Whiff of Joy - Project of the Month

Katharina set us a project this month to make a candle, this is a great idea for those small christmas gifts that we have to buy every year.
Well!!! panic is not the word, I have never attempted one of these before but was surprised how easy it was to do in the end. I thought I would also make a little keyring to go with this gift.
My dear friend and fellow DT member Bev has comprehensive instructions on how to make the candle on her fabulous blog and as she is much better at tutorials than Moi click on her name to find out more.

The keyring is really easy I cut the shrink plastic with the 3rd smallest circle nestie, then inked up my Whiff of Joy, Willow with Cookies stamp making sure I only inked the small area I needed and I tried to fade the ink near the edge of her arms so as it didn't have a hard edge. Make sure you punch a hole at the top (not to near the edge) before you shrink the circle, to attach it to the key ring, once shrunk I added little gems round the edge and a large red heart charm I have had for ever.

Finally I wrapped the candle in Florist cellophane (another gift from Bev, what would I do without you hun) and tied a big bow with florist ribbon attached the key ring and tore and curled the long ends of the ribbon.
Don't forget to visit the rest of the WOJ DT team to see their fantastic Candles, I am afraid they put mine to shame.
