Its a Girl Thing!!

002a

Another of  Bev's great sketches for you this  week on Just Magnolia, we also have a new Sponsor the lovely Paula from Crafts U Love has sponsored us with a £10 voucher to spend in the store, thank you so much Paula.

002I have been waiting all week  to colour up this lovely Tilda Ballerina but have been so busy have just not had the time, I have been thinking for the last couple of weeks that I will have to give up blogging for a period as I now have so much work to do for Crafters Companion and a few other companies that I am just not finding enough time to visit and leave comments and even have problems trying to fit in my DT cards, but after talking to Bev and Pinky  and a few others I have decided to keep on as long as I can, hope you can bear with me.

Anyway down to this weeks card, as soon as I received the newsletter from Crafts U Love saying they had the new release Magnolias ready to pr-order of course I had to get over and order them, I love them all and it was just so hard to choose the ones I really NEEDED!!!!!.  I coloured this Ballerina Tilda with Distress Inks and lots of glitter, the papers are Websters pages and it really hurt to cut them up.  The flowers and Chandeliers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

004The heart embellie is punched with Martha Stewart Punch and has been Distressed and embossed.

006a

The lovely Jeanette has the perfect challenge for you this week:

006 What a great image this is from I always wanted to be a cheer leader when I was young. lol!!!  She has been coloured with Copics, the papers are the latest collection from Nitwits and I have cut the flowers from a sheet of the matching Backing Paper then used lots of glitter on them, I am pleased with the results.

007

Here Comes Summer

003a

This fortnights Lili of the Valley Challenge has the great theme of HERE COMES SUMMER we would like to see your creations with a summer theme, we are also looking for a GDT to join us for the next 4 challenges. Lili of the Valley have kindly sponsored us with 2 stamps of the winners choice from the Busy Bears Collection.

003

My Gandson Owen (4) and his dad Richard live close to the River Estuary at Rye in East Sussex and they enjoy nothing better than ending a summers day doing a bit of fishing, Owen even has his own small rod and the last time they went he hooked a bigger fish than his dad!!! We tried everywhere to get a small rod for him and the only one we could find was PINK I don’t think Owen minded to much but can you image the consternation of my Son!! he couldn’t wait to get it home and paint it Black,

I have always called the little boy from this collection Owen as he so reminds me of him, I think Lili of the Valley have cornered the market with Boys and Mens Stamps. I have coloured this one with Copics the papers are all from my stash drawer. The Gone fishing button is from Button it.

Hugs and thanks for looking

Whiff of Joy Wednesday

003c

This week the theme on Whiff of Joy Challenge is to make a Money Holder, I was at a complete loss about what to make but then had the idea of making a Holder for a money  gift for a New baby

003

This is the front of the holder I have used the gorgeous Elizabeth Bell Mother with Toddler image from Whiff of Joy, the gorgeous papers are the new release from Magnolia which I bought from Crafts U Love wow every single sheet of this new release is scrummy.  The flowers are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts.

002Here is the inside, The sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy.  I have used Distress Inks to colour the images .

006c

Here is another sneak peek of the new Get Well Soon collection to be released in May by Whiff of Joy, isn’t she sweet.

006

More of the new Magnolia papers here expect to see them on everything!!!!, I am sure like me you have days when things just go blank, I couldn’t think of how to arrange my flowers on this card, so I popped over to dear Camillas blog to gather inspiration, I visit her wonderful blog at least once a day there is always so much inspiration and wonderful cards to see there, although I hope I don’t copy her flower arrangements flower for flower it certainly helps give a new perspective so many thanks Camilla dear.

A Summers Day

021a

Good Morning Peeps another beautiful day, I managed to make a card last night and I hope it fits three challenges Cute Card Thursday  Which is a fabulous sketch by  Andrea,  Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge – Distressing and Stamp Something  - Charmed Something.   Not bad for just one card.

021The gorgeous Stampavie Sarah Kay image has been coloured with Distress Inks, I have used a Tim Holtzs Distressing tool around the edge of the yummy Tim Holtzs Papers and then finished them off with Frayed Burlap DI around the edges.  More lovely roses from Wild Orchid Crafts the edges of the petals have had Gold Liquid Pearls and Glamour Dust added.

A Little Extra

018a

Just having 30 minutes break from card making my eyes are itching so thought I had better rest them.  Thought you might like to see a couple of the cards I have been working on this last couple of Days they are all from the First Popcorn release from Crafters Companion which will be going on sale in the USA and Canada for the first time later this week.

018

First another little Gift bag, It was really hard trying to make every card different within the size constants of  6 x 6 or 4 x6 and not using too much backing paper.  I have used Copics on all cards as the TV cameras seem to pick up the colours so much better than Distress Inks.  I was amazed when I went over to Crafts U Love to buy these brown bags they are only £3.99 for 40 bags, expect to see a lot more of them in the future lol!!!  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I am loving that soft pink Curly Wild Rose such a gorgeous colour and just the right size.

014

A 6 x 6 step card for this gorgeous image, the papers are from magnolia and the flowers have been punched and embossed with the great punches I picked up from The Hobby House.

Well had better go and make a cup of coffee and then get back down to making cards, I have to get them packed up and ready for the courier first thing in the morning.

