More Sneaks Peeks

002a

I wanted to show you as many sneak peeks as possible before tomorrows release of the Lili of the Valley Summer collection so today we have one for the boys.

002My Boys all played Rugby and I love the game myself so this little image really appealed to me, heres a challenge from the colours used on his top can you guess my favourite Rugby Team!!!

I have used Copics to colour this little Image of Owen playing Rugby, I am again sorry for the quality of the picture, the scrummy papers are from the Digi Downloads I purchased from Bearly Mine Designs.  By the way Donna has a sale going on on the Bearly Mine Site fantastic prices on the downloadable papers and 2 new sets as well, they are lush Vintage and Vintage Stripes Ohhhhh!! but pop across today as the offer closes tonight.

002c

And now one for the girls

011a I cannot imagine any little girl from 9 to 90 would not love these dressing up images.  I know a soon as Lisa showed them to me, I just melted and couldn’t wait to start colouring, well not long for you to wait to own them yourselves now.

011

I have again used copics, and papers from my scrap draw, since finding the wonderful flowers on Wild Orchid Crafts, I am afraid my flat flowers have been neglected, but I really like the look on here, the centre brads are from The Hobby House.

011c

As soon as I have finished posting this I will be posting a blog candy to celebrate the fact that I have been blogging now for 2 year wow that has gone quick, so pop back later to have a go at the candy.

Free Digi Download and An Afternoon in the Garden

004a

I am off to the local Wildlife Park with the Grandchildren today so do hope the predicted rain holds off, this is our visit real outing of the year.

We have a terrific Theme for you this week on Penny Black Challenge “In The Garden” and my fellow DT members have created some awesome cards to tickle your taste buds, please pop over and see, we are also sponsored this week by PB stamps with an awesome prize of 15% lifetime discount on their fabulous range of PB Stamps.

004

After seeing the wonderful 3d cards on the Butterfly Kisses stall last week and of course I have been an admirer of our very own Debby’s 3d work since I started crafting, I thought I would give it another go on this card.   I have used 4 stamps from the “Wonderful Day” Transparent set of Penny Black Stamps to make this little scene, the images have been coloured with Copics, the sentiment is also a PB stamp.  The papers are Butterfly Kisses download from Nitwits Collection.  The Pink Curly Wild Rose, pink & white Cherry Blossom, small pink Roses and Glass Sparkles are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

005

Now I have some really exciting news of a Free Digi Download from Whiff of Joy

010a You are just not going to want to miss this fantastic offer from the lovely talented and generous Katharina, she is giving away a free download of Henry Spider Mouse designed by Alison Acton on her Blog today, just click here to get yours .

010

Isn’t he fantastic I can see this appealing to Men and Boys of any age and this card is going to my GS Robert.  I have coloured Henry with Copics, then cut him out and attached him to acetate to give the apperance of him travelling through the air attached to his web.  The houses in the background are a Magnolia Stamp and have also been coloured with Copics.  I could not manage to really give you the idea of  him flying through the air but it looks really good IRL.

009  Can you see it better in this picture.  I bet you cannot wait to finish reading this to get over to Katharinas  blog to get your free copy.

Have a great weekend

006a

The challenge on Just Magnolia this week is Hot and Spicy – now you can interpret this as you wish, either Hot as in summer, weather, colours or Spicy as food, colours, or both together.  Don’t forget that you can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please.

006I have gone for hot as in Summer but have used red as a Hot colour too.  Sweet little Tilda is sitting on her sugar sack keeping cool eating her lolly and waiting for Edwin, how could he resist her looking as pretty as this.  I NEVER use copics to colour Tilda  but after seeing some of the beautiful cards made by my fellow DT members I thought I would give it a go and I am quite pleased with the result, may have to do this again.  The sentiment and Sugar sack are both Magnolia Stamps the Paper is also from Magnolia.  The White medium Curly Rose, Red Cherry Blossom and small white tea roses and rose buds are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

007

For this weeks Challenge  we also have another of  Bev’s awesome sketches  and everyone of the DT’s cards features a different Sneak Peek of the new Images.

I think this little baby is my favourite it is so easy to colour but so effective.  I have used my copics again and the gorgeous Bearly Mine digital download papers that are my new favourite buy.  I have also used the medium Cream Curly Wild Rose, Blue and White Cherry Blossom and blue tea roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The sentiment which I think is just perfect for this image is by Whiff of Joy .

006

I am sure you would not mind me showing you another sneak peek, this one is A Get Well Image

001I don’t like the look of the Carrot medicine the poorly bunny has to take, bless him.  More papers from Bearly Mine Designs  and Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and the image is again coloured with copics.    I will be posting lots more sneak peek during the next week.  Don’t forget to pop over to the challenge blog and join in the Candy and hopefully join us in this fortnights challenge.

