Its a Girl Thing

A Spoonfull of Sugar

For our Challenge this week we have a fab sketch created by our very own Caryn for you to follow,Thanks for this Caryn. We are also sponsored this week by the fabulous Mo from Mo's Digital Pencil, so I do hope you an join us again this week, the DT have created some wonderful cards this week so pop over to A Spoonfull of Sugar and see their creations and find out more.

Caryn this is a fabulous sketch dear so easy to use, Little Xmas Lizzie by Elizabeth Bell for Whiff of Joy has been coloured with Distress Inks (Tattered Rose, Broken China, Tea Dye, Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters), the image has been distressed around the edge with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and have added Perfect pearls to her necklace. I knew there was something wrong with this card I just hated it when I actually posted it, I have just visited Rach and I know what theproblem is, somehow I stuck her on straight instead of on the slant and she just looks weird, sometimes I even surprise myself what a muppet I am.

Stamp - Xmas Lizze from Whiff of Joy
Colouring Medium - Distress Inks (see post for colours)
Papers - Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses Bunny Zoes Crafts
Tools - Martha Stewart Snowflake Punches
Embellies - Spacers - The Hobby House, Pearls from Stash as is Ribbon, Charms Rak from BEV

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Wow the most wonderful Candy on offer at the Sugar Bowl Challenge this week 4 of the new release Sugar Nellie Christmas stamps plus 4 other stamps of your choice Wow!!! this is the info posted on Sugar Bowl Blog

Challenge 21 – Tiets’ Sketch
‘Please include’ – Christmas (or if you do not celebrate Christmas, a Winter theme)

Well at last I have been able to ink up one of the fabulous Xmas Manga Girls from Sugar Nellie, I just adore these little girls. She has again been coloured with Distress Inks, (Broken China, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Tea Dye, Weathered Wood) and lots of Glimmer Dust has been added to her wand and shoes. The edges of the image has been distressed with Weathered Wood Ink. I have gone a bit mad with the Glitter on this one, the Roses have been sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist then whilst still wet I have dusted them with Glamour Dust, Glamour Dust has also been added to the snowflakes. Wow this add really sparkles IRL.

I have tried to catch the sparkle on the flowers and snowflakes.

Stamps - Xmas Manga Girl from Sugar Nellie, Sentiment from Magnolia
Colouring Medium - Distress Inks (Colours listed above)
Papers - Heidi Grace from The Hobby House,
Tools - Martha Stewart Snowflake Punches
Embellies - Small Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, Large Rose and Lace from Tabby Crafts

Thanks for looking
Jacqui xx