Ohhhh! I am longing to start inking up my new Tildas it is really hard keeping my hands off of them

securedownload

I have used Julie, her Satchel and two of her patchwork squares on this card all this images come  on the one stamp plate, they have all been coloured with Copics/

I am not sure where the papers are from but I know the ribbon is from Crafty Feelings.

securedownloadc

Now I must get down to finishing these cards for my commission that I have to complete by tonight.  I had a fabulous weekend with the Grandchildren but it means I am going to have a manic day today playing Catch Up!!!!!!

Sundays Children

003a

Another scheduled post today and also a very quick one, (you must get fed up with me saying that)!!  I picked this super little stamp up from the Flower Soft stand at Ally Pally  but like most of the stamps I have bought in the last couple of months I just haven’t had time to ink it up, she is a real darliong and so easy to colour, I can see her becoming one of my favourites.  I used the sketch on Friday Sketchers Challenge, wow this is a peach of a sketch.

003

I have coloured the image with Distress Inks and used my new Magnolia Papers which arrived from Crafts U Love on Friday, they are just stunning papers I am so pleased I ordered more than 1 sheet of each.

The colours used to colour the image are:

Flesh Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Worn Lipstick, Dress – Victorian Velvet and Chipped Sapphire, Grass and Leaves A Mixture of Peeled pain and Bundled Sage, Hair, Tea Dye and Black Soot.

007I am not sure of I have captured how I have made the card the bottom half of the card and Image actually opens it gives real depth to the card.  The gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts .

005

Next is  my final GDT for Crafty Sentiments.

002a

This is one of the new images from Crafty Sentiments released on the 6th April,  this weeks challenge is a great sketch with the added themes of Flowers.

002I used copics to colour the image, the yummy glittered Papers are from Nanas Nursery Boys Pad, I love these papers.  The flowers and leaves have been punched with a set of Punches I bought from The Hobby House.  I have just realised for someone who hates yellow I have been using it quite a lot lately, perhaps I am getting over my phobia

Have a good Sunday

Wow I didn’t realise how long I had been away from Penny Black DT, you know how much I love PB stamps and it was a joy to make this card.  I have coloured the image with Copics .  The Butterfly Border is a Martha Stewart Punch, I will be using this one a lot, the Pearl Swirls were created with Pearls and Swirl Template I bought from Jill at The Hobby House.

The sentiment is by Stamping Up.

010

I suppose I had better get back to creating, although (and I don’t very often say this), I would much rather be in the garden catching the rays!!!!  it just seems such a long time since we have had warm enough weather to sit outside comfortably.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend I am so looking forward to my Sunday Picnic.

012

Thanks for looking and for your fabulous comments they do mean so much

Just Magnolia Prize Pic

THE WINNER OF MY LITTLE BIRTHDAY CANDY IS PINKY FROM PINKYS WORLD COULD YOU PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH YOUR ADDRESS DEAR SO I CAN GET YOUR CANDY OFF TO YOU.

005

Well the theme is “Anything Goes” so I thought I would make a little bag for Pinkys Candy to go in. I have used another of the Fairytale Tildas today and as usual with Tilda I have used Distress Inks to colour her.

Flesh – Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Worn Lipstick, Hair Frayed Burlap, Dress & Shoes – Spun Sugar, Apron and Socks – Weathered Wood.

The papers are from my stash, and the Brown Bag is available from Crafts U Love. Of course the gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts,

006 I have distressed the edges of the image with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and whilst it was still damp I sprinkled it with Holographic Embossing Powder and heated it with a Heat Gun, I really like this look for the edge of an image.

I will be back later with my Wags-n-Whiskers DT Card

Summer Fun

006a

Once again Lili of the Valleys new Release Busy Bears is selling out fast, they went on sale on the Lili of the Valley website yesterday and the girls were busy all day taking orders so if you want them hurry over whilst they still have them in stock.

006

“Window Box”  from the collection is one of my favourite Summer Images, I love the little details like that cute Birdie.  The images has been coloured with Copics, I have added Glossy Accents to the Window and Watering Can, and lots of glitter to the flowers.  The stunning papers are by MME Quite Contrary Collection, Martha Stewart Deep Border Punch and Butterfly punch have also been used on here.  Flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts,  Paul has some new Roses on the site and have you seen the fabulous Satin Ribbon they are stocking, I cannot believe the price.

007

I have used the fabulous Dawny P sketch on this weeks Papertake Challenge, thanks Dawny it is perfect

013a

Another of the new Lili of The Valley Busy Bears here, this one is called “Just One More” and I am going to enter this card for the Just Cute Bears Challenge, where the theme is One for the men

013

I wish you could see the Red Glitter I have added to the BarBQ it really looks as if the coals are red hot.  The papers are Heidi Grace and I found them in my scrap drawer, now I wish I had bought more sheets I just love them for Mens cards.  Again the image has been coloured with Copics.  The sentiment was computer generated.

008

I have just seen the  weekend weather forecast on Breakfast news, looks as if we are in for a hot and sunny weekend, so I think I will try to get as much challenge and commission work done today, so I can spend some time in the Sun, hope it re-charges my batteries.
