Wimbledon Wednesday

Its quarter final day at Wimbledon and for once the sun is shining, of course Murray mania has taken hold of us especially after the dire results on Sunday (which I can not even bare to talk about), I would just like to wish Andy success in his match and Hope that This is the year!!.

Its the Week for the New Whiff of Joy Challenge and this week we have a great sketch by our own Kim for you to follow, thanks hun xx

I have used two stamps from the new Whiff of Joy City Girls Collection, Handsome Oakley and Willow with Coffee to Go, what a perfect teenage card these images make, we are so short of images for this age group.  The 30mm Brown Wild Rose, 15mm Roses,  Pearls and Rosebuds are all from Wild Orchid Crafts the lush paper is from the Linen Closet Pad by DCWV, paperclip and ticket are by Tim Holtz.

Hi Baby

 

Sorry no blogging for ages then 2 in one day but the Liquid Pearls hadn’t dried when I posted my A Spoonfull of Sugar DT card this morning.  I found this fabulous Challenge whilst commenting lat night and just had to have a go at making a card for it, it was a gorgeous sketch and it gave me the excuse to use my new Hanglar and StAnglar stamps.   So this card is for the Lovely Hanglar Only Challenge No. 3

Thanks to the tip off from the lovely Rach I managed to get my hands on this latest Hanglar set from e-bay.  I have used some papers from my scrap drawer I am sure they are by Bo Bunny.  All the stamps used on here are from the same Stamp Set .  The ribbon is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The butterflies have been punched with a MS Punch from vellum which I coloured on the back with a pink Prisma pencil.

My Furry Friend

Good Morning everyone, a card for a challenge today, first time for ages, but just had to use this gorgeous stamp by Gillian Roberts for Stampavie, Crafters Companion have just started to stock Stampavie images so of course I had to go over and order some of my favourites.  Then I saw Dawny P's fabulous sketch on Papertake Weekly Challenge and decided it was perfect to show off the sweet image.

Magnolia papers are just so versatile I can always find one that suits an image, I have used Copics to colour this little cutie, I love that cute teddie and would like to find one like that in my Christmas Stocking.

The  30mm Pink and White Wild Rose, 15mm Roses, 10mm Roses, 5mm Rose Buds and Diamante Slider are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The border has been punched with a Martha Stewart Border Punch.

What a cop out I am this week, I should have cut all ther papers out and made a patchwork square, but I am struggling with Card  Making at the moment so I have used this gorgeous Patchwork paper from Nitwits Collection.  It is a very plain card today as I wanted the papers to speak for themselves.  The Image and Sentiment are from the Penny Black Bundle of Joy Transparent Set.  The ribbon (which is actually pink but looks lilac on the photo) is from Fantastic Ribbons, I have used a Martha Stewart around the page punch from Crafters Companion to frame the image which has been coloured with Copics.

I was wondering if anyone else had trouble finding the inspiration for Card Making and Blogging after having a break, it has been really hard this week.
Well sorry it is a bit short there is a certain Football Match that I just have to watch!!!!!
COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!  I AM SURE WE CAN DO IT.

This sweet wedding Tilda has been coloured with Copics again, I really must make an effort to get out my Distress Inks this weekend, it is an age since I used them to colour an image. I have used the fabulous download papers from Bearly Mine designs again, I am just loving these soft peach and apricot colours. The gorgeous large Apricot Wild Rose,  Cherry Blossom and Diamante Ribbon Slider are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I cannot remember where I got the lovely Heart Doyley from. The Flat Back Gems are from The Hobby House.

Lili of the Valley Challenge DT card

Thank you so much everyone for the wonderful messages of support you left me,  you have no idea how they have helped we are still in the middle of a family crisis which doesn't seem to be getting better, but I have been helped this week by a couple of really good friends Bev and Lin thanks girls I hope to be able to pay you back sometime.   I have decided I am trying to get back to card making instead of dwelling on things so hope to make a start tomorrow.

Our Lovely Pink Piggy Dawny P has designed an awesome sketch for this weeks Challenge on Lili of the Valley Challenge and my wonderfully talented DT teamies have just created the most stunning  cards to give you inspiration, so I do hope you can come and join us.

I have not used this Fairy Stamp for ages and really enjoyed colouring her with my copics.  The papers are A Nitwit Download, the 30mm 2 Tone Blue Wild Rose, 35mm White Wild Rose,  2Tone Cornflower Blue Cherry Blossom and 4mm Antique Blue Rosebud are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, the Ticket Sentiment was from Bev.

Better late than Never

I am so sorry I have been AWOL for the last week, I have had some horrible family issues and I am also feeling absolutely exhausted so decided to have a bit of a break. 

I know I am late with my DT card for Just Magnolia Challenge , although it had been made for over a week, I also did not manage to make a card for Penny Black Saturday Challenge sorry girls!!!! will try to do better this week.