002

I cannot believe I have not had the time to ink up and colour this great Lili of the Valley Busy Bears image, wouldn’t he be great for Fathers Day, which is just around the corner.  I could kick myself I found these papers in my stash and didn’t keep a note of where I got them from or who they are by!!! but they are perfect for make cards.  I have used copics to colour the image, the other items used on the card are Martha Stewart Border Ounch, Tim Holtzs Ticket and Pin and Raffia from the local pound shop.  Don’t forget its time for the New Lili of the Valley Challenge this Thursday, if you are a Lili of the Valley  lover you will not want to miss this challenge we have sneak peeks of the new releases from the DT and also some extra special Candy so make a note to join us on Thursday.

Sundays Child x 2

001a

I thought I would have a little me time again today and use some of my stamps that have never seen ink, I think I may have to go and have therapy  for this stamp addiction I have, along with my backing paper addiction and my many other craft related addictions :).

I did manage to get a bit of blogging done today but then the Sun came out and the gardening called,  it was nice though because I managed to get Mum out in the garden with me and I am sure it did her good, hopefully I should get a whole nights sleep as she even asked to go to bed.  Tomorrow I am off to a little Craft Fair in Biggin Hill with my good friend Lin, but I am hoping not to spend much maybe a couple of Nesties!!!!!!!

001 Anyway down to todays cards, as you can see I am still in love with these fabulous papers from Bearly Mine Designs, Donna was a naughty girl and e-mailed me that she had two more downloads on there well need not tell you what happened.  I have used Distress Inks to colour this gorgeous Belles ‘n Whistles Cupcake image here are the colours used.

Flesh – Tattered Rose, Antique Linen, Trousers a mix of Shabby Shutters and Bundled sage, Hat and Apron – Antique Linen  Blouse Flowers and Cupcake – Victorian Velvet, Hat Antique Linen.  Re-inkers from Crafters Companion.

Martha Stewart Punches were used for the Butterflies and Border, and the swirls are a stamp from Stempleglede which  are now available in the UK  from Quixotic Paperie  Yippeee!!  of course the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I am entering this card for the Sketch Saturday Challenge this week, thanks for the lovely sketch.

Pretty in Purple

005a

The forecast said it was going to be very warm this weekend, well here it is quite cold and misty so I am hoping the mist will soon disappear and sun come out.

This weeks challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is LOTS OF DOTS:

as always it is up to you what you create....a card...altered art..scrapbook layout etc...the only RULE being that you use at least ONE PENNY BLACK IMAGE... LARGE SENTIMENT OR STICKEROO and at pains of sounding like a long playing record...please do not enter cards with another manufacturer's image and just a small Penny Black sentiment....it isn't fair to all the lovely folks who do abide by the rules.

005I have used one of the Older PB images for this card, I love here chubby little knees.  She has been coloured with Copics and the spots on her dress have been glittered with Glamour Dust.  The gorgeous papers are from Donnas fabulous new Download paper releases from Bearly Mine Designs, there are 3 sets Gingham, Dots and Flowers and every single paper is scrummy.  Don’t the Wild Orchid Crafts roses go well with this image.

006Hope you all have a wonderful weekend

JUST MAGNOLIA CHALLENGE

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Tracy of Dies to die for. DTDFvoucher

Our challenge this week is a sketch provided by Jane. You can rotate and or flip the sketch, as long as we can still see the basic sketch on your creation. Don’t forget that you can combine our challenge with any other challenges of your choice as long as the main image on your creation is a Magnolia stamp you will qualify to be in the draw for the fab prize. And remember NO back linking, new projects/cards only please.

The winner will be chosen by Random Generator next week so to be in the running all you need to do is ensure you have at least one Magnolia image on your card and link your card (not your blog) in Mr Linky and have your card posted by 8pm UK time next Thursday 27th May.

sketch

This is one of those cards that I am really really unhappy with, but I just have not got time to do another one, I don’t know what it is about this card UI dislike so much!! but it certainly doesn't do justice to Janes lovely sketch.

008I have used magnolia papers and distress inks, I think it must be the colours I don’t like, you know me a real pastel girl, and I also creased the waterproof paper when I was try to shape Tilda. Wild Orchid Crafts flowers have been used as usual, and I cannot get enough of the Martha Stewart Star Punch, I lurve it.

008c

WAGS N WHISKERS CHALLENGE

010a

It is my turn to host the challenge this week so I have chosen the theme "Just Good Friends". You can either make a card using one our images with two characters, or you can just make a card for a friend. I am leaving the challenge open to interpretation. Just remember that you must use a Wags 'n Whiskers stamps.

010 Distress Inks have been used again for this one and also the obligatory Wild Orchid Crafts roses. The papers are from my scarp drawer and the Martha Stewart half daisy punch has been used for the borders. I think this is my favourite of the new Wags N Whiskers release and that Ice cream looks so scrummy and just what I need up here in the eves where I am absolutely melting.

010b Hugs
