ABC Challenge - Embellishments

The Challenge on ABC Challenge this week is embellishments, I have been really busy over the last few weeks so this is the first time I have been able to join in this challenge. As regular readers of this blog will know I have just started to practise with ProMarkers, but I am finding it hard to give up my Distress Inks. So this week I made two cards using the same sketch by Katharina and thought I would ask you for your opinion as I couldn't chose. The Green, Blue and Orange card is coloured with Distress inks and H20's the papers are Crate paper. This cute stamp has been designed by our very talented fellow blogger Janet and distributed by Spiral Whisper Stamps why don't you visit both of these great blogs, some fantastic items on there. The Mauve and Blue card has been coloured with the ProMarkers and the DP's are by Lili of the Valley

Oh Wowzers Jacqui. I have looked at both these up close and they are both fabulous. You've done a great job with the pro Markers. Must find some time to practice. Hugs, Nikki x

Hmm I like them both :) I think that in reality you will work for some creations with the ink and for others with the promarkers. I am looking into markers as well but I have both watercolour pencils and coloursoft from Derwent to use with Sansodor and use ink pads to color. I guess it all depends on the item that you are going to make?

I have to say I prefer the top one honey but that's because I am into these colours just now. The bottom one is also lovely but the top once clinches it for me. Would probably vote differently next week though - you know how fickle us crafters are! Lol Lynn x

They're equally beautiful Jacqui! I haven't tried colouring with any kind of markers yet and I'm so impressed with your marker colouring! The images are beautiful and the layouts are wonderful. For me it's the distress ink card that leaps out but I think it's for no other reason than that it has the wonderful orange and lime green in it which always speaks to me LOL! Hugs, Chris x
