013a

I have 2 cards to post on here today firstly as its Thursday my usual Lili of the Valley Challenge Dt card, and then a card from a fabulous new release by one of my crafting heros, you will have to scroll down to read more of that!!!

Before I get down to my card I have some great news for you Lili of the Valley are now stocking fabulous Super Smooth card for stamping and colouring with Copics and Promarkers,  I have been using this card for all my Copic colouring and cannot recommend it highly enough, you know how hard it is to get a really good quality card that enables you to blend  perfectly this card really does and it is such a reasonable price too, 50 A5 sheets for £5 if you would like to purchase some of this card just click HERE to go direct to the page.

So here is my Lili of the Valley DT Card

The Snowflake border and large Snowflake are punched with my new Martha Stewart Punches and the sentiment is a magnolia Stamp from last years Christmas collection.

Now here is my other news:

New Stamp range and other goodies, launch

One of my Crafting heros  for a long time has been Sheena Douglas  I so admire her style and wish I had half of her talent so you can imagine how excited I was when she asked me to create some cards for the packaging of her new stamp collection, GULP!!!!!!!  I really wasn’t sure if I could do it our styles are so different, but that is what Sheena  wanted as it helped to show how versatile her new stamps are, so with great trepidation I said yes and I am so pleased I did the stamps were a pleasure to work with and made me work outside my comfort zone.    Thank you so much for asking me Sheena and for having faith in me.

I am so happy to be able to let you all know that she is launching her new range of stamps (and more exciting stuff ) on Create and Craft on Saturday Morning at 8am and 10am.   This is not to me missed……. Sheena has recorded a fantastic you tube demo showcasing one of the stamps, and when you see it you’re gonna love it, pop over and have a look here.

004

This is a small image from one of the stamp plates, I am not going to give you any more clues as to what is on the stamp plates, you will have to watch the show.  I have coloured the Violets with Copics, the Doily behind the image is a Marianne Designs Die, as are the swirls.  The paper is a sheet from a Websters Pages 6”x6” pad, and I thought it a perfect match for the stamp.  the lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I will show you another sneak peek from this fantastic collection tomorrorw.

If you are still here thanks for looking, sorry it was such a long one.

Bit late today, but had lots of catching up to do.   It was fabulous to meet so many of you over the weekend, lots of new faces, where I knew your names but now I really feel as if I know you,  and also lots of my lovely, lovely kind friends who I have meet before, I am just so sorry I couldn’t spend a lot of time to chat with you all,  although I did manage to catch a quick ciggie break with dear Marlene.  I am determined to have one day at the NEC where I am not working so we can have a proper catch up.    Thank you all again for taking the time to say hello.

007

I have been waiting for the fabulous new Winter  Collection from Sarah Kay for ages, and how lucky was I Heidi from Stampavie actually bought over the  stamps that Crafters Companion’s companion had on order with them, so they are one of the very first companies to have these in stock.  So if you would like to be one of the first to play with these adorable images  just pop over to the Crafters Companion Website where you will find the stamps Here.  I am entering this card for The Sketch Saturday Challenge .

010a Happy Saturday Everyone,  Our Challenge on PENNY BLACK CHALLENGE this week would of been perfect for the early part of this week.  We would like to see your cards with the theme “INDIAN SUMMER” , hope we see lots of lovely summery cards as we say goodbye to Summer and Hello to Autumn :(.

010

More paper from my Scrap Draw but I happen to know this is a Basic Grey Paper from the Porcelain collection.  I have used Copics to colour my stunning Vintage Penny Black image but I forgot to take a note of the colours as I was in such a rush to get my copics packed for the weekend.  The beige mat behind the image has been cut with a Marianne Design Die, and the sentiment is A Tim Holtzs Ticket.  I have punched three layers with a McGill 5 petal punch for the main flower, which I then distressed with Inks and added glitter to the edges.  The small flowers are punched with a small retro flower   punch.  The pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts

Just Magnolia Challenge

017a We have another of Dawny P ‘s  awesome sketches for you this week on Just Magnolia Challenge,  we are looking forward to seeing lots of creations using the New Family Stamps.

015

This card is so so out of my comfort zone, bright colours are just not my style, also I have only loosely followed  Dawnys Sketch, I think you can see that all the elements are there,  I have swapped a Nesties Snowflake for the Square at the back of the Image and a large bow for the sentiment.  I am still not sure if I like it.

The snowflake in the top corner is cut with a Marianne design Die, and the 3 smaller snowflakes are Martha Stewart Punches.  The Envelope was a stamp from Last Years Magnolia Christmas Collection.

