Christmas Stamps by Jayne Nestorenko–Sneak Peek

Afternoon peeps, kids all fed and watered just grabbed a couple of minutes while they are playing on the X box.  I want to share with you a fabulous new Stamp from Jayne Nestorenkos, Christmas Foliage release that will be available on her website from next weekend..

This is a stunning set of stamps and best of all they lend themselves perfectly to decoupage, although this one is flat I will show a couple of cards where I have decoupaged the image later in the week.  I have coloured the image with Copics (I did make a note of the Copic numbers on the back of the card) but have already to sent it off to Jayne, Doh!!.

The papers are from a pad I bought last year by Authentique, and the pine cone decoration was from The Range, hope they have them again this year.

I here noises coming from the other bedroom looks as if a fight is on the cards so better go in and break it up, before someone gets hurt BOYS!!!!!

A White Christmas

Late post again today, the Grandchildren are staying with me for a couple of days so my craft room has been invaded.   I have made a card todat for The Magnolia Down Under Challenge which is asking for cards using White on White, didn’t realise how hard this was going to be until I started it.  But with the use of lots of Dies and Enmbossing folders I have finally managed it.

mduc

I have used one of my new Tilda stamps again, that cat just makes me laugh so much.  Once again I have used my favourite Christmas tree dies from Dees Distinctively Dies - Christmas Stacker Trees, and another old favourite Doo-Hickey Vintage Swirl Die , I have also used The memory Box Frosty Border Die, a Doo Hickey Tag and finally Marianne Dies Snowflake.  Lots of Glamour dust has been added to the Tress and Snowflake using A quickie glue pen.

Colours used to colour this Christmas Tilda are:

E70, E43, E42, E40, E11, E00, E000, R30, R02, R00, R000

Enjoy your weekend

Butterfly Babies

SC1
Whilst having a quick look through facebook yesterday I was caught by a post from the lovely June Nelson, explaining about Kristas thinking behind her latest Saturated Canary Image  Butterfly Babies so of course I had to pop over there, Kristas post gave a short prĂ©cis of the terrible disease Epidermolysis Bullosa, it is a terrible discease and the suffering of the children and their parents went straight to Kristas Heart, so what did she do but sit down with her pencils and create this wonderful little image for us, to learn more about this terrible condition and how you can help and also grab the banner, please pop over to Kristas Blog just click here.
SC2
I am entering this card in The Papertake Weekly Challenge, Crafting For All Seasons - things with wings,
have a good evening and don’t forget to pop over to Kristas Blog

Time to Decorate the Tree

Oh what a beautiful morning, I feel like bursting into song, so lovely to see a blue sky.  Decided to use a completely different colour scheme on my card today, but not sure that it was a success, when my I only coloured with Distress Inks I used brown a lot, but once Markers took over my life I completely changed my style.

tree

I have made this card to enter the Totally Tilda Challenge which this fortnight has a Bingo Card for us to follow, I have gone for a full house with this one, Lace, Distressing, Gems, Dry Embossing, Punches, Ribbon, Flowers, Charms, Twine.

This little Tilda getting ready to decorate the Christmas Tree is from the New Magnolia Summer Club stamps, Ooooh they are lovely, so pleased I ordered them.  The reason for this brown phase of mine is while trawling around blogs and the internet I found a fantastic new website, how this gorgeous place had remained off my radar for so long has me puzzled but I am really pleased I have found it now, and the name of this embellishment heaven is Live and Love Crafts, the card was designed by my need to use the stunning Sand String of Pearls tucked into the floral arrangement, and the lush Shabby Seam Binding,  I bought from Live and Love.   The Christmas Tree is another of the Dees Distinctively Dies - Christmas Stacker Tree I have distress around the edges of the tree with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and then added large glitter around the edges.

Have you visited The Ribbon Girl website lately they are now stocking some really stunning Kort & Godt Flowers, I have used A Beaded Ivory Rose,   and 2 Ivory Rolled Paper Roses plus Swirl Branch from the collection, whilst making my order with the Ribbon Girl a couple more packets of Jingle Bells fell into my basket, you know how it is.    The Cheese-cloth tucked behind the image is also from Live and Love Crafts.   The papers are from the Lili of the Valley paper pad collection Krafty Christmas, and the sentiment is from their Christmas Grungy Messages.

tree1

I am also going to enter the card for the following Challenges

Stamptacular – Bling it on, Just Keep On Creating - Christmas is around the corner, Tilda's Town - CAS or fussy & fancy, Stampavie & More - glitter/sparkle

Enjoy your Friday

The Snowflake on the first card has been built up using 3 of the Dies for the set
Cut I Large, 3 Medium and 1 small and layer up as shown (NOTE that I have lined the dies with Greaseproof paper, this helps to release the shapes).
sb7
I embossed white card with the large Large M-Bossabilities Splendid folder then cut the embossed card into 2 pieces 1 x 5” sq and 1x 2” x 5” oblong, matted these onto silver mirracard leaving a small border.  I then stamped Penny Black Stamp – Crystal Wreath with an  Emboss Clear Ink Pad, added WOW Brass Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set, add Pearls and Rhinestones.  I layered up the card and added the  snowflake to the top corner as shown.

Believe

Evening as promised a second post, this one is being typed as I am waiting for Dinner to cook so it will once again be a quick one.

As I have mentioned I have been sorting all my Christmas Crafting stuff out, well not so much sorting out as moving it from the loft to the Craft Room, I have spent ages going discovering loads of stamps that I had forgotten and choosing which ones I would like to use over the next couple of weeks.

WS1

This is one of my old Whippersnapper stamps, I just couldn’t resist colouring him up to day.  The papers are from Nitwits Collections, Twas the Night before Xmas, lots of lovely reds and blues in the collection.  I also found this Martha Stewart Punch, cannot remember what it is called but have had it ages.  Once again my faithful Doo-Hickey Die – Vintage Swirl has been used, and also the small tag from the Spellbinders Dies Tag Set.

WS2

Going to check on the dinner now.  have a great evening

Hugs
