from Crafters Companion thats all I can say for now.
Have a great weekend everyone, they forecast good weather for next week with lots of sun but it is Wimbledon Fortnight so I wouldn't be surprised if they have got it wrong.

New Arrival
I have been wanting to join in with The Next Level challenge ever since it started but just haven't found the time before, I love the sketch for this one, and they have supplied you with a template to attain the correct sizes for the card. The DT cards are spectacular so please go and have a look and perhaps join in.
I knew this was going to take a fair bit of DP so decided to use a download from Mary Fran for this one, I love the soft colours and thought it matched the wonderfulWhiff of Joy Women's delight image. I have edge around the image after it had been cut with the Nesties with soft pink glitter, and Willows dress has been over-painted with Shimmerez Pixie Dust but unfortunately I cannot pick up the shimmer with the camera.
I have used 2 more Womens Delight stamps on the tag and also one of my precious Silk Tassels
Recipe:
Stamps - Whiff of Joy Womens delight Collection
Colouring Medium - Distress Inks, Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Shabby Shutters, Worn Lipstick, Shimmerez Pixie Dust
Papers Mary Fran Download
Tolls - Nesties, Ash Leaf Punch
Embellies - Tassel - Joanna Sheen, Roses Wild Orchid Craft, Ribbons from stash
