Lili of the Valley Challenge and Sneak Peek No 4

001a

Its Challenge 64 on Lili of the Valley Challenge this week and we have a Theme for you this week “ONE FOR THE BOYS” and a fabulous £10 voucher to spend on the Lili of the Valley Website.  As usual our Dt have produced the most fantastic cards they just seem to get better every week.

001

Oh Dear my Mojo has gone on the run, it was so hard to make this card , I had no inspiration and that is so unusual when I have LOTV images to play with, I think I am tired and have crafted myself out with commissions etc this last month.  May take a rest from cardmaking  for a couple of days I have enough made to still be able to post.

Love this paper, I think it is by Imaginise, the Martha Stewart Border Punch is fast becoming one of my favourites especially for those dreaded boys cards.

002 The copics I used:

Flesh:  E27, E00, E000, E0000

Boat – BG15, BG11, BG10, E40

Shirt Trousers Shoes, E71, E70, E40

Now for my card for Day 4 of the Adorables Sneak Peeks

014a

Todays card is from the Sharing Plate I know every time I post a card I say I love the images  but this one has really stolen my heart I just love the wonderful faces on these two little girls Jayne has managed to capture.  Well the launch show is tomorrow and I for one cannot wait to see it I really think Sara and Jayne have cracked it with this one.  The CD that Crafters Companion  have created to go with these stamps is one of their best the backing papers are awesome and I will be using them on lots of my Christmas cards this year.  You have a chance to win £30 of Jaynes stamps from previous releases if you pop over to the Crafters Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog and leave a comment.  You will also find the links to the DTs blogs to see todays sneak peeks from them.

014

I have not used the background stamp on this card, (it is a Staircase), but have used a sentiment and accessory stamp.  The gorgeous plaid paper is from the CD.  Poinsettias are from Wild Orchid Crafts,

Finally I have a photo from Charlies 2nd birthday outing with his Nannys, we had a great time and Charlie had us in stitches, he just loves an audience.

Adorables Sneak Peek 3

001a

Day 3 of the Crafters Companion Jayne Nestorenko Adorables Sneak Peeks, not long to go now before you can get your hands on this little cuties.  Todays post has been scheduled as it is Charlies 2nd Birthday today and we are off to the Wild Life Park, hope the weather stays dry.

001

This card is made from the Loving Collection, I have again used three of the stamps on the sheet, Window, Girl and Sentiment, I like this image as it can be used all year through not just for Christmas.  I have again used Copics and Prismas to colour the image.  As usual Jayne has captured the beautifully the essence of childhood with the set of stamps.

I am afraid you cannot see the gorgeous snowflakes to well on this card, but they have been cut from acetate on the Cricut  and then I have covered them in Glossy Accents and sprinkled with Twinklets.

002

I have remembered the copics used on this one:

Trousers, Seat and Sky – BG13, B11, Bg10

Cat ,Hair and Wood  - E71, E70, E40

Flesh – E21, E00, E000, E0000

See you tomorrow for the Lili of the Valley Challenge,  and don’t forget to go and post your comments  on the Crafters Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog, where you will also find  a sneak peek from Wendy and links to the rest of the DT’s blogs  where they will also be showing cards from the collection.

I have used Copics and Prismas to colour the image, The ribbon, Rose, cherry blossom and 5mm Rose Buds and  pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the decorative borders have been punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and the charm was a RAK but I think it came from The Range.

014

Just a little Reminder the Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge is a great sketch this month and we have opened up the challenge to all makes of stamps and images (not just Crafters Companion) so i do hope you will come and join us.

016a

My Dt card for todays A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge is another card from Lili of the Valley it was just perfect for our theme this week ANIMALS.

016

The sharp eyed amongst you who have seen my card on the A Spoonfull of Sugar Blog will notice I have changed the colour of the flowers, I had been staring at the card whilst in bed and knew there was something wrong with it, I realised it was the colour of the flowers they just didn’t match, so off they came and into the bin with them.

