Sketch Saturday Challenge
Well another great sketch this week from Jo at Sketch Saturday Challenge, thanks Jo we can always be sure to find a sketch to get our mojo going from you and your talented team.
I have some sad news today I am going to step down from some of my DT posts, I am finding it really difficult to keep up with all of them, and I have found I have no time to use the new rubba I keep buying!!!!. Cardmaking is my hobby and it was becoming a chore which made me really sad, I also found it so hard to keep up with commenting and visiting everyones lovely blogs and gathering inspiration from you all. I really love belonging to a Design Team its like being a part of a family so this was a really hard decision.
Today's card for Sketch Saturday Challenge has been made with the lovely Xmas Love Birds from Whiff of Joy, they have been coloured with distress inks as usual and surprise, surprise I have resisted the temptation to add embellishments. I know!!!! shock horror, I had to lay down for half an hour after completing it J.
Recipe:
Stamps - Whiff of Joy Xmas Love Birds, Penny Black Sentiment.
Papers - Basic Grey Wassail Collection
Tools - Martha Stewart Icicle Border Punch
Extras - Lace from Tabby Crafts, rest from stash

oh Jacqui.. I know exactly where you are coming from with this.. I took on too many DT's a while ago, and hnded them over to different people (they were my own challenge blogs).
It's gonna be sad to see you stepping down, but totally get where you are coming from.
Your card is so lovely. I don't actually think it needs much more embellishment than it has.. it is beautiful. Love the stamp too. xx

I'm with you completely Jacqui..... it's so hard to say 'no' when you're asked to join a team but it becomes impossible to get creative just because! Crafting should never be a chore and I so think you did the right thing...... I stepped down from one position yesterday and I'm taking a break from another!
Hope you feel happier now and I bet your mojo will be buzzing..... this is an adorable card and that image is perfectly cute!!!

Your card is beautiful Jacqui, very subtle. Sorry to hear you are stepping down from some of your DT's. That is exactly how I felt and am so much happier playing along at my own pace. Still not worked my way threw all the new rubber mind, but the pressure is off and crafting is now just a hobby again. Will you be staying on at LOTV?? Hiya Jaqcui, first of all very sad that you have to step down for some of your DT posts but hun I really understand why, you have to keep up with everything and you are not superwoman that you can be at 20 places at the same time, so I really understand why....good for you hun, maybe you have a little bit of time for yourself. I do understand, sometimes it is hard to say no but eventually something has to give! It is important to step back sometimes and reassess what is most important, hope you recover your love of your hobby just for the joy of it!

I truly understand your wish to release you from the pressure you were under. Crafting is much better when it is fun and not duty. And I love bloghopping and leaving comments, too, but it takes a lot of time.