017

I should be on my way to Ally Pally when you read this, My son Matthew is meeting me at St Pancras and taking me out to lunch before carrying  my case down to the Tube for me.  I am going to see Legally Blonde tomorrow night  really looking forward to that, its ages since I have been to a show in London.

I am hoping to meet lots of blogging friends on both days, some of whom I haven’t seen since last years show.  If you are going I do hope you will come and say hello, I will be demoing on the Lili of the Valley stand on Saturday and Crafters Companion Stand colouring SWALK, Peter Rabbit and Maybe Popcorn on Sunday.

012

Hope you all have a good weekend , I have managed to schedule a post for Saturday and Sunday so I hope they work.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

007b

Good Morning  we have a great challenge for you this week on Lili of the Valley Challenge  UNTRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS, we would like to see your creations using unusual colours or images for a Christmas Project or Card.

007

Today I have used the Christmas Magic   stamp from Lili of the Valleys 2010 Christmas Collection and she has been coloured with copics and prismas, with lots of Glimmer mist added.  The Cherry Blossom, Curly Wild Rose, 15mm Roses, and Rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Label is cut with the Doo Hockey Label Die from Magnolia.  Whilst on the subject of the Magnolia Dies thanks everyone who sent me the link to the How To Do It post regarding the new Doily Die ,   unfortunately it still doesn’t work 100% , by having to turn the paper or card to cut the final half of the circle you are left with one half smooth and the other half rough, perhaps I am too fussy but I would just not be happy with that.

006

The Copics used for the image are

Flesh E21, E00, E000, E0000

Hat and Scarf: R83, R81, RV000, BG11, BG10

Teddy & Hair, E53, E51, E20

Have a good day

Autumn is coming

008a

Its hard to believe Autumn is almost here with the fabulous weather we are having, and it is supposed to get even hotter today, bring it on.  I am off the the hairdressers in a minute, Cut and Colour today.  It is a whole day out for me when I go to the Hairdressers as I have to go all the way to Rye which is about an hour on the train from me, but it has an upside as I get to see my grandson Owen.

008

I made this card for a challenge but I cannot remember which one, that sums me up at the moment.  I have used a gorgeous Sugar Nellie Stamp and used Copics to colour.  The awesome paper is from the DVWV Mariposa pad, and I have added gold stickles around the mats as well as around the Wild Orchid Roses.

009a

Sorry its quick, but I must get off, have a good day everyone.

WooHoo Magnolias have arrived

003a
Had a great morning at Oyster Crafts yesterday, and was very good only bought a few things, 2 fabulous AnnaMarie Designs Christmas Templates CD cannot wait to have a play with them, and Five Smooch Inks not sure what or when I will use them but I just cannot resist a bit of bling.  Then when I got home  Joy of Joys my new magnolia Stamps had arrived from Bunny Zoes Crafts, thanks Nikki for your excellent service.   I also ordered the Doo Hickey Doily Template, but I am absolutely seething it was nearly £19 and you only get 1/2 of a circle and to try and match it up to cut the other half is impossible it just does not match, I am really fed up bunny I can tell you.  Thats my rant over.

003

I didn’t know what image to colour up first, this one won.  I have used Magnolia paper for this easel card, and lots of lovely Wild Orchid Crafts lace, I have tried something new for me with the Crystal stems on the base of the easel  they are standing up behind the flowers it wasn’t possible for me to get a good picture showing the effect, but I love it and will be using it again and again.  The Cherry Blossom, and Curly Wild Rose  are from Wild Orchid craft as well as the Crystal stem.

005
Don’t know if you can see the stems better in this picture.

003c
The copics used are:
Flesh: E21, E00, E000, E0000
Hair: E17, E15, E50
Socks and Sleeves: C02, C0

Like an idiot I forgot to take Photos of my Sample cards before I sent them off to Crafters Companion, but the lovely Meg took some piccies for me to use, just in case you are wondering where the white background has gone!!  To make this card I have used a Scene from the CD and 3d a stamped  and coloured image onto it.  The papers are also from the CD.  Wow when I first received this Beatrix Potter Collection I spent hours just looking trough the CD there is so much awesome stuff on there, projects and the fabulous backgrounds as above plus lots more, I can see this being used for more than just Peter Rabbit projects, and of course the stamps are just perfect, I love all the characters on the sheet, especially one of Mummy Bunny with Peters brothers and Sisters.  I will show you one more card today look out for more during the week.

winterstale 015

More paper from the Cd and a great stamp from the Stamp sheet.  I made this into a shaker card (my first), I used Twinklets for the snow behind the acetate.  All the flowers, Ribbon and lace on both cards are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