The flowers have been punched with The Magnolia Doo Hickey Flower Die, I bought from Crafts U Love, I have added a 15mm Open Rose from Wild Orchid Crafts  to the middle of each  flower, the roses have been sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist then edged with Stardust Stickles.  The large Snowflake behind the image is one of my new Spellbinders Dies that arrived Monday Morning, you can pre-order your new Spellbinders on Crafters Companion Website now.  This is the second Polar Bear image in the new Lili of the Valley Christmas Animal Collection, I have coloured it with Copics and Prismas.

017

Copics used:

Bears C2, Coo

Scarves: R27, R05, R02, YG93, YG91, E40

Sledge: E71, E70

I have gone around the edge of the image with a Dark Blue Prisma pencil and used Sansodor to blend.

Thanks for looking

These images are taken from the stamp plate called Caring, and that's just what I am feeling about them, I have made a simple step card for this one and have coloured them all with Copics, I am so sorry but as I made them ages ago I have forgotten which colours I used .  I punched the snowflakes with a Martha Stewart punch from plain blue card which I then add Stardust Stickles to.  I used the Martha Stewart Ribbon punch down the side.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

002a

I am so pleased I have been able to make my DT card for Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week, this was one of the first DT’s I  was on, and Penny Blacks were the first stamps I bought, I really should use them more.  I am sure there are many of you out there like me, who have so much rubba and no time to use it.

Anyway on to this weeks Challenge we would like to see your creations using our Recipe MAUVE, BROWN, CREAM, we also have a great prize donated by Penny Black these 2 fabulous stamps:

image image

Do hope you will come and join in our challenge this week.  To see the fantastic cards created by my fellow awesome DT teamies please pop over the the PENNY BLACK CHALLENGE blog.

 002

I have used some papers I bought at Ally Pally earlier this year but I throw the front of the pack away, I think they were called Milton & Co.  I have used two images by Penny Black , I just thought the little hedgie stand on the flowerpot looked as if he was smelling the flower.  I have listed the copic colours I used at the bottom of this post.  The Ribbon, Pearls, Cherry Blossom, 30mm Wild Rose and Rosebuds are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Whist I was tiding this week I found 4 pots of Bedazzles that I hadn’t used for years so thought I would use the Jazz Bedazzles for the centre of the flowers, they look fab IRL.

003

Copics Used:

Fur (Prickles) – E71, E70, E40

Face: YR01, R12

Plant Pot: E17, E15, E13, E11, E50

Flowers: BV02, BV000

Have a good weekend and thanks for your visit.

Just Magnolia Challenge & 1 for Papertake Weekly

001a

It’s the first Friday of the month so time for our Special Monthly Challenge which as always is sponsored by Heidi and her team from Simon Says Stamp with a $30 voucher, and she even pays the shipping!

We have decided to have a little change on how we run our Special Monthly Challenges.  We want to inject a bit of fun into it (and make life easier for us all) so from this challenge onwards we are going to set the Special Monthly challenges as "Anything Goes".

Today the design team are all using the Crackled Glass technique (which is what the challenge was going to be originally).  If you would like to join our challenge we would love to have you try out this technique OR "Anything Goes", it is up to you.

001

OMG this must be one of the worst cards I have ever made, the Original Challenge on Just Magnolia this week Was Cracked Glass Technique as I said, this was going to be the first time I had done this and I thought it was going to be easy!  easy it was one of the most frustrating techniques I have ever, ever tried.   The first disaster was the Triple Embossing Powder: I have a great big box of the stuff so I spooned loads of it over the Versamarked image and off I went with the Heat Gun, disaster the powder had been contaminated and the whole image had black spots all over it whilst burning my fingers trying to remove the black spots the image fell face down onto the carpet, when I picked it up she was covered in carpet fibre and looked like the bearded woman.  I coloured another image and that little light bulb came on in my head and I had the mad idea to use Glossy Accents, it seemed to work at first but 6 hours later I was still waiting for it to dry.  It did eventually dry and after putting it in the freezer for a few minutes I was able to crack it, but had no control where the cracks went so now behold I have a wrinkled Faced Tilda and no time to make another, so her she is wrinkles and all.

003

I have used a Sheet from the Prima Annelee paper pad, which I love, the Swirls are also by Prima, and of course the flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts, the Copics used are:

Flesh: E21, E00, E000, E0000

Hair: E37, £17, E15, E13, E11, E50

Top: R83, R81, RV000

Trousers: BG13, BG11, BG10

Shoes: E71, E70, E40

The bags are coloured with a mixture of all these colours.

