Thanks you for the challenge and he glorious DT cards. |I would like to introduce you to Little Fairy Sunshine, she brings joy and happiness where ever she goes. This is a stamp by Stamps Happen, she just flew in today from Sir Stampalot, I must stop visiting that shop it eats money, I think she is fab. I have coloured her with Polychromos Pencils and Sansodor, Yellow is a colour I do not use often but she called out for it. I have loads of Crafting Cds so I thought it was time I used them so all the backing paper and the little strip of green came from The Triple Treasures 2 Background CD, I have mounted it on shocking pink card stock. The little flower brad and flower came from stash and for the verse I used Word. Sorry you cannot read the verse I should have printed it larger but it says "Sunshine makes the clouds go away, she sprinkles her fairy dust and brightens the day". I used one of Claudias lovely sketches for this card, thank you Claudia. I like this one although I say so myself. TFL

Tilda & Friends - By the Sea

Oh I do love to be beside the seaside is the song Tilda is singing today. She has been coloured with distressed inks, I have also added little dots of Glossy Accents to make it appear like water drops, dosn't show on picture but looks quite effective. The background has been stamped with two Judikins stamps, Sky and Sand I just rubbed Marvey Markers over both for the colour, the Lighthouse is from stash I think it may have come from Mad about Cards, and shells are a reminder of my last holiday. I rounded of the corners of the ATC with a corner punch and edged it with Dark Blue chalk ink pad. TFL

Tilda & co No 20 - BEADS OF GLORY

I made two cards this week - I had to hunt around for beads. The first card I made (Dark Red), thought I had gone OTT with the flowers when I had finished it, but decided I would show you anyway. I had to hand-cut the hearts as I am waiting for my Nestabilities, gathered and glued lace around both hearts, Strung some beads which I took off of a T Shirt on thin wire. I distressed cream paper with Inks and stamped it up with baby label stamp from Magnolia and "Miss You" stamp from Exclusive images. Flowers from Poppicraft, and pearls from stash, DP Basic Grey I added Bedazzles to the yolk of her dress, Tilda is coloured with Polychromos pencils and Sansodor.
The second Card (Pink) is a bit simpler, (not much) Thought I would have a go with masking, stamped and masked the fence then coloured the background with blue and green pastel chalks, Tilda bird and fenced all coloured wirh Polychromos again, Tilda's flower's have bedazzels in the centre, run out of single beads, so added a string of pink pearls on top of pink ribbon and added two strings of cream pearls under the flowers, all the stamps are magnolia, I distressed the two heart banners and added a pearl to each. Papers are Basic Grey everything else from stash Hope you like one of them. Tfl

Friday Sketchers Challenge No 2

This looked a difficult sketch when I first saw it, but I have had fun with it. Eloise has been coloured with watercolour pencils and H2o's, I found this method of painting on Katarina's fab blog she has posted her video tutorial on there and it is so clear and helpful, please pop over and check it out. The papers are all New Laura Ashley collection, braid, lace and flowers are from my stash. I stamped leaves with Magnolia stamp and add little pearls to the centre of the flowers, although I had no papers to match the blue on Eloises dress and had to use a different tonal range I don't think it looks to bad, for once I am quite pleased with it. TFL

PTW - Luscious Lilac & Lime

Wow what a challenge, lime and lilac go so well together, and all that scrummy bling to be won, this weeks candy has been donated by SkattyKats and it is gorgeous. Petra the Punk is all dressed up in lilac and has nowhere to go, poor thing. She has been watercoloured with my new watercolour pencils-AquaMonolith by Creatacolor-the colour choice is fantastic and they are so easy to use. Lime green & Lilac card has been matted with papers from Crafters Companion CD. Large flower and Ribbon is from, where else, Poppicraft the flower is lime green although it looks a bit yellow. i used Green pearly doodles in the corner of the image and took my life in my hands and handwrote the sentiment. TFL

Tilda & co - Black & White

At last I have made a card I have had a rotten couple of days and havn't really felt like making anything, never mind back to normal now. I didn't realise how difficult it would be not to colour a Tilda, but enjoyed this challenge in the end. Tilda in her trench coat (or petticoats) is my favoutite magnolia, I have juste colour washed her in black, and used papers from Pink Petticoats Lola Boudoir CD, The sentiment is from Stampingbella, ribbons fron stash, Flowers from Poppicraft. The glitter on her wings and petticoats was supposed to be crystal but it looks a bit blue. Thanks Vicky (Angel Drummer) for giving me the push I needed to get back to making my cards. TFL

Stamp Something-Challenge No1

Thank you for this challenge "First". In honour of your new challenge blog, I thought I would branch out and try something I have wanted to do for ages, but never had the nerve the above is the result. I have always thought that collage work was way above me, but nothing ventured nothing gained, I have also never used stampboard on a card before, not too sure about the result, but any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I really enjoyed doing this card. Down to the basics the stamp is from Graphicus, she has been coloured with Distress Inks, The three labels are all Crafty Individuals Stamps and have been stamped with Sepia Versafine the lace on the label is the same as that at the top I just run one of my ink pads over it. The lovely embellishment is by Dove of the East from Graphicus. I inked up the stampboard with purple, mauve and brown chalk inks and then used 3 layers of UFEP sprinkled some glitter in on the last embossing process and then stamped with the headress stamp.
Hope you like it. TFL

Spring Clean Sunday

Woke up this morning with the sun streaming through my window, thought to myself time for a craft spring clean - you know how it goes - started on sorting out my mounted stamps, well thats as far as it got, I found this stamp that was given to me about 2 years ago and I have never used it - I have only just started stamping. That was it, had to have a go at making a card, here it is, don't you think this is a fab stamp it is called "falling softly" and is a Stamps Happens stamp. Down to details, she is coloured with distressing inks, with White Sakura Glaze pen Highlights on her face and stars. She is backed on to three papers from Crafters Companion, Ribbon is from stash, little blossoms from Crafts U Love and the sentiment from Stampingbella, flourishes are cut with cuttlebug. Hope you like. TFL

TGIF -Pirates

TGIF theme was Pirates this week, I had great fun doing this one. My Grandson Robert has a birthday coming up and as he is Pirate Mad I thought I would make a little card for him and combine the two. I have used a few stamps on this one, Johnny Dempster (Stampingbella), Cask of Rum, map and ahoy from an old Woodware set I remembered I had, Palm Tree (High Hopes) and sand background which I bought ages ago from Stamp Addicts. They have all been coloured with Distress Inks. I distressed around the main Image with Tea Dye ink and also stamped the Map and Ahoy with the same ink, I drew in the ink on the Map to mak it look a bit antique. The backing papers are Dovecraft, and the great ribbon is from Poppycraft, pieces of eight are coins from my stash. Sorry the pirates not Johnny Depp, but he is still cute. TFL

Cute Card Thursday - In the Garden

Another lovely challenge - In the garden, not much hope of that in this weather but we can always dream, we have actually got hale and Thunder at the moment. I stamped up 2 images by Penny Black and thought I would decide which to use when they had been painted, couldn't make up my mind which one I liked the best so thought I would use them both, quite pleased with the results. As usual painted with watercolour pencils, the backing paper is from the new Laura Ashley range, Ribbon from Poppicrafts, flowers and pearls from stash and leaves were just punched. Thanks for looking