I have used 2 of the new Magnolia Release stamps on this card Tilda with Peony and Wedding Rose Arch, from Crafts U Love, and have used Copics to colour.  The Magnolia Papers match Perfectly, The Swirls are from A Sizzix Die from Crafters Companion, Flowers and Gems are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Now for some news

On Friday Bev and I made a trip to Ideal World, Create and Craft for a Screen Test, Lisa and Laila from Lili of the Valley had asked us both if we would be prepared to present the new Lili of the Valley Collection on a live show in July with one of them.  As you can imagine it came as a complete surprise, at first we said we would be too nervous but after more thought we decided to give it a go, and surprise surprise we actually passed the screen test, I think it was the scariest thing I had ever done. 

This is the card I used for my demonstration, I made it very plain as I didn’t want to give myself extra pressure.  I have coloured LOTV Rosie Posie with Copics and used Magnolia Backing Papers again, and don’t faint, I only used 3 Wild Orchid Crafts Light Pink Cherry Blossom.

I will try to be a bit more productive this week and post a bit more often,

Good Morning

This weeks Challenge on A Spoonfull of Sugar has been chosen by our Teamie Joanne and has the lovely Theme of SUMMER 

 

Hope you will agree that Lili of The Valleys Thistledown Fairy says Summer just looking at her.  She has been coloured with Copics and Glamour Dust.  I followed Bevs Video Tutorial on Wild Orchid Crafts Blog to make the bow, Bev this is the first really good bow I have made with out the help of a bow maker, thanks dear.  Of course the Cherry Blossom and Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I am not sure who the papers are by as after much searching for matching paper I found these in my scrap drawer.

And Here is much much belated Just Magnolia Card, I just didn’t have time to do this before our Post last Friday but Bev kindly added it to the Blog yesterday.

 

My New Magnolia Bridal collection stamps arrived from Crafts u Love and Bunny Zoes Crafts last week and it was so hard not to stamp them, but I actually had a spare hour yesterday so of course they were the first thing I picked up.

Our dear Mina has given us a fabulous sketch to work with on Just Magnolia this week, thanks dear.  Copics were used to colour the Bride and Bridesmaid image.  I have cut out the image and added it to a lovely Nestie Label, the papers are by Magnolia, Martha Stewart Heart Border punch is perfect for this card, the Ribbon and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as usual.

Thanks for looking, missing you all, but I should be finished all this work by Friday, then I will be taking a 7 day break and hopefully spend the whole 7 days visiting and catching up with you all.

Crafters Companion New Release from Jayne Nestorenko

Time to show you a few more cards I have been making for Crafters Companion in the last 2 months, this morning sees the release of Jayne Nestorenkos latest designs in the Cute Companions Range.  These new stamp plates are going to be a real hit with Cute Companion lovers, they are something completely different and will work with all the previous Cds and Stamps.  Jayne will be demonstrating  the complete set of stamps at 10am this morning on Create and Craft (Sky 671).

All the images on this card are from the New Arrival stamp plate and have been coloured with Copics, the plaid paper is from Crafters Companion Beatrix Potter CD.  It is too long since I used this Large Daisy Border Punch by Martha Stewart I will keep it on my desk to remind me to use it more.  Cherry Blossom, 10cm Roses and Rose Buds are all from Wild Orchid Craft.

These images are from the Birthday Banner set, I just love the stamp with the row of houses, what a versatile stamp to have in your collection, I can see it being used for New Home Cards.

Well what an anticlimax  it was last night, I could not believe what I was seeing when Green dropped that ball and I had just been thinking how pleased I was he was playing in goal and not David James, who always worries me.   Oh well a draw is better than losing I suppose but it dosn’t feel like it this morning, just hope we do better on Friday.

I am still working all the hours to finish work for up coming new releases, so I may be AWOL this week, but will try to post some days.

One of the lovely new stamps I bought at Biggin Hill again for you today, I have used Copics as usual and my new must have DCWV Citrus pad, this pad has completely changed my colour palette I used to hate bright colours especially oranges and yellows, but I am being to really enjoy using them now.

I have been waiting for this day for ages now but at last its here our First World Cup Match, I am keeping everything crossed that we win our first Match

Lili of the Valley Challenge

Cannot believe it is a fortnight since we showed you all those sneak peeks of the new release from Lili of the Valley, cannot believe how many we are seeing around blog land you must certainly of got your orders in early, I know Lisa and Laila were inundated with order in the first week.  We have a new Challenge for you this week, a lovely sketch by DawnyP and some super Candy from our Sponsors for this challenge Wild Orchid Crafts.  Talking of Wild Orchid Crafts Paul and Siri have uploaded lots of Yummy Roses, Ribbon, Diamante Buckles and the fabulous extra tacky glue Bev and I use for attaching our flowers and embellies .

I just cannot get enough of these fabulous Vintage papers from Bearly Mine designs there seems to be one to match every image I colour.  The sweet Lili of the Valley  image from the new release.  The beautiful White Rose was sent to me by Paul and Siri I know they have been uploaded to the website now, the Varicolour Pink roses and 15cm Pink Roses ae also from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I have added Liquid pearls and Glamour Dust to the little sweeties dress.