Now I am going to post a card I was leaving for tomorrow, just because I am so disappointed with the Magnolia.

005c

I am not even that pleased with this card, think I must have lost my MOJO after the above palaver hope it comes back today.  This card is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge where the Theme is ONE so I have used 1 backing Paper.

005

The papers on this card are last years Bo Bunny Christmas papers, The sentiment is a Magnolia Image. The Lace and Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I am sure you will recognise that the lovely Amy Dropping Presents image is from Lili of the Valley, she has been coloured with Copics :

Fleash as above

Coat: R27, R05, R02, R01

Scarf: YG 93, YG91, E40.

Shoes and Puppy C7, C5, C2, C0, c00

005a Have a good day everyone, I am off to check if Mr Mojo has come back

Lili of the Valley Challenge

005a

Good Morning everyone, I cannot believe just how quickly time is going and it seemed to hit me by surprise that it is already Thursday, once again at Lili of the Valley Challenge we have a great challenge for you, this week it is another of Bevs fabulous sketches, and Paul and Siri from Wild Orchid Crafts have agreed to sponsor us with a lovely prize, thanks to you both xx.

005

It’s James the bear again this week, he is such a little cute  isn’t he, if you haven’t already got your new stamps from Lili of the Valley and you are anywhere near Manchester this weekend Lisa and Laila will both be at the Manchester show so do pop over and see them.

I have used papers from my stash drawer for this card, Punched and Glittered Martha Stewart Snowflakes, 10mm roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and Bling Swirls from Prima , the Label is a Nestie die and the sentiment stamp is from Whiff of Joy.  I have as usual used Copics and Prismas to colour James.

007 Copics Used:

James: E53, E51, E50

Hat and Cracker: BG15, Bg11, BG10, C03, C02, C00

I thought you might like to see a couple of cards I made Yesterday for the Lili of the Valley Stall at Manchester, I had to get them off in the Post pretty quick, for them to arrive today.

002 001

As the Little Boy is named after Owen I thought I ought to use the proper school uniform colours didn’t realise how good they would look, I am really pleased with them.  The 2 cats that Owen is saying goodbye to are cut using a Doo Hickey Die by Magnolia.

Crafters Companion Challenge

001a

The First of the month means its time for Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge. This month we are changing the rules for entry into the challenge, although the DT will all be using Crafters Companions images we have decided to open up the entries to any image from any company, so that gives you plenty of scope, but for those of you who do use a Crafters Companion image you will be entered into the Prize Draw twice, so you have two chances of winning, does that sound good!!! It is even better when you know what this months candy is

SARA HAS KINDLY DONATED A £30 VOUCHER TO SPEND ON THE CRAFTERS COMPANION WEBSITE FOR THIS MONTHS PRIZE

Our fellow DT Member Leann has designed a fabulous sketch for us this month so I do hope you can come and join us.

layout 3 - square card

I didn’t manage to do much crafting yesterday, I meant to but I started spring cleaning the Craft Room at 8am and didn’t finish until about 5.30pm, but hopefully now I know where everything is again.

001

I have decided to use another Crafters Companion SWALK Image for this card, I was looking through all the images and I decided this one would make a fabulous Christmas Card by changing the Rain into Snow, I think it has worked, the snow actually looks better IRL than in the photo.  The Paper is from the SWALK CD and I have used the colouriser feature to get the colour I wanted, I don’t use this feature enough, it is a real help when you haven’t got papers to match your colouring.  The Lush lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts , and the snowflakes have been punched with Martha Stewart Snowflake Punches and then glittered with Glamour Dust.

The Copics I have used to colour the image are as follows:

Flesh – E21, E00, E000, E0000

Hair -  E71, E70, E40

Coat & boots – R17, R05, R02

Umbrella – R17, R05, R02, R01, R00

Skirt – YG71, YG73

002

Do hope we will see your entries this Month, you can combine your entries with any other challenge and the £30 Website Voucher is well worth winning there are some great products on the website.

Pop back this evening when I will post a Little Candy for you

Hugs
