Having a Play

001a

Yesterday I decided to have a play with my punches I had seen this fantastic tutorial by my Fellow Teamie  Jane on the Whiff of Joy Inspiration and Tutorial Blog and have wanted to have a go at it for ages.

001

I have followed Janes  layout  quite closely for my first effort as I wasn’t that confident but hopefully the next card I make using this technique will be all my own idea. Thanks Jane this was a fab tut easy to follow and I love the results, even thought I was so eager to get on I forgot to ink the edges of the punched flowers etc.

I am sure you recognise that the image is one of Lili of the Valley’s awesome Fairys , she has been coloured with Copics, and the Magnolia paper seemed to be a perfect match.   The Red & White Cherry Blossom,  and 30mm White Rose & Rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the flat back pearls are from The Hobby House.

I am off to the outlet centre this morning for a bit of retail therapy!!

Hi Jacqui!

Ha ha! Have fun on the best therapy ever!!! I will go tomorrow, with my friend Marit. We have an appointment for therapy in a small, but original craft shop, hihi, I'm sure we'll feel better afterwards.
I love this card you made here!!! Very beautiful and I don't mind at all that you didn't ink the edges, maybe even better this way in the all-white! It looks fairytale-like, very pretty!!

Hugs, Wendy

ooo Jacqui this is a stunning creation! I love the red/white and sparkle and immediately thought what a wonderful Christmas card she would make! I must try to remember and also have a go at the punched elements around the edges of the aperture - I still have several aperture cards left from my x-stitching days so this would be a great way to use them up!
have fun shopping!
